Great service. True to their name in honesty. They worked on my wife’s vehicle and located a $100 bill- which had been misplaced underneath the hood - and Nate called us right away to let us know they located it and placed it safely within our vehicle. Very much appreciated the honest and thorough service.

Bad experience!! They should be called dishonest 1 .. I was told I needed a transmission and I took my vehicle somewhere else and they said I need a new battery and a couple of fuses. Plus was charge $224.00 for a high price lie!!

I had a leak from my radiator on a Sunday and called the Bloomington store and left a message. I was able to get my car into the shop Monday morning and they found the problem within a half hour. They called me and I authorized them to do the work and had my car back around noon. I have used this shop before and they are very good and friendly. They even have coupons. Give them a try. You will be glad you did.

My car was overheating on a Sunday. Honest-1 Auto Care got me in first thing on Monday morning and had the job diagnosed and fixed before lunch. Reliable service at its best.

The waiting area was nice but after the work was done I had problems to the car I never had before. They just want me to come back and fix things that were already fine before. Never ever coming here again!!!! If I had a restart that I would’ve chosen somewhere else to go.

Very nice mechanics. They help you understand exactly what is going on with the vehicle. Easy to make appointments over the phone (that’s the only way I have ever done it). Leaving 3 stars due to my most recent visit. I had my tires changed and an oil change done. Upon receiving my vehicle after the work, oil life was not reset in the car computer and a new oil sticker was not present on my windshield. Had to ask to get that done after paying for the services. Also, after leaving, I had to come back the next day due to the windshield wiper fluid light coming on. After asking the mechanic, “I thought you topped off all fluids for an oil change?” He replied with “yes we do, I apologize for this inconvenience”. After watching the mechanic pop the hood and refill the washer fluid reservoir. I noticed the power steering fluid had not been topped off either and so, I politely asked him to, in which he again apologized and got right to it. Overall nice people, but I’m starting to wonder if my oil change actually occurred. However, I will be giving this place another chance as they are usually always transparent, nice, and will match other shop quotes. Just ensure proper communication is occurring! This would be a 2 star review however, they were nice and they fixed their mistakes so I will bump to a deserving 3.

I took my vehicle in due to a rattling noise and rough acceleration. It was diagnosed as having bad cv axles. So I agreed to have them replace both of the cv axles to resolve the issues. The cv axles replacement took about an hour and I picked the vehicle up. To my surprise I was still hearing the same rattling noise. So I took the vehicle back in to have it looked at once again and was told that they did not hear the noise and that it could be that the tires needed to be rotated, so they rotated the tires. When I went to pick up my vehicle I test drove it with the mechanic that worked on it and he acknowledged that he did still hear the noise as well. No apologies or anything to compensate for the service. So once again I left with my vehicle having the same problems I came in with. I am very disappointed with the service I received after paying $1,022.

This is my first time I took my vehicle for routine service. The service received is decent. Service fees are reasonable. If you are Costco member, you can request 15% service coupon or on Honest1 web site you can get service coupons too. I received free car wash coupon at paradise next door when I pick up my vehicle. Would recommend this place for people looking for a decent place for routine service.

I did a pre purchase inspection at this place and they gave me a lot of good tips on my new car before I buy it which was really helpful. Nice and clean place. Recommend it to you if you look for a decent price by the way.

I was having issues with car stalling but had no engine light. There was no code that they could find but they stuck with it and were able to duplicate my issue and get a code to fix my issue. I appreciate that they were dedicated and did not give up on looking for the root of the problen

The guys at this location are really good. A little more money that I wanted to spend on repairs, but thats the market, not the shop.They got me in and out the same day. They were thorough and didnt upsell anything. Great customer service and very friendly. I would recommend them.

We had a problem with noise by the wheel, and didnt know what was causing it. Honest -1 took care if the problem by scraping most of some tar that had accumulated on the tire from summer road construction. The fee was low so this was a good value for this job, it was sone on time and handled in a professional manner.

