I love this little nail salon! They are so friendly and work together so well to take care of every guest that comes in! They’re up to date with trends and take the time to make sure your nails are flawless before you leave! I can not say enough great things about them!

City nails uses an autoclave to clean their tools, which very important to me as a diabetic. They were very gentle and the results were fantastic. I definitely would recommend them.

They are great beautiful nails and even and just what I asked for the only issue I had was is that they did three walk in before me when I was there first so that made me be there for 3 hours.

I’m normally not the kind of person to post things like this, I’m merely just hoping to get the owners attention since my numerous emails evidently didn’t reach them. I recently moved to the area so I am not familiar with the local nail salons. I call numerous times prior only to have no one answer the phone for me to set up an appointment. I arrive at city nails and am told to come back in an hour which I had no problem with. So I check in and write my info down and return later. I end up waiting in a chair for 3 hours until someone even begins removing my nails, and even then, it took them 4 times to fully remove my nails. I had two other friends with me who had separate appointments yet also waited for 3 hours. They both specified they wanted black nail polish with a coffin shape and were given navy blue nails with a square shape. I specifically asked for a coffin shape and received square nails that were filed way too short and my technician was very rough, cut my fingers and burned my nails multiple times. All of our nails were also uneven and goopy. It’s been maybe a week since my appointment and I’ve already had several nails fall off. I spent $62 to have 2 of my original nails removed(the others had already fallen off after being on for a month) and for a full set when I was told full sets start at $50. My friends were quoted the same price and paid $84 for two fills. How that adds up is beyond me but if the owners care at all about their customers or their reputation then I would appreciate for someone to reach out to me to fix this situation and maybe then I’ll consider coming back and supporting this business. In their Facebook info they state 100% satisfaction guaranteed but clearly that isn’t the case. It’s also extremely unprofessional to list a phone number for your business online only to have no one answer the phones at all. To add, while we were there the phone rang multiple times and they were intentionally avoiding answering it. My final piece, given the time that we are living in with covid, I expected the sanitation levels to be at the highest priority however the man doing my nails literally filed my nails and then with the same file goes to a complete stranger and files their nails, and probably 4 other peoples nails. All with the same file. There’s no excuse for that.The sink area had dirty towels with toenails on them that we were told to wash our hands with. I don’t mind waiting but unfortunately with all of these things on top of one another on top of waiting for 3 hours, I’m just very disappointed.

Went in to get a acrylic fill in due to graduation pics and also being on vacation for a couple days, i was unable to go to my regular nail salon, i felt a bit weary about going in to a different salon due to the reviews, i went in and Tim serviced me, he was amazing!! Ensured me my nails would look fabulous for my grad pics and offered many times to fix a couple mistakes my salon had made (i had no idea of them) he was very gentle and very personable and kind, the salon is very clean and follows covid safety guidelines, i will definitely be going back again.

They were slammed busy when I got there (no appointment). Staff stated 20 minute wait, but it was just a few minutes of waiting before I was shown to the massage chair. They were so kind and professional. All the staff worked non stop until we were all taken care of and properly spoiled. I had my eyebrows done while I was there and they’ve never looked better! I will be going back!

My mom and I were visiting on vacation and stopped in for gel manicures and pedicures. The staff was so attentive and fast. They do a temperature check and have you sanitize your hands before they start the service due to COVID, it was great to know that they are taking precautions. All of our nail techs were great, friendly, and did a fabulous job. The price is very reasonable and honestly... they should have charged more for my manicure. They were also very busy and not one of the clients had to wait more than a couple minutes. I was so impressed with their service. We will definitely be back next time we are on a mountain vacation

Last night I went to City Nails. Having zero idea they were already closed and its about 7, I bumbled by in the dark and they took me in. No questions asked. Looking for their phone number today, I see they close at 6. Im shook. They did not have to bring me inside their awesome place and give me such gorgeous nails, but they did. 😿 Now, I love them forever and will always come here.😸

We are staying in Boone on vacation for Thanksgiving and I broke my nail, because I am hoping to get engaged soon I HAD to get it fixed!!I was really nervous because I have a girl I go to back home that does an amazing job with my nails.I found City nails online and was immediately attracted to them because of the option to book online.We showed up to our apt 15 min early and they got me in immediately, they even were able to give my mom a gel manicure as a walk in.As the guy was doing my nails he kept trying different colors with me to make sure I got the best color for my skin tone!The attention to detail was AMAZING!!I would definitely recommend going to city nails!

