The owner is super nice! The crew is also helpful. They let me ride with them to help diagnose my car and I could tell them what sound I was hearing which is a first experience for me. Felt like my presence was acknowledged.

My truck was having mechanical issues so I googled a transmission repair shop near me and chose this place because of its good reviews. Larry was very friendly and professional and informed me of the problem, cost and time frame needed for the repairs upfront. He really cares about his customers and went above and beyond to make sure that I received the best service possible for my truck. He even paid for my rental for the day! Larry and his team have integrity. They do whats right, and they do it well. They are good Samaritans. I brought my car to them after I had been badly gouged by another shop that botched the job. We purchased a used car that the air conditioning had gone out on the day after we bought it. We took it in and were told that it was overcharged and a valve was leaking but they could get the part and fix it and to bring it back the next morning. They were kind enough to look at it that day even though it was almost time to close. I brought it back in in the morning and they went out of their way to make sure that the air conditioning was blowing Ice cubes by the time I left. They are wonderful there and I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. I highly recommend his place and you will not be disappointed if you take your car here. You will be greeted with a friendly smile as soon as you walk through the door, thank you Larry. I purchased a vehicle from Carvana. This location is one of a few in-network shops for their Silver Rock warranty. Long story short, within the 100 day warranty I had to have the engine replaced and the transmission rebuilt. Aamco did all of the work and handled most of the warranty business with Silver Rock. They stand behind their work and completed everything in a timely manner.

Larry was very nice and very transparent about the services they offered. He explained the issues in a way that was easily understandable and didnt try to upsell any unneeded services. Definitely would recommend.

I run a small used car lot up the street from aamco and I was looking for a shop to service my cars from the lot. I tried many other repair shop but Larry at aamco has been the best to deal with. He is very up front and honest with me from the begging. His prices are great and he stands behind his work. He is a very good person and all his employees are great as well. BEWARE I went to Aamco because I thought it was a reputable establishment. I needed rear differential work done on my ford escape. The price was great if they actually fixed the problem. Instead I paid them 1500 to have the same problem 7 days later. If you need rear differential work done go to a dealership or end up like me.I didnt want to make this review but everytime I get in my car and drive Im reminded of the situation.

I initial took my vehicle to this repair facility because I was covered under my warranty company for the transmission. Upon taking my vehicle there everything was fine. Things started taking a turn when I received my vehicle back and was told that the problem was fixed only for my transmission to go again. They put a used transmission in my vehicle which I was aware of but wasn’t aware it would go within a week of getting it back! So then we took it back and was told they would make it right. They repaired it once again. This time the man who runs the place, Larry was not so nice. He was almost annoyed even though no one was at fault and no one could’ve predicted it going so soon. Well they put another used transmission in my vehicle and sent my husband and I on our way. We took our vehicle to a mechanic to get it inspected and were informed that our transmission lines were leaking into the transmission cooler. Of course I was angry. This was the third issue we had dealing with them and it doesn’t end there. I called Larry and told him what was going on and he told me that that was not his fault even though it indeed was. He told us to bring the vehicle back and that he would make it right. He put us in a rental which he said from the beginning he would pay for. The next day he called me and told me that he shouldn’t have to eat the cost of fixing my vehicle which I agreed but then said he would eat the cost and fix it for free. He did do that but then insisted that we pay the rental car even though he said he would or we would’ve never got a rental. That’s where things went way south. He was very ignorant and yelled at my only myself but also my father in law. Then I received a call from an unknown number from a man who turned out to be the Vice President of AAMCO. He was very rude and he continued to question me. To the point to where I had to ask if it was a legal issue and if he needed to speak to my attorney. He questioned and spoke down on me until I cried and had to give the phone off to my father in law. He then told my father in law that we needed to pick up our car now and that the keys would be at the business next door. I have no clue if my car even got the repairs it needed. I was treated so horribly and I will not go back there! I have a warranty through them for a year and if something were to happen I would rather pay someone else to do it then take it back to that facility. How they treated me and my vehicle was disgusting and I couldn’t ever imagine dealing with them again.

I am not sure about their service as my engine light showed up again.