Stopped by on a whim to see if someone could assist in removing my cars license plates in order to put on new ones, as Id had no luck doing so myself. Two awesome employees (unfortunately I didnt get their names) attempted to help, but to no avail. They suggested I stop back the following week when there would be a tech working who had the means to do the job. As recommended, I returned. Tony greeted me in the lobby, then called in Chad. Both also great guys, they took the time to make sure my plates were removed & replaced in a matter of minutes...at no charge. You have earned yourselves a new customer. My Mini & I will be back. It was a Thanksgiving miracle!! I had an issue with my car, and not only were they able to get me in the same day I called, but everyone was so kind and helpful! Thought my car had a failing fuel pump or injectors and was running poorly and dying randomly. I had them run a diagnostic test and turns out it was a sensors wires simply needed to be reseated because the sensor was losing connection. Saved me hundreds of dollars in labor costs, thanks!

My garage door stuck 3/4 of the way open and I didnt see (rear window cutoff is conveniently right at that height...). Not only did I shear off my radio antenna, it pulled up part of the roof.I called in, sorry I forget who I spoke with, and was advised to bring it by for an assessment. Nate took care of the front end and Chad handled the vehicle. Not only did Chad reconnect the wires, he pushed the damage out as best he could and re-attached the antenna almost good as new!This might not seem particularly interesting, but the end result is much better than I could have done and the turnaround was exceptional.

Was easy to make appt online for an oil change. Nice location with easy and plenty of parking. No waiting they started on my car right away . They found a few things that were wrong and that I might want to have fixed. Explained them, cost , and urgency of needed repair. NO pressure given. Returned later that week to have a cracked belt replace. Would definitely use them again !!

Called on a very cold day hoping they had a cancellation. They did. Got me in for an oil change w/in 15 minutes. Done and out the door. I used their wifi for work while waiting. Clean, professional and courteous. They let me provide my own oil. Ill definitely go there for my next auto service.

The service was prompt and efficient, my only issue would be that you haven’t provided an alternative to waiting inside other than a small table across the parking lot which at the time I was there was occupied. I had to stand in the parking lot for almost an hour, dodging traffic while I waited.

First time bringing my car into Honest-1 and had a terrific experience. This will be my go to shop moving forward.

Having recently moved to the area, I took a chance on Honest and was immediately impressed with their ability to get me in quickly, do the work efficiently and communicate clearly about my cars needs.

Weve used this garage several times because it is so convenient to our house. Mechanically, they get the job done. Other than that, I dont trust them any more than any other shop. They have very high part prices - recently quoted $100 for an OEM sensor that I can buy directly from Mopar for $35 or $51 from the dealer. Labor rate and time seems to be about the same as others at $150/hr.If you need work done under an extended warranty program, go somewhere else. They complained that my warranty company was hard to deal with, but it seems what makes the claim difficult are the high part prices. In my most recent interaction with Honest-1:They got nothing in writing from the warranty company and quoted me an incorrect deductibleThey sheepishly asked me to pay portions of the bill that were not my responsibility just so they didnt have to work with the warranty companyThey changed their diagnosis and bill and told me that my warranty didnt cover it. I called the warranty company and found out Honest-1 never actually called to check. They lied about this several times and eventually admitted they never called because there was no reason to. My warranty company says it is most certainly covered when I talked to them...Instead of breaking my bill up into time and materials like normal, they gave me some generic level 2 diagnostic charge which was conveniently the exact amount that they thought my deductible was - so they wouldnt have to call the warranty company.Maybe this was an isolated event, maybe it was just one person. But in one visit I got high prices, incorrect diagnostics, and lied to about my warranty claim. Ill find another place to go - I dont think this place is as honest as they think they are.

Went in with 2 electrical issues. Honest-1 diagnosed both and provided detailed information and options, leaving the final decisions to me. I had the work done and my car was ready later that day.

I am a long-time customer at Honest-1. I am routinely satisfied with the experience and the results. They take care of our cars well, recommending routine maintenance and necessary repairs as needed, and help us prioritize any major issues that are pending.Recently, I had my daughters car towed to their facility after the car stalled and wouldnt restart. We all thought it might be an issue with the alternator, which indeed tested poorly. However, the problem didnt get resolved after installing a new alternator.Rather than recommending replacing other parts, the technician and manager at Honest-1 took the time to search for any possible engine recall issues at Hyundai. Long story made short, they found a service bulletin that seemed to describe the issue. We had the car towed to a Hyundai dealership. They engine was replaced at no cost to us.Its likely that I would have eventually discovered this outcome on my own, but it is so nice to know that the staff at Honest-1 truly are interested in getting the best possible outcome for their customers.

