This review is about the installation of a Salt System. They left the ground wire hanging from the pump to the equipment box. See the copper wire in the photo. When I spoke to the installer and asked that the wire be buried, I was told they do not have enough wire. They left without fixing it. I was told, It is not a big deal. You will be not be walking or running back there” The installer was dismissive and did not care about my concerns.I called the store immediately after the contractor left. One the phone I was told they would send someone to look at the problem. Later that afternoon, I went into the store to show. The store manager apologized for the installer and told me he was having a bad day. They sent out an electrician to fix the problem. Unlike the previously installer stated this was fixed without the need for any additional wire.In addition, the salt cell started to leak 2 days after the initial installation. They came right out to fix the issue. I am very pleased with the service from the store. I have been a loyal customer using Pinch a Penny for over 20 years. Always excellent customer service and fantastic help inside the store. All the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.I will not be using Pinch a Penny to install a system again. Even if someone is having a bad day, the work performed should at a minimum meet basic standards. I am pleased that Pinch a Penny fixed the problem. However, the quality of the contractors they use is something to be concerned about.

This Pinch a Penny is far and away the best one in the organization. I have been Loyal Customer going to this organization for over the last eight years that I’ve on my pool. Highly recommend the organization and the owner of this franchise.

These guys are the best. Frank, Joe and their team are very helpful and the shop has a great variety of products. No one pushes and at the end they only want you to be happy with your pool regardless. Good stuff !

Everyone at this location on Palmetto is super helpful, nice and very knowledgeable. They always go above and beyond to help me figure out what to do if I have pool issues, and every employee is hard working and courteous! I wish all stores had such caring employees!!

This place is where I buy all my pool chemicals and supplies. Theyll test your water for you if you bring some in, and answer questions. When youve got a resource like this you really can take care of your pool by yourself. Just dump in a lot of chlorine, make sure theres no leaks, and keep the filter clean. Thats 98% of whats needed, and these guys sell everything you need for that or anything else.

Very knowledge and helpful folks. On your first visit they will give you a bottle for you to collect your pool water. Then you can bring samples of the water and they will analyze it for free and will tell you what you need to do to keep your pool pristine.

Bring in your pool water for a free check up and chemical analysis. They are always helpful with loading and unloading carts and chlorine. It is always a pleasant experience and they tell you what will work best for your pool design as far as equipment and chemicals go.