I’m not from here and I was looking a place to get my nails done. The staff was really friendly and kind. Got there at a great time. The young lady that did my nails did an outstanding job. If I’m ever back in this area I will go to City Nails.

I got a gel pedicure and manicure here. My pedicure was perfect. The polish still looks amazing, the massage they did was great, and I loved it. My manicure was just okay. They barely rubbed my arms for the massage, and some of the gel polish is chipping around the tips of my nails, which its not supposed to do. Ill go back and try different colors and a different technician, because I think it was just the technician that did my nails. But, overall I give four stars because the pedicure was amazing.

Always enjoy going here . I have seen Tim for around four years now and I have never once left unsatisfied! Also he is the best at making your nails look exactly like the picture you show him . Fantastic experience. Booked a pedicure and fills. Kevin did my pedicure and was not only an expert nail tech but super friendly and nice. My pedicure came out perfect. Tim did my nails and again, a five star experience. He did exactly what I asked and corrected a former botched job. My nails look fantastic!! This is definitely my new nail salon in Boone.

I had read mixed reviews of this place and decided to find out on my own how they were. From the moment I walked in, Nguyen was very warm and welcoming. She and Brianna together, at same time, gave me a manicure and pedicure for my upcoming wedding. They helped me pick a good color to match my dress and the experience altogether was great. I will definitely return!

My husband came her for our first pedicure, the staff was extremely friendly and walked us through the process. Then talked us into manicures. It was a great experience! Definitely recommend

The quality of work was great and the service was even better. Im picky about my nails and the shape and he was very understanding and helpful. Best in Boone, as far as I know! The staff is friendly and more than willing to try something new. They recommended SNS to me after noticing that gel nails were doing some damage. However, my nails were dipped into the jar rather than being sprinkled by the powder (unsanitary).

I was very impressed with this nail salon. I had to get my gel nails redone while on vacation & they were quick and professional. I have used the same person where I live for 14 years & I have high expectations & am very picky. They met my expectations & did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend this nail salon.

I’m so disappointed. I just moved to the area and was looking for my next regular nail place. I chose City Nails because they had the most positive reviews. The people who work here are SUPER nice and friendly. The customer service was not the problem.I regularly get SNS manicures because I love how long they last. I’ve never had one chip before 2 weeks. However, it hasn’t even been a week since I visited City Nails, and two of my nails have chipped. Not only that, but they charged me $7.00 more for my manicure than the nail salon I used to go to in the Triad. The quality is absolutely not worth the price. I won’t go back.

Though I received wonderful customer service , the service itself wasnt worth the cost. The polish wasnt even leaving my toes nails different shades of lavender. My little toes had polish on it. And after a slew of compliments that they gave their self, my feet look like I soaked them myself and did my own nails. Very nice people but I didnt come for the people.

I was not satisfied with service!!!! Yes friendly when I was asking for all these things I wanted and said they would do it until halfway into it! I wanted acrylic on my toenails which I asked for in beginning and they all the sudden could not do it. I asked to have my nails and toes painted with a white tip and acted like I was crazy! I asked for all this in beginning. The women kept saying yes because I asked several times because because they already changed up on me so much. By the end I got charged the same price I was quoted in beginning and did not receive my acrylic toenails or my white tips!!! I did not leave happy. I did not make scene but I will not go back!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been going to City Nails for several years now and they are the best in town. I have been to different places, but Tin and his family do such a great job and my nails always are done the best here. Family operated and so nice- they are by far my favorites.