I was very satisfied with AAMCOs work. My CRV began having transmission problems when changing gears. It shuttered. AAMCO put in a rebuilt transmission. It had a 2 year warranty. Within a few weeks, the problem was back. Larry at AAMCO was very professional. AAMCO stood behind the warranty. Within a few weeks, it was replaced with another rebuilt transmission. I took my vehicle to this location because they were reccomend by multiple people I know. My check engine light was on, and i thought it was because i needed an oil change. I noticed my vehicle slipped once in awhile when shifting, but never thought anything about it. When they did a free diagnostic test, we discovered I had transmission issues. For years I have done my own repairs because I experienced some dishonest mechanics that created problems to get my car back on the lift. The crew at AAMCO has restored my faith in mechanics! I had to have my car towed, and based on reviews I had it sent here. I am so glad I did. Even though an inexpensive repair solution couldn’t be done these guys did everything in their power to lower the overall cost. They found me a barely used transmission to replace the CVT on my 2011 outback. While they were in there they noticed I had cracked catalytic converters, which I knew I had an exhaust issue prior, but not think it was that urgent. They replaced the converters AT COST and combined it with the transmission labor! If your like me and ran out of warranty, do not hesitate to give these guys a call. They will do absolutely everything in their ability to keep your costs down. I literally saved thousands compared to the quote from the dealership! I will definitely be returning to this business even though I am 30 miles away.

I have not had to have my transmissions dont st thing location, but I have had many in the past. I have had them done in many states. Aamco Transmissions is always my fist choice. Other places I have had to get services again because something we done wrong. At Aamco Transmissions, my car was properly serviced. They used the correct parts and supplies and performed the services well, professionally, and all the employees at any store have always been very courteous, polite and helpful. Explained any questions I might have quite well.

If I could give this place a 10, I would. They were absolutely wonderful and straight forward with my boyfriend and I when his transmission went. Larry, the main guy we corresponded with, he walked us through absolutely everything that they planned to do and also found other problems that we had no idea about. Plus they offered us financing which granted, wasnt ideal but it was nice to have considering the the total amount was more than anticipated. But all in all it was nothing short of a wonderful experience and we will be going there again.

I was in need of service on my plow truck. I have always been told bad about all Aamco shops. They will over charge, lie, and force you to do things. I have news for you! Larry Baldwin is the man for you. He is the current GM. He is the best, over performed, delivered on schedule as promised. Gave free advise, did not talk me into doing more but did give price on tires. The repair was smack on. They have a shop that many drive a great distance to get their honest opinion on things. Called twice and got Larry who wouldnt look at my car or tell me what is wrong. just insisted it would cost 2k+ So Im taking my truck to another shop that is more respectful.

My fiance took our car there to replace the driver side mirror. We bought the mirror ourselves before going in and they only charged $30 to install it after she said she couldnt afford the traditional rate. Also, had a battery installed for less than it would cost to purchase (without installation) from an auto parts store. Very nice, and obviously great service.

Best service Ive ever came across! They replaced a motor and a transmission in my 2007 Toyota 4runner with 284k. Took them less then 2 days to drop out the old, get the new ones at the shop and throw them in, not a part out of place. Ive been impressed. Perfect service. It now runs perfect! This place is a joke.Completely ripped off my warranty company and did NONE of the work they say they did. Bill is a liar. Picked my car up the next day after it was supposed to take 3 days to fix.. not one mark on my the engine bolts. Didnt replace my ac compressor and was supposed to call when it came in so I could take it somewhere else and have it put on . He never called Id like to see the old parts they apparently changed. My car was way worse after I took it there, it now pours out oil and I took it for an engine leak. After I called about it being worse Bill said its a coincidence but apparently its not. His mechanics suck and they knew theyd get away with ripping off my warranty company. Thats not how you run a business. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone ever. They got over $800.00 in labor fees for lying. Bill is FAR from customer orientated, he doesnt know his ass from a hole in the ground.

I was driving to my families house in Baltimore, Maryland from Windsor, Ontario. My transmission began to fail along the drive in Boardman, Ohio which is still 4.5 hours from my destination. I was panicked! I talked to Larry at AAMCO Transmission and he helped me get into a rental car and back on my way. As I was working with him to arrange service, he pointed out that the vehicle was still under warranty. He took the vehicle to Sweeny Chevrolet the following Wednesday free of charge and helped facilitate the repair while I was in Baltimore with my family. AAMCO may not be the least expensive option in the area but you get what you pay for. I had a very positive experience. I brought in my 05 Taboe with a bad transmission on Wednesday morning and as promised, it had a remanufactured transmission installed Thursday afternoon. Every other shop I spoke to was looking at a 7 to 10 day wait before they even touched my truck. If you want a professional product with no wait this is your place.Would also like to mention a 3 year warranty and a military discount.

The guys at AAMCO always do all my car repair and maintenance after I brought my truck in because I lost all forward gears and they diagnosed it as a $25 spring and not the whole transmission rebuild. They saved me $2k easy. These guys keep complete repair records and know what maintenance needs done and what has been done. Its a real service organization.

