He quickly and precisely fixed all issues we had with our home which were many, including exterior wood rot around several windows and a sunken porch. We hired Handyman Connections for a baseboard installation for a client we did flooring restoration work for. They sent out Spencer R. He showed up for the job with his dog. He was not ready for the job. He thought he was coming out to do an estimate. From the start, Spencer tried to work under the table with a cheaper estimate than Handyman Connections wanted to charge. This was very shady.He charged us $300 to do less than 200 ft of trim installation, which we paid. When he started the job he was not on time, from being under prepared. The next day he packed up his tools and explained he had another job and left. The third day he never showed up. We checked the work and it was not at all up to our satisfaction or the clients satisfaction.Handyman Connections was contacted several different times and they state that Spencer says he never got paid. He did. He lied to them and they believed him. They will not to date refund our money and left us with a shotty job completed. We had to pay another $300 to another company to come in and fix Spencers mess.Handyman Connections was referred to us by someone that had a great experience. We went on that info. BUYER BEWARE, the contractors they hire are a flip of the coin.

11/5/19: Scott is working with us on multiple projects for multiple visits. His level of knowledge and his ability to understand not just what needs to happen today but what needs to happen now to assist with the thing we might do 1yr+ from now is just what we want. He answers any questions we have, is willing to walk you through any process, and is unflappable with pets and tiny people running around during his entire visit. Can’t wait for him to come back.11/14/19: Scott came back out and completely reworked our wall with our TV for us so we could safely run ALL of our devices that plugged in, instead of them all being off a surge protector. In the course of this we found that the entire family room was on the same circuit as the kitchen, so he took the time to talk me through it, did say that it could stay the same, but we both agreed it made more sense to just make the family room it’s own circuit, so he completed extra work all in one day. He does an amazing job, and I appreciate his expertise and ability to slow down and talk through a problem that comes up.12/9/19: Scott came back out, and helped replace lights, which included needing to remove a big ugly fluorescent light for 4 can lights, all with our nice new programmable switches which link up to our Echos. We took the time up front to ensure all the light placements were perfect before cutting into the drywall, which I appreciate. He is also amazing at keeping his work space clean and tidy. Yes drywall makes dust everywhere, but he vacuums and cleans up between cuttings to minimize his impact on the rest of the house.12/11/19: last of the light for us with Scott! He created a band new circuit of lights where no lights had been before, again taking the time up front to make sure the placement is perfect before cutting the drywall. He also swapped out two lights and put in all the new programmable switches for us again. Our entire main floor lights can now be controlled through our phones or asking Alexa! We couldn’t be happier with finally having light in all our rooms of our house! Now to just schedule for drywall repair 😬.

Scott Horrigan rebuilt my condo’s aging screen room. The old room had consisted of a framework of 9 wood screen doors. Scott expertly replaced the deteriorated doors and framing with new framing and new screen panels that he constructed. Under the screen panels he built a much needed knee wall using Hardy board set atop a water barrier material to protect the knee wall. He has excellent electrical skills and added an outlet and upgraded the existing ones. He suggested using solar screen to help deflect the sun, making it much more comfortable in the evenings. He has made the screen room a show piece.

Rob and Andy did an unbelievably quick 2 and 1/2 day remodel of a power room, (quoted 4 days) and we could not be happier. Ship lap walls, all the electrical and pluming, install of lights, vanity and all the rest. They work from the minute they get there to the minute they leave. Very professional and very courteous. My 18 year old electric fireplace stopped working. I made multiple calls to fireplace companies and could not find anyone who repaired these. I then contacted Handyman Connection and they sent ScottHorrigan who discovered the circuit board was burned out. He attempted to get a replacement but due to the age it was no longer available. He added a fan/light fixture to my living room (along with the wiring as there was no previous overhead lighting) as well as replaced my fan/light fixture in my kitchen. Scott changed the outlets connected to the fans making it easier than having to use the chains to adjust the fan speed or turn the lights on and off. Scott Horrigan did some electrical breaker additions for me and provide info on other items that needed to be addressed! Arrived on time an thorough. UPDATE Apr 2021I worked with him through a 3rd party spent over $1000 for electrical work , First time using one of the outlets he installed and it didnt work. He advised he doesnt warranty materials only workmanship despite having purchased and installed it. Said he would replace it if I bought a new one 3 weeks later he installed the new one then advised I owed him $90 for install. I told him that a cost was never talked and I would work it with the 3 party that sent him he refused to leave my house and said he would take the outlet back out , and keep asking are you threating me when I told him he needed to leave . I will never use him or Handyman Connect again.
