Had an awesome experience today with fly fishing guide, Nate Fordyce. He was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and patient while teaching us how to fly fish. Nate taught us a great deal about trout fishing and even about the trouts habitat. This was our first time ever fly fishing. We hit a couple of different spots in our 4 hour time. Our guide knew all the great spots and we left our trip happy. If you are in the Boone area , a guided trip is a must. They provide everything you need to fish with on the guided outing.The fly shop is awesome as well and the staff there are friendly and know their stuff.

I have done a Wade trip, float trip, and casting instruction with Boone Fly shop. All top notch experienced guides making sure you have fun and learn angling techniques. The spey casting lesson was excellent and accelerated my learning. Highly recommended.

My wife booked a half day trip of fly fishing for my father-in-law and me. Nate contacted us the night before as previously indicated when the trip was booked. Both my father-in-law and I had never fly fished before, but Nate was patient and put us on the fish. Nate is very knowledgeable and added great conversation pertaining to the local trout.

Being brand new to the sport of fly fishing makes it difficult to know what you need, especially if you dont know what you already have (and dont know what all the components are called). Alex helped to decipher what my husband needed to purchase to upgrade his current setup to one that is workable without any difficulty. Ben also recommended a cool cicada fly, which is apparently all the rage. These guys speak fly, you wont regret stopping by!

Awesome customer service! I was assisted by an extremely knowledgeable young lady. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted to purchase in regards to waders and boots. Unfortunately, they didnt have my size in the boots I wanted. She was extremely patient and allowed me to try on multiple pairs to find the perfect pair, all right at closing time. Very satisfied with their customer service and my purchases. I will definitely be back!

Everything you would ever need for fly fishing and more you didnt know you needed. Bought some waders and some tapered leader. Their rep was super helpful and offered suggestions on flies and fishing spots - one of which produced a nice 8 brown trout.

It was our first time fly fishing and Alex did a wonderful job getting the right gear in our hands, made great recommendations where to fish, and gave us a brief tutorial on using the equipment. Highly recommend these guys!

The young man working today was super helpful. Sweet and professional. Answered all of my many questions with great advice that helped me successfully fly fish for the first time.

I had a few minutes to spare while waiting for a table at a close by restaurant and popped in Boones for a few minutes. This was a find place with tons of equipment, flys and clothing. The staff was super professional and nice as well. Next time Im in the area I hope Ill have more time to shop and do some fishing.

The very best full service fly shop in the high country. I always feel welcomed here. I can never ask a dumb question. I took a guided trip with Joe Kostura. While I have been on many guided trips, this has to be the best. Joe made sure to put me on fish and also teach me some great new tips to help with my casting.
