Dont take hybrids here. Priuses have been around for 25 years but these guys, despite saying they will work on priuses, dont know a single thing about them. I got charged $500 for literally nothing. The form-letter reply to this review from Midas is such an empty gesture that I have decreased this review from two stars to one star

Went in for a oil change and break pad check , was told multiple times they found another issue with my car after I had my car serviced and repaired at a different Midas location in NOVEMBER !!! kept telling me I needed a new battery after I just replaced it in NOVEMBER, told me “ hey parts fail” after I called the Midas location that I usually take it to but can’t due to relocating out of state the Midas manager at my normal location informed me the mechanic is just trying to up sell me a battery , car starts fine never stalls but yet it needs a new battery . Please do not try and up sell , service customers with honest work and if a part isn’t needed don’t recommend it . After arguing with the person for a while he brought out the testing tool for my car battery and wouldn’t you know I was right the battery was in perfect condition ... please close this location bad representation of Midas as they are a great company with awesome services but this one needs to be trained better

I had my sons PT Cruiser towed there as he unfortunately bottomed the vehicle out by hitting a center medium at night time. The vehicle was not drivable, as he damaged the oil pan very badly when hitting the medium and the oil was leaking badly. Matt quoted the repair and gave me a written estimate of $1374.38 for the whole repair. He said he had to replace the oil pan which I certainly expected, as well as one of the engine mounts which I could also understand. The problem I have with Midas is that Matt also said the radiator needed to be replaced, as it was leaking from the accident. He emailed me pictures of all areas that needed attention. The radiator replacement alone on the estimate was $547.12. Pretty high! After talking to Matt and receiving the estimate via email, I simply didnt feel confident about this shop, so I decided to have the vehicle picked up from Midas the following day and towed to another local shop called Legends Automotive. I had the vehicle repaired there and they did a great job. They were friendly and fair. The total repair bill from Legends was only $697.00 as opposed to, the $1374.38 quoted from Matt at Midas. Legends said that the radiator was not damaged at all. A line going into the radiator just needed to be tightened a turn or so and that was it. No leak! So, get a second opinion before going to this Midas shop and likely most shop especially for a large repair. The car was repaired expertly for about 1/2 the price quoted at Midas. S. Winter

Forgot to leave a review. A while ago I swapped exhausts on my mustang and they quoted me below what everyone else around was. Said it would be about 3 hours of labor it ended up being like 2 and a half and they just quoted me for 2. Got it done fast and fit me in same day. I would recommend giving them your business they are very reliable and I would trust them for all future work.

My car wouldnt start, was losing power, it was awful. These guys went looking for the problem and it turns out its a dealer only fix, but they tried, EVERYTHING! and only charged me for the labor to change a part. Theyre too much, Im sold for life.

They repaired a broken exhaust pipe for me. I was a walk in with no appointment. I was finished in two hours. Not bad when you consider it was including diagnosing the problem all the way through billing. Friendly employees. Only downfall was that the estimate they provided me was a little short of the final total. They included taxes and a hazardous waste fee at billing. I feel that could have easily been part of the estimate and would have easend the blow at billing. No one is real happy when it comes to pay for car repairs and the easier it is to fork over your card at the end the better in my opinion. With that said it was still a positive experience and I will likely return in the future. Hopefully its not necessary but its part of owning a car. Thanks midus crew

My go-to one stop auto shop. These guys are honest, hard working, and an all around great team. These guys are always willing to go that extra mile to get the job at hand finished and my car back up and running, whether it be an oil change or a brake check. Some say they are too spendy, I say they are on the low side of competitive, auto repairs are not cheap unless you do them yourself. This shop has proven that they are worth every penny that I have spent there and 100% would recommend over and over.

They take care of my car . The mechanics are honest and knowledgeable about what they do.I been their client for 8 years. Great Service. I feel very comfortable with their service , If the car needs a dealership service for security reason the mechanic will tell you and dont need to paid unless you schedule a diagnostic. They are experienced Mechanics. Schedule your oil change , they are busy.

Brought my truck in because it was making a weird noise while driving. Came to find out it wasnt an issue at all and they didnt charge me a dime. Great place, Id recommend it.

We had quite a few issues with our car. And a trip coming up. One issue they couldnt fix right away because they needed a part. But they were able to find a temporary solution. They were accommodating and made sure we always knew what they are doing. And with reasonable prices. Great place. Friendly staff.

Great bunch of guys. I had a flat and drove to Midas in hopes of a speedy repare. It turned out I needed a new tire. Although they didnt have my specific tire available, they installed my spare tire to get me going. Thats what I call great service!Hope to come back soon.

Great shop! When in for a Alignment and a single tire mount. They weren’t able to do the alignment because of a bad tie rod. But they mounted my tire!

Second time Ive used a Midas when I had urgent need, and second time they came through. This shop has nice people that know good customer service. They saved the day for me and I would recommend this particular Midas and I will be going back when I need service.