If you want cheap this is the place to go. If you want perfect manicure and pedicure, go anywhere else. It looks like I did my own nails and toes, which is not saying much.

The guy who did my nails today. 11/25/14, was super nice and easy to talk to. I got acrylic nails for my first time and he made them absolutely beautiful. Ive been a regular customer at City Nails for almost 2 years now. I started getting my nails done as a student at the university in town and still return as often as possible even though Ive since graduated. After trying almost every other nail salon in town, I came to City Nails and now I wouldnt go anywhere else. Tim does an excellent job with my acrylics. He does a flawless job, even when the shop is busy. My nails always last at least 3 weeks between fills and he has taken such good care of my natural nails. I constantly get complimented on how great they look. All of the staff here are so friendly and helpful and very accommodating. They always go above and beyond with their service. I stopped in here during my travels to Boone. They accommodated my sister and I just 30 minutes before closing without hesitation or complaints. I’ve never heard of charging for a nail “shape”. $5 would be understandable, but $15?! In a college town? Ridiculous. I’ve been to so many nail salons all over the states and not once have I ever been charged for a nail shape.On top of it, every time I’ve come here my technician stops working on my nails to work on someone else’s???!Not the appropriate service for what they charge.

I went in to get a full set of acrylics which were quite reasonably priced. Staff was all very nice and helpful. Even though it was busy the staff was still attentive and well mannered, no one had to wait! Great experience, and I definitely will be back.

Went in there to have my pedicure done today. The service was ok. The technician that did my pedicure looked like she didnt want to be there. She looked so sad. I told her that the water for soaking my feet is hot and she kind have an attitude. The polish she put on was just ok. I could have done it better. After my pedicure was done, my feet looked like I just stepped in dirty water. Both of my feet have white stuff on them. The price is high for a terrible job.The salon looks like it could use everything new. The tub for the pedicure is dirty. I would recommend to go somewhere else for better service and for cleanliness. First and last time there.

Wworst pedicure I have ever gotten, they took forever and were more focused on whatever personal phone call they were on. They cut the corners of my toenails, which they should they arent supposed to do. My 3 year old goddaughter couldve painted my nails better too. I really shouldnt have paid for it, because it wasnt worth anything.

First time visitor to this salon while on vacation in the area; walked in without having to make an appointment. Staff was very personable and greeted every customer by name as they came in. I had a gel manicure by Tim and he was very knowledgeable about the process, also recommended color options after I told him what I had in mind. After a weekend of hiking, climbing and exploring, my nails still look perfect! Glad I wont need to shop around, I now have my go-to nail salon in Boone :)

Last time I was here 3 different people giving me 1pedicure. I have to say it was the worst experience & pedicure I have ever had. I shouldnt have even paid for it. Polished chipped the very next day, the guy starting the pedicure & trimming my nails clipped my toe & when I jumped with pain he just giggled. It is suppose to be relaxing & stress free time, not st all!! I will not return!!

They do a good job and theyre really nice but theyre super expensive. Where Im from its never more than 25 for a full set and 15 for fill ins, here I get charged 33 for a full set. Dont even wanna know how much theyd charge me for gel. Yet, this is where I go, because every other salon in Boone will saw ur fingers off with filers and punch u in the face if u dont get gel.

I have had multiple places in Boone and surrounding areas that do an okay job. Ill leave not being happy with something small or thinking I might go back there. After going to City Nails I will never go to another salon in Boone. They are so friendly, welcoming and easy to talk to. They really want to do a great job for their customers and have the same prices as around town. If there is something you arent liking, they will graciously fix it right up for you. The only reason I gave them one star was because of communication. I came in with a picture of what I wanted. Wasn’t told of any extra charges. I go to pay and was told it was $60 for a manicure. The lady then tells me I was charged extra for length, shape and gel. All of which they never told me as they were doing it especially when I told the technician that it was my first time there.