Bought a new to me car and within a day had the check engine light come on. Had a different shop tell it was going to cost $1k to fix! I took to Honest-1 in Bloomington and Chad was incredibly patient and helpful. He did a thorough inspection on my car and gave me a complete run down of things that needed to be done. My potential $1k came down to getting clean oil and a cleaned VVT Solonoid for much much much cheaper. I appreciate everything that Chad did and that he explained everything to me so I was no longer panicking! Excellent and friendly service.

Consistently transparent, nice to work with, on schedule. They helped me diagnose and catch a grinding noise that couldve been a bad brake issue if ignored. Changing my wheels out for the season is cheap and fast here.

I had an appointment for a oil change. It was smooth. The technitions even added air in my tires!

Had to wait for 45 Minutes outside in 25 degree weather because they had closed their waiting area. I was told I could go down the street to another business and wait there but not where I as getting service done. Totally insensitive and off the charts thoughtless!

We ended up bringing in 3 different cars for used vehicle inspections, and were impressed every time! They were always able to fit us in, took time to explain everything to us thoroughly and were incredibly helpful!

Deceptive prices on oil changes. 1/2 off...UP TO a maximum of $20. Full synthetic shouldnt be $70 with a coupon. No better value than going to the dealer. Not quick (for the $$$), either. Wont be going back

Good service and fairly friendly. They were honest enough to show me the old air filters when replacing, without me asking, which gives a little more trust that they are doing things right. However, when rotating my tires, they forgot to add air, thus thus my sensor is still on. Overall, I plan to go back. I like the Saturday hours for those of us making the weekdays.

They always explained and discussed any needed work prior to any actions. I have since changed locations, and my experience at another Honest 1 location was not good at all. I would recommend the Bloomington location only!

We have been going to the Bloomington Honest One for over a year, great staff, knowledge mechanics.Nate allowed me to go into the garage maintenance bay see what needs to be fixed, brakes, new tires, oil changes, then in September of 2017 We moved to St.Paul.I went to the Honest One off Hamline in St.Paul this one is literally blocks from our home.I have been to the St.Paul location 2 times.The 1st experience I had 2 new tires put on the back & an alignment done, no problems.The 2nd time, was not a positive experience so much so that I called the Bloomington location & explained to Tyler & Nate my experience @ the Hamline St.Paul location & asked if they could look under the car & give me an estimate.I no longer trusted the Hamline Honest One. (Hamline & Bloomington locations are NOT owned by the same person F.Y.I. )After doing some research for parts Nate (who explains what needed to be repaired & allowed me to go back to the garage maintenance Bay Area to see what needed to be repaired)I called him back to hear the estimate Nate gave me an estimate that was over $200.00 lower than the Hamline location because he had actually taken the time to looked under my car‼️I will always take my car to the Honest one in Bloomington, because they are HONEST, & explain & SHOW YOU what needs to be repaired‼️I live in St.Paul but I will drive to Bloomington to get all our future repairs from the Bloomington Honest One!They have won my family over w/ their thoroughness‼️THANK YOU NATE & team at the Bloomington Honest One ‼️

Only autoshop in the area I trust! They always explain things and make sure I really understand before doing anything! Ive come here for oil changes and a couple of check up things on my car. I have never felt tricked or pushed into doing/fixing anything. They are excellent everytime I visit!

Usually I would go to burnsville honest care but I move out and Bloomington is closer, I call to see if they can do walk in oil change. The guy was very rude and unprofessional who answer the call today. I call in if they had any special deals for oil change & he say yes but you need to make an appointment because were full & I tried to make an appointment with them but he started to interrupt me & being sarcastic and hangs up. I wish I could have got his name & make a complain. Not worth my money on this location. Ill be going back to burnsville honest care !

Honest-1 seriously took care of me. They were very knowledgeable and affordable and they presented me my options in the best way possible. I was unable to get to work as my car had broken down and the manager was kind enough to shuttle me all the way to Minnetonka so I could be at work as soon as possible without having to get an Uber. They were patient in my decision on what to do with my vehicle and gave me honest answers on what went wrong. Highly recommend!

