After calling a few other places and being told they did not accept new customers (first place, but good referral to second place), I kept calling the second place for a few weeks, leaving messages, but they never returned my calls, searched online for appliance repairs and found Mr. Appliance, they were able to schedule an appointment a few days later (benefit to working remote)!! They texted a photo of the service technician with appointment reminder.Great & outstanding service by Tim, he called earlier than appointment and asked if it was ok to come early, he diagnosed the issue of the leak from freezer to fridge and showed me why it was happening. He came up with an innovative way to solve the leak and saved my aging but well manufactured fridge! Still dry! Thank you Tim & Mr. Appliance!!

I would highly recommend Mr. Appliance. I tried them for the first time today. Over the past decade, I have used 2 other appliance repair businesses from Bloomington-Normal and 1 from Champaign, and my experience with them were less than pleasant. The call center person was very nice and I was able to make my appointment within a week. The day prior to the service date, I received a text with a picture of the service person that would be coming to my home (Trevor) and confirmation of the time and date. On the day of service (they gave me a 1 hour window), I received another text with the picture of the service person letting me know that he was almost at my home. Within about 10 minutes he arrived. He was wearing a mask and he put on shoe covers as soon as he entered my home. He then took apart the front of the dishwasher and he was able to diagnose the problem, as well as fix it, within 30 minutes. The dishwasher had not been working for months. He also gave us tips on maintenance and gave us a free sample of a demineralizer to use. He only billed us the minimum fee to come out to our home because the fix was easier than he had anticipated. Trevor was friendly, very professional, and he was obviously honest! I will be calling them again for any future appliance issues. Thank you for a great experience!

From the first call, every one I dealt with was friendly and professional. The first visit was to check out the problem and that was done in a timely manner. The second visit was less than a week later when the parts came in. Again, friendly and professional. What I loved was that the parts that came were less than originally quoted and they passed that information on and credited the difference. I will definitely use them again!

This service was recommended through LG to repair our fridge. The company knew there may be a possible compressor issue. The service technician who was at our home (who was wonderful) found the issue and offered pricing for repair. We contacted LG who provided full authorization for the repair of our fridge. Mr.Appliance refuses to work with the customer in getting the issue resolved. We will not use the vendor nor recommend this vendor to anyone. Our advice would be to avoid this place at all costs.This company is unethical and has poor business practices.

Our dryer was very loud, so trying to be proactive, I called for a repair with another company. They told me it would be 10 days before they could get out to look at it. I called Mr. Appliance and they put me on the schedule for 2 days. The text information about who was coming and when was incredibly helpful.

Jeff Waller gave us an amazing service today. This He came out after finishing his final job for the day after he heard that I had to leave for Scott AFB for reserve duty the following week and had no other openings. He was professional, kind and hardworking. My concern was related to the removal of a possible dead mouse from my dryer that was being stored in the garage since pest control would not come out. Something they typically don’t do. I truly can not say enough about how satisfied and thankful we are for the help. I highly recommend!

Cannot recommend Michael enough!! First, we had issues with our stove and 2 parts needing replaced. He was efficient, professional, and friendly. Then our dishwasher quit draining so we got to see Michael again and still couldnt be happier. Always on time and you receive a notice with the technicians picture prior to their arrival. So glad I found this company and Michael as our technician. Makes me feel so comfortable to know we have a place and a guy we can trust!

