Too expensive. Although my tax person was nice he didnt (know) answer a few important questions I asked. And the price was rediculously high.

It is very expensive. As advertise the upfront cost is $59, but while finishing it turned into $300+.The block charged on different title like: HSA, Child care etc. There is nothing to enter much except 2-3 text boxes.I suggest hR block to come up with solid and reasonable cost plan.

When you receive a call from your tax representative about how they forgot to acquire your signature on a vital tax form after the actual tax filing session, you begin to question the overall display of professionalism at hand. The day after I filed my taxes, I had to revisit the same filing location a second time to produce a simple signature which came at a great inconvenience. Some consideration should be given, out of common courtesy, that paying customers have lives outside of the H & R tax office. When I revisited the office, the location was not open approximately 5 minutes to 9 a.m. My tax representative was actually chomping down on his breakfast in his car when I arrived. I walked up to the door only to discover that the location was closed.The tax representative rushed out of his car to open the location in order to produce the outstanding signature. Yes, he still had crumbs on his shirt and I had to wait inside of a dark office for a few minutes to do something that should have been addressed the day before. I got charged $244.00 for tax preparation services that did not fit the premium bill for what I was charged. The actual session took approximately an hour and I did not feel my tax representative observed the necessary due diligence to truly explain anything to me. It seems the unspoken word was ask if you have a question otherwise no answers will be provided. Now, here is the million dollar question; all things considered, is such an experience worth a $244.00 charge?Furthermore, little to nothing is done to explain the pricing of services before the actual session. In the interest of customer transparency, such disclosures should be made to avoid unexpected surprises. My experience at H & R Block taught me that customers pay to assume the un-assumed only to get charged a high premium for someone to do something you could be doing yourself while dealing with unprofessionalism.

I have been with H & R block for many years. I have my taxes prepared by the same person every year, and it is a breathe of fresh air knowing that my taxes are prepared quickly, professionally, and in a high level of security.It is my tax preparer, that I return to every year, and although there have been glitches with front desk personal, I look beyond the superficial incidents that may occur because it is the end results that matter to me.

I had filled my taxes on Friday 15th in Feb, so what had surprised me was, when the tax prep told me its better filling single instead of filling head of household.. in the past I always filled head of household...DNT know what shes talking about but can someone please help me...

They charged me $425 to do my taxes saying that it’s because I have a child and got the earned income credit saying that those forms are extensive. What they really meant to say is that they know it means you’re getting a refund and that they want their cut of the money. He told me they could take it out of my refund for an additional $40, um no thanks. I’ve had my taxes done for $150 before as well as doing them on turbo tax, I’ll stick to that. I also called Monday to ask for a breakdown as to why they charged so much and had to call back Friday to actually talk to someone. But Cynthia at the front is the nicest. Honestly everyone was super nice it’s clearly an H&R Block policy problem not the people that work there. Honest review.