On Friday the 13th no less I had purchased a 2009 Avalanche. On my way home I had car troubles. When I pulled off the interstate the owner had just pulled up behind me making sure I was ok and if I needed help. I explained the issue and he had me follow him 2 blocks to their shop. They had me pull right into the bay and the whole team started digging into my truck before I even got out of it. Not only did they make sure I was ok outside the shop, they took care of me. It took a nightmare and made it a sunny day! I would highly recommend them to anyone. It is a shame I live so far away otherwise they would have gained a life time customer. After a week I reached out to them to see what they would charge to replace the issue after it was further diagnosed and they provided great knowledge that the mechanics that did the diagnosing did not check/try. This further amazed me on how great this place is. Superb!!!!!!

I work across the street and always took my truck to Z tek, so I was a little apprehensive when I saw the shop had changed hands.. Z tek had earned my complete trust, and we all know that can be a little rare in the car repair business. Ive now made one visit to Honest 1 and it was a good first impression- they bought all of Z teks service records and seem to realize they have big shoes to fill. I needed routine maintenance and was about 75% sure I needed new brake pads- they got the wheels off and called me and told me my pads actually looked great, and if I was okay with the rotors being rusty (which was a condition I knew about) there was no need to have anything done. I was pleasantly surprised, both that that was the case and that they were honest about it!

If I could give this company and location 1/2 a star i would; it doesn’t even deserve the 1 star. Last Friday, I called the West Bloomington Honest-1 Auto Repair Shop (next to Goodyear on Old Shakopee Road) and asked if I could get my vehicle in to recharge the A/C. I was told by the front desk staff that I could bring my 2009 Chevy Traverse in and they would work to get it in for the recharge price of $100-150. When I arrived at Honest-1, vehicle technician Tom pulled my vehicle into the shop and put it up on the hoist. My wife, 4 kids and I decided that we would go sit at Burger King and wait for a phone call that our vehicle was done. While sitting at Burger King, I called the shop and checked on the status of the repair. I was told by Service Advisor Matthew that my vehicle needed several parts replaced with the recharge of the A/C. Matthew stated that the cost would run around $1,600 because the repair required 5 hours of labor (priced at $124.20 an hour). I requested that Matthew write up an estimate of the repairs needed and that I would think about the repairs. I asked Matthew if my vehicle was also ready to be picked up from the shop. Matthew asked me to give him about 20-25 minutes to get my vehicle down from the hoist and to have the estimate wrote up. I then walked back to the shop from Burger King to pick up my vehicle. When I arrived back at the shop about 25-30 minutes after we talked on the phone, my vehicle was still on the hoist in the shop and Matthew did not have the estimate wrote up yet as promised. I sat and waited another 10 minutes before I asked again if the vehicle was going to be taken off the hoist because I was there to pick it up. Matthew again asked me to give them a few minutes and I would be on my way. When Matthew printed off the estimate, he said that I needed a new blower motor fan although the one in the vehicle was stilll working fine. The estimate was now showing an out the door price of $1,300 for all parts and labor. I explained to Matthew that the price seemed unreasonable and that I will be having it looked at for a second opinion by another repair shop. Matthew said ok and told me to have a good day. I then walked out the front door where my Chevy Traverse was parked outside.Later Friday night, my wife and I showed the Honest-1 estimate Matthew provided to me to another mechanic and was told by that individual that Honest-1’s estimate seemed fishy and all that would need to be done was a recharge on the A/C. The mechanic was then able to get my Chevy Traverse into his repair shop Saturday morning for an A/C recharge. The tech got my A/C back up and running without needing to replace any parts for a reasonable price of $108 including tax.I STRONGLY CAUTION ANYONE TO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THE BLOOMINGTON HONEST-1!!!!!!!

We had our car towed to Honest 1 a few weeks ago.The last snow storm proved I needed new tires. I was stuck in our townhome parking lot. The towing company told me the tow was $77.00 and they would bill Honest 1 and I could pay them. When I went to pick up my car Honest 1 charged me $96.00 for the tow. I stated that I thought it was unfair to charge me an additional charge when they didnt do anything. Ben, the man behind the counter, made up some lies to cover the upcharge and told me the previous owner upcharged on tows all the time. Unfortunately, Ben did not know that Ken Zumuda, owner of Ztech is a friend and honest businessman.We will never take any of our vehicles to Honest 1 Auto Care.