The tech was brilliant. He knew exactly what to do, even made recommendation to keep my current dryer than buy a new one as it would be cheaper and that this older model will hold up a long time. This review requires some background information... I will try to be brief.I have a 20 yr old gas Maytag dryer. I have had NO problems with it since it was installed in my basement. I noticed a load of towels was not very dry... unusual I turned on the dryer again.... no drum rotation. I figured a broken belt that drives the drum holding the clothes.After a few Google searches I called a local appliance repair company. NOT MR APPLIANCESteve... answered my call. He talked a really good game. Said he knew all about older model Maytag machines. Good I thought! He said over the phone.. yeah I can fix it for around $150. Hoping to keep this thing for another year or so... I thought Sounds good to me.Steve (again NOT MR APPLIANCE service tech) comes to my home, takes my dryer apart. Starts talking about all these other parts . Says he will get back to me... Cost went from $150 to $300. I said call me when you have parts information. I NEVER HEARD FROM STEVE AGAIN.. Even after several text messages and phone calls.. BUMMER! Broken and disassembled dryer in my basement.I called Mr Appliance. Katie answers my call... Katie was cheerful, witty, professional. Explained how their Company works. Asks me for model and serial number (which I had). Said she would check on parts and get back to me. Ok this is good. Next day....NO CALL from Katie on parts or scheduling .... Ummmm here we go again.Well different story. Katie called me at 8:00pm that evening and explained that two service techs called in sick and she had a ton of juggling to do. She said Im working late to be sure I could get caught up Customer service - Indeed. Said she did get my parts ordered and have a service tech come out as soon as she had the parts. Took an extra day to get parts but got scheduled for the very next day.Service Tech Jeff came an hour early ( he did call and text me that he was coming early--- Much appreciated) Jeff was great. He had my dryer working in 30 mins. I was charged exactly what I was quoted by Katie the day before. Parts and labor included!Both Katie and Jeff did a great job. They were professional , very pleasant to work with and honest. Much appreciated these days! Overall my experience with Mr Appliance was very good. Hope my old Maytag makes it another year LOL....

They came to my house on Tuesday to repair the microwave. I was told they had the part needed in stock, they would come back by Monday to finish the job. Monday came and I had to call them to ask when they were coming as no one had called me back. I was then told the part was not in stock and would take 2-3 weeks to arrive at best. Ironically, I was able to order the same part on Amazon Prime that day. I called back multiple times to request to speak with a manager. Manager never called me back. They refused to issue a refund for their diagnostic fee. I am still waiting on that call back...

We were very pleased with the prompt service and repair of our microwave appliance. The service person was friendly, on time and worked quickly!! We didnt have to wait very long for a part to come in and were pleased to have a working microwave again!

I cant say enough about this company, Im in a really tough spot financially and my oven stopped working. A dear friend of mine reached out to me after reading my post on Facebook to find out details and then she reached out to Mr. Appliance to see if they could help. She gave them my number to contact me to make arrangements and a very nice lady from Mr. Appliance called me to verify all information and to let me know they would be ordering the part and that all of this would be taken care of at no expense to me! My friend had covered the cost of the part and they would be covering the labor. I am very grateful to both of them and as soon as I am able to pay it forward thats exactly what I plan to do! The service man that arrived was friendly and on time. He had the repair done within 30 min!I will use this company again for my needs and will gladly refer them to my family & friends!

The problem with our stove was fully explained. A part was required, and we were informed prior to installation to make sure we were at home. It turned out there was a less costly solution to our problem, so it didnt turn out nearly as expensive as it could have. The repairman was just as interested in keeping the cost down as we were.

I needed a new refrigerator part ASAP and they responded quickly. They came as soon as they could and the installation was affordable. I would definitely recommend Mr. Appliance 10/10

If you want to go with this company please get a second opinion first.(I would recommend Fraziers appliance repair). These guys overcharge and then make up different excuses. I had issues with carbon monoxide leaking from the stove pipe in my rental property , and the technician did not bother to call me for the estimate, and permission to proceed. They just sent me a bill for $495.45(eventually charged me $465.45 with a coupon), and my technician-who was out of town at the time- confirmed that I have been overcharged for this. I called their office and the first manager said that they charge $195/hour, and that is why I was charged almost $500. I called their Champaign office, and the lady confirmed this and said that 195 is even lower than the national average!!! After I posted a negative review, the main manager called, and told me that they charge $85/hour and the technician was there for couple hours, and that is the reason for the high cost. They just contradict each other to justify the high charges. Please go with smaller companies that do not need to pay for office or secretary, and as a result will charge you less, and do not have to lie about reasons for overcharging you.

I’ve used Mr. Appliance a couple times, now, and have been pleased with the service. My only negative comment is that I feel their service fee is high at $90. While it’s appreciated that they deduct this if they actually do the repair, it’s still an additional $90 when the expense to fix the appliance is too expensive and you end up buying a new appliance.

Its a bit pricey to have a heating element replaced on a stove, apparently, but the service was fast, professional, and effective.
