My family has used McGarry Appliances for all our rentals for years and have always been very satisfied with our experiences. Theyre knowledgeable and professional, and also very friendly and respectful towards us and our tenants. I really appreciate that Bill always takes the time to explain exactly what he is doing and why, it helps me feel like a better homeowner and landlord. (Side note, they were more than willing to wear face masks while working on the property!)

I called McGarrys on a recommendation back in mid-July, and the guy showed up the next day, albeit later than expected. He did his diagnostic and figured out the problem with the washer, said he would have to order the part and would be back in a couple of days. And so he was, he replaced the part and ran tests on the washer, and declared it good to go. I did a load that night and it was fine.Then a few days later, I went to do another load, and it stopped running just a few minutes into the wash cycle. I called the next morning and they said they would be out later that day. He showed up again, started doing diagnostics on the washer. This time however, he said he wasnt sure what the problem was because it wasnt finishing its diagnostic cycle. He said he would have to look into it more and get back to me.That was 6 weeks ago. I have left a number of messages and voice-mail with no response whatsoever. I tried calling today and didnt even get an option to leave a message, it just rang. At this point I dont even know what to think, I want to give them the opportunity to make it right, but I need to stop doing my laundry at my exes! Very frustrating.

They do not return calls!!! We had a guy out twice and he was really nice but if you want work done within a few months - move on! Of course the two times for our fridge and it is still not fixed and after five calls, I am moving on. They did fix the breaker for the dishwasher, so they get a star for that alone!

I called them to repair my washer. He came out charged the fee and said to call back if I had issues, he started a cycle and left. The washer was still broke and I tried calling him back immediately and he wouldn’t answer or ever reply. I still have a broken washer and I am out his fee. At first he was friendly and responsive but once he is paid...good luck!

I had such a wonderful experience with McGarry Appliance in July. I had no trouble getting someone on the phone when I called in the morning (several calls over two weeks), and the washing machine wizard was prompt, skilled, persistent, patient, honest, and kind. I would absolutely seek their help again.

Fixed my dryer and very reasonable rate

I was glad I found this company. I had a dishwasher not draining that I could not resolve myself (and I fix most things myself). I called around to 4 different companies. Mc Garrys didnt answer right away (which is almost why I didnt go with them), but the other places were quoting me pretty high. Mc Garrys called me back and told me a better rate and how theyve been local for a long time. Im all for that. Especially when one of the calls I made (I think it was Yes Pest) transferred me multiple times.The Mc Garry’s service guy came over and was very nice. He tried a few things, said something about how he should have known what it was and so knocked 15min off my bill and ended up giving me some free parts from another dishwasher he was scrapping or something. Pretty sweet deal. Hes now my I know a guy line for conversations with friends who need appliance help, haha.

Initially was very friendly and helpful. Supposedly a part was ordered for my appliance but that was over 3 months ago and I have never gotten one single follow-up phone call or information since. Ive left countless messages that have not been returned and the phone has never been answered, except once in the several months that Ive been calling, in which he told me the part was on the way. That was about a month or so after the initial visit and its now been over 3 months and I have still not heard anything.

Great service! This was the second appliance McGarrys has successfully repaired.

He showed up the first appointment Oct. 14th, when he said he would and was very personable. He had to order a part and returned the following week to install it. Again, he came when expected and did the work. He said he hoped this fixed the balance problem, but said it may not and to let him know. We payed in full that day. It did not fix the problem at all, so I called back. I have called and left voicemails on 10/23, 10/30, 11/4, 11/5 voicemail was full and was unable to leave a message. I left messages again on 11/14, 11/19, 11/20 when it was full again. After paying in full for the repair, and receiving no response after leaving ample messages it seemed my only recourse to get this made right is to leave a review.

They came the same day, and quickly diagnosed the reason my refrigerator was not cooling as the starter relay. A replacement from the truck was installed, and the repair was complete in just about a half hour...which is the free time included with the service call... service call was $85...which is $20 less than some...plus they were actually nice!!;;Will definitely use them again!!

I do not recommend McGarry for appliance repair. They came out in a timely manner and the technician was very friendly. He told me what he thought was wrong with my dishwasher and said the part would be in the following week. The following week came and went. I called three separate times after that week asking about our repair. I got outdated answering machine messages only. No one answered, I left messages, and no one ever called back. We sat with a broken dishwasher for weeks while waiting, thinking they were going to repair it. It has now been over a month and we never heard back. Dishwasher still broken. Enfuriating. I strongly recommend you don’t rely on them.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I called to make an appointment and the guy was very friendly, we scheduled a time on a Thursday and when that time came, no one showed up. I called and asked what happened, and thought perhaps it was my error, no one answered or returned my call. I waited until the next Thursday, again NO ONE came at our scheduled time. I had been using my stove all this time, and no huge problems, I tried the day after their scheduled appointment and it sparked and caught fire. The fire is not their fault, but If they came and did their job, then the fire could have been prevented. I will never be calling them again, or recommending them to my friends. Do no count on this repair service.

Looked at our washing machine and advised that trying to repair the machine wouldnt be worth it. Offered to look at a machine that I knew was on sale second-hand for no additional cost. Very kind and timely. I definitely will be calling again with any appliance repair needs.

Was so disappointed. Had appointment time and no one showed up. Called and left message on answering machine. No one called back. Had to schedule with another repair service. Cannot give a recommendation for them.

Im a little bit of a do it yourselfer and I always go to the McGarrys for parts and advice and encouragement. I still find it cost effective to repair semicurrent devices. I give the McGarrys high marks for expertise and courtesy

Nicest guy ever! Saved us a lot of money with free advice over the phone - instructions on how to diagnose the problem with our broken dryer ourselves, and estimated cost for repair once we identified the issue. In this case, we are better off replacing the unit, but I will definitely be calling them back if we ever have a broken appliance thats actually worth repairing!!

Came out within days of calling, came when they said they would, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem and even fixed a part I hadn’t asked to fix. I highly recommend McGarry Appliance.