Do. Not. Go. Here. My car needed front brakes and after they inspected it they told me I needed 1000-1500 worth of repairs. I told him I wanted to do some research myself and come back for repairs when I felt comfortable. He accused me of wasting his time and borderline threatened my car with this quote youre lucky that we didnt take it off and it falling apart. Now after they put it back together my car was rattling and making a lot of noise it never made before I took it. They definitely messed with my car out of spite that I didnt do what they wanted me to. Dont go here. Awful people. Awful service.

Took my 2500HD in to get my allison transmission maintenance. Had other issues and Larry talked with me and gave me the entire diagnostic for free and gave me an unbeatable price. Not to mention that was fast, hassle free and professional. I will be a return customer and would recommend his services to anyone that needs them. I own a business myself and he makes sure i stay on the road.

Aamco did a great job and worked fast. I came in with worn down brakes at 4pm and needed new calipers, rotors, and pads and had it all fixed within an hour for a fair price. They told me about their oil change and tire rotation service and offered to check my brakes routinely when I come in for an oil change so they dont get so worn down! Happy with the service and would recommend!

Came in with an overheating 04 Forester with 170,000 miles after a road trip from my home in NJ. They identified exhaust gas in the coolant from leaking head gasket. I was given 3 repair options and prices along with the advantages and disadvantages of each option.I asked for a cheaper unconventional repair and they agreed to give it a shot. Along with an additional treatment suggestion from the store manager everything worked perfectly. It saved me at least $1,500.AAMCO had multiple opportunities to be dishonest and increase my repair bill by at least $1,000. But Larry the GM is honest and cares about his customers.I dont live in the area but I highly recommend this shop.

Our experience at AAMCO was very positive. The Customer Service Manager, Justin Petrello, kept us informed as to the status of repairs that were needed. He quoted us a price and the actual price came in under. We received prompt and courteous service. A few days after we brought the car home Mr. Petrello called and asked us how the car was running and if we had any problems or concerns. I will definitely continue to do business with AAMCO and would highly recommend them.

I called this AAMCO shop and asked about getting my transmission fluids changed. The service employee told me to bring my vehicle in and they would run a free diagnostic. I did that, and they test drove it and plugged in an electronic device under the steering column to check for transmission problems. They then told me that my transmission was fine, but they would do a tranny flush on my vehicle anyways just to keep the vehicle running fine. I reasoned that if my fluids were fine, it would be pointless to get my transmission flushed. So I thanked the workers and turned to leave. Immediately the employee began whining about me not listening to his professional advice and told me very rudely to leave leave the shop. Later, I did some research on my own and discovered that if I had gone along with their professional advice I would very well have ended up with a destroyed transmission. Looks to me like these people are just out to make some easy cash by offering unnecessary auto repairs, so beware.

Took our car to the AAMCO location in Boardman, Ohio. Received great service. Since it was so close to the Christmas weekend we had plans to travel over 400 miles to go visit family. Larry and his crew made sure the vehicle was done in a timely manner that we could still go on our road trip. Over $1800 worth of repairs were made to the vehicle. Larry made sure the repairs were accomplished and kept us in the loop as well as the insurance company. I would recommend this location for repairs on your vehicle. I can not say enough Thank Yous to the staff and Larry for the timely work and getting us on the road in time to enjoy Christmas with family and friends. AAMCO will be doing all the repairs on our vehicles from this moment on.

Ive gotten the opportunity to work with AAMCOs owner, Bill Jones, in several capacities over the last two years. Obviously I am a customer of theirs, and I can say without a doubt theyve handled every problem Ive ever brought to them dextrously. I always feel at ease walking in and I feel even better walking out because I know Ive received straightforward and honest service. Ive never had to go back to AAMCO because a problem wasnt fixed right the first time and not once have I had any concern over what I paid.Bill is also a customer of mine, and that gives me a unique look into what goes on behind the scenes - something the public probably doesnt see. Before stopping in I was worried about pricing and hesitant to get my muffler taken care of. After Bill reassured me he could take care of my issues for a fraction of the cost I thought it would be, I was filled with joy! The guys down at Aamco do solid work an affordable rate. I actually came in due to a problem with a repair I had at a competitor. The difference I encountered from the other store, and the Central Manager Larry Baldwin was simply black and white. He gave me all the information he could regarding my situation, what my options are, and spoke to be honestly even when it wasnt completely in his favor. All of this, and I had not even ordered any servicing yet. I know where to go to next time.
