Just finished installing around 1300 sq. ft. of flooring that we purchased at Unique Wood Floors. I installed all of this myself, so it was very important I know what I was getting into!When we picked our flooring up from the Hopkins location I was assisted by a guy named Winston. Unique Wood Floors was a fabulous business to work with. I grew up in a home with cork floors and installed cork flooring in my own home many years ago. I recently downsized to a townhome and replaced all carpeted areas with beautiful, very contemporary floating cork floor and I love it. We purchased enough to cover two bedrooms, dining room, living room, and hallway six years ago. The two bedrooms and hallway were laid six years ago, dining room four years ago, and the living room last year. The floors laid six and four years ago still looks great. Very happy with it.

Working with both Winston and Andrew was a pleasure. I found Unique Wood Flooring when searching for a local company selling Acacia hardwood (this was the only one!). I was in the process of a major first floor remodel and had a very bad experience with the flooring provider selected through my design & build company. Their incredible knowledge and patience put me at ease and educated me about wood species, floor manufacturing processes and types of flooring. They specialize in wood which is a huge bonus if you have worked with other flooring supercenter type places in the past. The icing on the cake is that their prices are great. We got 3/4 solid Acacia hardwood installed for the same price the other company offered up engineered wood. The floor was just installed and looks stunning. I am pleased to be able to write about my wonderful experience with Unique Floors. We had a wonderful installer, who put up with our lack of knowledge about installing wood floors. I thought we were going to drive Mark crazy, but he preformed and installed the floors better than I could have expected. He solved all the problems that came up (and there were lots of problems). They look absolutely amazing and it feels like we have a showroom home that looks just like those homes on HGTV.

I am not a customer, but I am very grateful to Andrew, who contacted me about a $3100 order he received. He was worried that the delivery address was in Louisiana. It turned out my credit card had been hacked and I may not have known about it for several more days. There was also a second charge for around the same amount to another construction supply company. WOW! Where do I start? We searched for what seemed like forever to find a new wood floor forthe main floor of our house. I bought the oil & wax finished hickory engineered hardwood floor. Once it’s installed, I was surprised (in a good way) by the beauty of the light and dark mixed colors of this wood floor and the beautiful effect of the oil finish! When I saw the hickory sample in the showroom, I was not impressed by its color. I chose this wood just because of its hardness and the oil finish. I was hesitated about the light color of the wood sample I saw in the showroom, so I talked to a friend who bought the same hickory wood from Unique Wood Floor last summer. My friend told me that this wood floor looked VERY BEAUTIFUL after it’s installed! He said that he would buy the same hickory floor if he buys another house in the future. I just took my friend’s word and bought the Oil & Wax Finished Hickory Engineered Wood. After it’s installed, I am very glad that I made the right choice! All of my friends who came to my house are impressed by the beauty of my hickory wood floor.Unique Wood Floor has all the accessories I need to care this wood floor. The hickory hardwood I bought was treated with a special WOCA oil finish from Denmark. Unique Wood Floor carries the WOCA accessories, such as soap, refresh oil, mop and etc. The WOCA soap contains coconut fat to protect the wood in each cleaning. The WOCA mop is quite expensive, but after looking at a cheaper cotton mop in Target, I can see the difference in the cotton mop head.Winston and Yao are very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me to find the right kind of hard wood according to my requirement. They honestly told me the good side and down side of the several hard woods I was interested in. It’s a pleasant experience to work with them and the installation process was very smooth.
