Incredibly unprofessional and unreliable. The address for this location is a Wendy’s. Not even the store front let alone the satellite parking lot. Ive waited over an hour to get a truck I reserved weeks ago on several occasions. The agents are rude and never on time. Mobile pick up is an absolute nightmare. Also good luck getting any kind of assistance on a weekend they are NOT a 24/7 service as advertised. I will never use U-Haul again after my experiences with this location.

This was by far the worst U-Haul experience I have ever had. This is the first Google review I have ever left because I am so upset about the experience.If you, like us, arrived at 162 Bloomfield Ave and have spent forever trying to figure out where the trucks are located, they are at 143 Grove St (a few blocks away and around the corner). We spent over an hour looking for our truck. The store had no employees present. They left a hand-written note on the door with a number to call for help while they were away but that number just called the landline inside the store. We spent >30 minutes on hold with U-Haul before they told us about the other address. However, for remote check in, you still need to physically be present at 162 Bloomfield Ave. for it to work. Then, walk over to 143 Grove to complete the steps.Return of the truck was just as bad. Though an employee was present, I was told I HAD to park it myself in a tiny, crammed parking lot where I narrowly missed scraping up all sides of the vehicle to park it. Again, though an employee was present, I was told I HAD to do remote check out, even though the U-Haul app had a bug and would not let me upload images of my vehicle. This led to another log stint on hold with U-Haul customer service while out in the hot sun. This U-Haul location caused so much grief and loss of time. I recommend any other location over this one (and preferably one with U-Haul employees on duty for check in and out). Needless to say, we will never be booking with this location again and recommend the same for others.

Quick pick up of reserved trailer. Had to drive around corner to get hitched up, but it was not difficult Employees were friendly and helpful.

I did have a very pleasant experience with this U-Haul branch. The owner informed you of the location of pick-up the day before via SMS, the parking is easy to find and there are plenty of parking spaces in the streets nearby for your own car.

I would only come here because I have no other choice. They make you park in a lot somewhere else thats not easy to find. The employee didnt really care and just gave vague directions and told you to go find it on your own. Hopefully they open up another place since this one is not good.

A complete utter rental nightmare!Ive rented vehicles all over the country and world, and this was unbelievable. I reserved a truck to make a local move and hired a couple of guys to help me. All I had to do was pickup the Uhaul truck that I had reserved. Sounds easy, NOT!I arrive at the address and cant find the office. I call and was told that theres no office, its an automated pickup. I said, well thats different, but it must be easier or they wouldnt do it, NOT!The guy on the phone directs me to the rear of some storefront where the vehicles are located (not the safest place to be retrieving a vehicle that requires multiple steps). I then had to find a parking spot on the street, which wasnt easy in that area. I follow his instructions to retrieve the vehicle which involved installing an app in order to retrieve the keys. Ok, I wasnt expecting that. I then had to register the app, which only sounds easy. I could not get it to register me. I call the guy for help and has me on the phone while hes doing two or three things at once. After not being able to get it to work he tells me to delete the app and reinstall it. That worked.I then had to take a photo of my drivers license and upload it. Humm, dont like that, but ok. Then it ask me for a second form of ID, from a list like at the DMV. I call the main UHAUL number on the app. She asked if I had a Passport I could upload. Now Ive been standing outside in a parking lot behind some stores trying to do this. I dont have my passport with me and I wasnt giving these people a copy of it anyway. She said, ok, then you will need someone to vouch for you. vouch for me, WHAT the ....? Im 45 yrs old with a job and credit.So, I have guys waiting for me, Im in back of some store front and I have been at this for about an hour. I hang up and enter my brothers contact info into the App as instructed. It still wont work. I call back and they tell me that it has to be an in state number. Ok, upload a friends info. Still not working. I call back and was told that the person did not answer the verification call. They then ask if I can go get another form of ID. At that point I said ok, hung up and drove ten minutes to Penske Truck Rentals in Montclair. I was in and out in ten minutes.

Update : Luckily their customers service is good. They found and solved the problem within 2hrs.Do NOT go there. They charged me for 49 extra miles when I only used their van for a 5 miles trip. Plus, the van wasnt even where I last parked it. Who knows what they did with it ! All I know is that they are now charging me extra and Shaun didnt even care or listen to me when I was explaining him that I couldnt have traveled 49 miles ! Never again. It was supposed to be a cheap nice solution. Turned out to be an expensive nightmare !

Ive had a lot of UHaul horror stories, but this was such a pleasant experience. They had the truck we booked ready to go and were so helpful when we were running late to return the truck. They took care of everything for us. I would recommend going here to anyone looking to move.

Great service .. pretty straight through and self explanatory self service.. I booked at 11 am .. picked up the car at 5 pm .. no problems. Ordered online.. didnt have to interact with a single han being it was freaakinnng awesome!!!

Used them for a furniture move. Process was easy and good communication and service. Location is odd--in a biker leather electronics shop, but zero complaints.
