Karen is extremely patient and kind. She has worked with my son, who struggles with reading, for four years now. She has helped him make incredible growth and we are very pleased.

Karen was recommended to us by a friend to help my dyslexic son (7th grade at the time) with homework primarily reading and writing and to allow me to remove myself from the homework equation. Karen is a natural born educator and was willing to do whatever it took to connect with my son who can sometimes be a hard nut to crack. Her patience, sense of humor, and perseverance prevailed and after a few months she earned his trust. He is in 8th grade now and he plans his work around meeting with Karen. He will even advocate for himself with his teachers requesting more time for assignments so that he can work on them with Karen. My son even worked willingly over the summer with Karen to keep up his reading skills and work on writing. He is doing remarkable well in school and much of his success is because Karen believes in him and gives him the one-on-one attention that he can’t get in the classroom. Karen is a wonderful resource for our community!