I recently purchase a 97 honda del sol and went in to have my muffler checked because it was loud. They said there was a hole next to the resonator and that it needed replacement. The work was completed, but the system still seemed loud. After about a month of thinking that it just doesnt seem right, I got a mirror out to look at the muffler area of the car and found the exhaust pipe completely rusted through the pipe before it reaches the muffler. The muffler is not even connected to the pipe. Im not sure whether to believe this team or not about the resonator issue. Was there really a problem with the pipe and the resonator or was this unnecessary work? I will be going back on Monday to see what they can do for me. It seems if I can see the severed pipe with a mirror, they should have easily seen it when the car was lifted. The issue would have been in plain sight. UPDATE: They were not apologetic at all when I went back in. They said that this happens and the walls of the pipe are very thin. Had we known the complete story, we would not have had the original work done. They said a new muffler and installation would be 5 days out and just under $600. That would put us at nearly $900 if you include the resonator work. No way! Ill get the part myself. It is two bolts and two hangers to replace. It took me just about an hour to remove this old decaying muffler. New one is about $100 online and delivered for free in two days. Took 30 minutes to install. Needless to say, Im not going back to this Bothell Midas shop.

Great shop but a word of advice. I have been taking my truck and cars to Midas for the last 2 years in Bothell, great service! Good quality mechanics that do it RIGHT and fast. Not like the SUBARU SERVICE at 15017 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155. Who will lie about fluids needing to be changed, then charge you and you find out they never did DO THE WORK, or how they recommended service but if you dont agree for them to be done they will DAMAGE those parts so that they will break sooner, that way youll come back to them and pay to get those parts fixed, Im a mechanic and I have caught them doing this to not just my own vehicles but my family members and friends and neighbors. Nope Midas of Bothell doesnt work by these dirty tactics they are a good quality auto shop that does the mechanic work right, but they are a business and are in the business to have more business. One caution – their recommendations are just that. They are a great service shop best in the area in my opinion and I love how professional and polite Joe is, Like I said Best auto shop in the area, but... If it’s not broken don’t fix it, if it’s not leaking don’t replace it, or if its life isn’t less than 5% don’t change it. They will find the problems and recommend you replace or change it or fix it. What they find is probably there but I say this because I feel for those who dont have any mechanical know how, and dont know any better. You can change! ^_^ Go buy a Maintenance manual at auto zone or Oreillys or Amazon on your vehicle and just read the first introduction. Know what is needed, when it should be replace and why. If you do this you will get a lot more miles out of your vehicle for the money you put into it. Good luck out there and tell everyone you know that the SUBARU SERVICE shop in Lake Forest Park is the worst evil peaces of s#!t auto service in our good community and deserve no business of any kind.

I don’t think they should charge for something that didn’t fixed the problem you went with. Which they did to me.Now, because i wrote a negative review about their service . They will no longer do anything to me. Thats what the email from them says. Bad review= no more service.

Needed some tires mounted and balanced in a jiffy. Midas did it same day. In fact, they completed the job in just a few hours, for a fair price.

Fast, honest. They quoted me a repair bill, but then it turned out to be more work than they had expected (didnt surprise me; that happens with fifteen-year-old cars). They charged me a bit more for parts, but threw in the labor cost no charge.I had also expected an all-day wait, but they did it in about three hours. I will be taking my car to these guys for as long as I live in this area.

No BS, no uneccessary upselling - These guys (especially the manager, Joe) are honest, experienced, and friendly. I brought in an exotic car and they were honest in every aspect of what they knew and didnt know. There was no guess work or know-it-all behavior (which I experience a lot) and I respect their honesty since it is such a rarity in the automotive industry. Good people. Buying a used car is a hassle but they gave me some great advice, made sure I was getting a good vehicle, and treated me fairly.

Took my 2001 Astro van in to get tie-rod ends replaced. They got it scheduled in right away. When I went to pick it up they told me I only needed the one side replaced since the other side had already been done a few years earlier so that is all they did. Quick and honest service.

Went there awhile ago for an oil leak and they way overcharged me to replace the distributor. But whats really bad is that they told me the wheel was bent and thats what was causing the vibration during the drive. Except... what vibration? Got a second and third opinion - no bent wheel. Its not just me, they screwed over a friend of mine, too. Ive had okay experiences at other Midas locations, but this drove me away forever.

Horrible place! I took my SUV there once to have an oil change done, about four months later I open up my engine compartment to find that I am missing my engine cover. I called them knowing they were the last ones to have my car, and asked them if they had it. He responded, probably not but Ill check. He called back a couple minutes later and said yes we have it come in and get it. I came in and they installed it without even saying sorry once. Absolutely horrible customer service.

These guys are shady to say the least. I took my car, which is an early 90s car, in for a oil change everything ran fine when I took it in, they finished the oil change and let me know my fan belt could use a change they were so nice.I had just spent $1200.00 on a new water pump and a tensioner a week and a half before with a mechanic I have used for 7 years very dependable.After leaving Midas Muffler in Bothell I drove about 12 miles to the mall I parked and noticed my car was steaming and overheated.I looked under the hood and water was squirting out of a small break in the newer radiator, not the original, right on top where it is plastic and easily broken by some dishonest mechanic.I called them right away and they said to bring it back in. I did and they let me know that they could put in a new radiator for me. I declined because the manager acted very shady and had a different attitude when I came back this second time. I dont trust them. This would not be the first time a shop tried to take advantage of a woman client. I have read the other reviews on yelp doesnt sound good.
