My family member tried calling twice and was asked to leave a message. The gal never called back and this family member urgently needs a restraining order and safety plan. Understandably they are very busy, but return a damn phone call to ease some anxiety. Not impressed

Though I fully support the mission of Cornerstone, and agree that they’re convey a sense of empathetic authenticity, my personal experiences have been less than helpful. I feel almost as if I’m not in need of assistance at all, due to my needs being more “in between”- meaning, I don’t feel completely helpless or desperate, but still need minimal assistance. I don’t feel that Cornerstone is reliable for persons with means or will to try to be self sufficient first.Though I refuse to be considered or treated as a victim, the first time talking with them I had asked for information or direction for support groups to help me sort out my conflicting emotions. That’s really all that I felt I needed at that time, but for me emotional wellbeing is the first requirement for my personal success, and therefore very important step for me. I was promised an email containing recommendations, but no email arrived.I never heard from them again until a second offense occurred, at which point they are required to reach out to me, which they finally did.... but nearly 36 hours later, and after a hearing for the linked pending charges had already occurred. This experience with Cornerstone was especially shocking- within minutes of the introduction during the phone call, the call was disconnected. I believe it was an accident entirely, unknowing what caused it, but I don’t think the benefit of doubt was mutual. I waited over 20 minutes for the person to call me back, at which point I felt a prejudiced determination to my situation had occurred, and my potential needs dismissed. I tried to call them back via the line they called me on, and it was not a valid number to get through. (So I have to take even more steps to look up the organization, and ensure that I’m calling the correct place of interest? This is discouraging in my opinion, because there are MANY outside companies that work with the court proceedings or best interest to case details, leading to a risk of confusion and error of revealing sensitive information where you wouldn’t normally be comfortable doing so...) As shocked as I was, I was more disturbed by the potential effect this experience would have on someone trying to cope with a stronger emotional turmoil and insecurity than I... I didn’t make any further attempt to reach them, hoping they would prove the integrity of their follow through....I still haven’t heard back from the organization, and a second hearing for the second offense is in 2 hours. I’m glad I didn’t need to rely on them for any kind of emotional support/grounding, or emergency assistance for repeated offenses, but what could have been at risk if my situation and needs had changed since the first experience with Cornerstone?!In conclusion, I’m hoping that this review will serve as an alert for the opportunity to better understand the impact that their tenacity has, and encourage it through their training process and accountability. In my opinion that would create merit for their mission and show integrity in their services and training.

These people do NOT help African Americans. I’ve tried to get myself and my 4 kids in here once. NO HELP! Today I call for my mom and was told to call back just to get a big NO we know your black can’t help you.. I will never call or ask for anything from these people.

They really helped me in a very stressful time. Amy Isenor has been a Godsend. I was able to accomplish the things I needed to get done with their help. I couldnt have done it without them. They spent countless hours tending to my business. I am so grateful.

Several unreturned phone calls in 5 days. Combative employees. Staff makes appointment, showed up for appointment only to sit for 35 minutes and not be helped. If you are a male or African American seeking help DONOT call this organization as you WILL experience the same poor services as I have. African American male w/child. Read other reviews posted by African American woman and even they are not helped either.