I came to this place two years ago and decided to get my nails done, well i got fake nails(I know there is a name for them but I cant spell) and they were amazing. Well fast forward to this past weekend, I was recommended a place in the mail and they totally messed up my nails. So I came to City Nails, and I was going to get a cat-eye but I really didnt like it mind you they were almost done with my nails and I was hoping as they finished that I would like it but didnt so I started over. And they did not mind at all. They took their time even after I changed my mind. And my fake nails with gel coat looks amazing!! :)

Im in Boone on vacation and needed an acrylic fill in and cut down bad. I decided to try City Nails and had a GREAT experience. Tim was an amazing nail tech and now my nails look awesome for the rest of my stay. Thanks City Nails!!!!

Good customer service but service itself was not up to par. I went with my sister and mother for a mani pedi and they did everything fast for my sister very fast and she had finished her feet and on her nails and I was still soaking my feet. Then they worked on my feet and only did one coat and told me to go get my nails done. My sister had already finished a while before and then they had me soak my hands for a long time too. They did my hands very quick and another person came over to put the top coat on my feet but they hadnt done a second layer of color so I had to wait even longer for the top coat to dry before they could put on my second layer of color and yet another top coat. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience there.

Before I start, I will say I love the work this place does! That said, last time I went I was WAY over charged! And when I tried to say something they argued and started talking to each other in their language (not sure). I wanted just a plain acrylic fill. Site says thass $15. Says $15in store, charged $25. $10 is a lot for me. This has been quite a few months ago but I have not been back and I will never go back! I dont care how good the work is, I wont be overcharged and argued with.

Me and my roommate went in to get our nails painted for a wedding, they sat us down and painted our nails fast, but the paint job was horrid. We could have painted each others nails better than they did. Most of the nail wasnt even painted and they complained about the length of my nails. There was more paint around our nails than on it and my nails have a smear of my roommates color on them where she tried to touch them up too fast and mixed the wet paints. Overall a bad experience and will not be back.

Wouldnt recommend. Manicure was done in about 15 minutes. Hand massage took a total of a minute. Very disappointing.

The attention to detail is excellent here! They make my gel nails last just about three weeks and look perfect!

So let me tell you all about what I just went through in Boone. I was running errands with my service dog, Ernie. I was wanting to get my nails done so I went into City Nails, right next to Pet Supplies Plus on 105. I walk in, they seat me, and then they realize that I have Ernie with me. They told me that I would need to go put him in the car (in 85 degree weather...?!). I then tried to explain to them that he is essentially allowed wherever I go. I told them I would take my business elsewhere and went next door to the pet store. I just couldnt let it go, so I went back over to City Nails, parked in front, and left Ernie the the running vehicle. I went inside to try to talk to them about it and to explain the situation, and it escalated to the point where the two women at the counter were actually screaming at me and tell me that if I didnt leave they were going to call the police. I told them Id save them a step and do it for them. I drove over to the police station and got all the forms to fill out. This salon broke the law, and then they threatened me! After I left the police station, I decided to run over to Top Nails, in the Shops at Shadowline. This time I left Ernie in the running vehicle first and went inside to explain the situation. He told me I could not bring Ernie into the salon - no pets. Again, I explained that he is not a pet, but I working service dog and that to turn me away because of him is discrimination and illegal. My anxiety was so high at this point I couldnt handle another confrontation, so I just left. Be nice if I could find an American salon that understood American laws.

Yikes! Awful from start to finish. I was seated and they asked me to put my feet in the water. Then TWO people came through the door and the lady got them started and soaking....and began the rest of their pedicures while I sat. Still just soaking. When she finally came back to me, half the steps of any NORMAL pedicure were skipped. And the polish job looks like a 7 year old did it.To top everything off, I went to pay and was charged an extra $10 for heel treatment that I was never asked if I wanted to have OR pay for.Was pretty clean place.....thats all the good I can say about it.
