Wonderfully welcoming staff who appear to genuinely want to be there. My dog is easily excited and we are working on his jumping up. They were calm and understanding to help him be comfortable with them before starting any treatment.

Sadly I thought I had finally found a vet that cared. Well I think they cared but the vet (Reed-Harris) maybe to inexperienced. I took my cat here because she was squatting all over the house but also because she had not pooped in a week and wasnt gaining weight. My husband and I have repeatedly stated we think she is block but this vet just like the previous one at Andover did not listen to the client. My poor little girl did not poop for weeks and yet they didnt think this was a concern. Although she did suggest an ultrasound it was to check her kidneys not her guts. They never listened to her gut sounds which there were none. Finally we took her to the emergency where upon palpating her belling they felt her EXTREMELY block. Ultrasound determined there was a tumor causing the food she was eating to be back up into her stomach and at which time she would vomit intestinal contents. My poor little girl did NOT deserve the pain she had to endure for a month. We had to put her down the same day. I do like the office and may try them again but will be asking for a more seasoned vet.

Advanced Veterinary Care offers exceptional care and kindness. Not only are all the staff friendly, but they are knowledgeable and skilled. When we visit the vet it feels more like visiting with friends. My dogs are always treated with compassion and extra snuggles. Tonight we had a little scare with our French Bulldog, Piggy- the staff and Dr. Elton were there to meet me at the door ready to help Piggy with her allergic reaction. The care is always exceptional and Advanced Veterinary Care is where we will always go for our dog’s needs.

Best veterinary clinic and staff. All three of my cats go here. The clinic itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. They sit on the floor in the rooms to make your pet feel more comfortable. I wouldnt trust my pets with anyone else! They also appreciate their clients human owners, holding appreciation days and fun events. Thank you for being an amazing place!

If I could give this place ten stars I would! I am so thankful for Dr. Elton and his staff! I have been taking my dogs here for over 5 years and cant imagine taking them anywhere else. They are kind, passionate, caring and very knowledgeable. They really take the time to go over everything with you and answer your questions/concerns. They also offer a reasonably priced pet plan to keep your pets on schedule for what they need (shots, exams, testing, etc).

Ive been using Advanced Veterinary Care for years, so I already knew of their excellent service, helpful + knowledgeable staff, and phenomenal care. But after bringing my new puppy in for her second round of shots, general checkup, etc., Im SO very impressed with Dr. Eltons dedication to his clients!He talked to me at length about potty/crate training, teething and appropriate chews/toys, nutrition, and puppy behaviors. I havent had a puppy in over a dozen years so I had plenty of questions, and he took the time to thoroughly answer each and every one.Before the appointment Id been a bit worried about some of my puppys behaviors, but Dr. Elton smoothed the waters by explaining what was happening, and why...I left that appointment feeling so very upbeat, armed with new information to help me be the best puppy parent.And, of course, the rest of the staff is awesome, too--the vet techs who work at this clinic truly care about your animal, along with offering exceptional customer service. I cant recommend this vet clinic enough.

Even with needing to do everything over the phone due to COVID right now. They were amazing. They emailed quickly with blood results for our cat and recommendations on treatment for our cat. We will be going back

I love Dr. Barrett and her whole team. My dog and my sons cat and my daughters cat all go to Advanced. The team of people are caring, kind, professional, thorough. I trust them 100% and would recommend them to anyone!

My first experience was a misdiagnosis even after I had strongly disagreed with their diagnosis. The first antibiotic for what they thought was an abscess didn’t work. They added another antibiotic After I called and said the anabiotic is not working for the gaping wound. They recommended that she should have surgery to remove her teeth that were involved. They wanted to schedule the surgery right away. I told him that I felt it was not an abscessed tooth because the injury was on outside of the snout, I felt it was a spider bite. The area healed with cleansing, antibiotic ointment with our care at home, it was not an abscess. We thought we would give them a second chance because everybody makes mistakes. The second time I called my dog was in need to see them right away. She had a seizure. When I called the receptionist was very rude and kept telling me there is no openings at all. And I said even if the dog needs to be seen right away? She said that she had NO appointments for 3 weeks. I said she needed to be sooner. She said we can’t. She did not give recommendations for other Vets and her tone was rude. As far as good, I thought the veterinarian assistants were very nice and they explained all costs that would be involved. The veterinarian was gentle and a nice demeanor.It was also close in proximity.

I had to put my baby down after 14 years of an amazing life. They were very compassionate and gentle with Hurley. They showed sympathy and love her as well for us during a very difficult time. I would not have wanted anyone else to be there for my baby as she transitioned into her afterlife. They sent us a sympathy card in the mail as well. I will not choose any other clinic for as long as I’m in the area. Thank you all for being so kind and gentle with Hurley.

My older Corgi is having dental issues. Dr. Elton was great at explaining how we could handle the problem, both the pros and cons then provided a written estimate & no pressure to make a decision right away. Great service!!!!!

Our dog tends to be nervous with new people and we had just moved a long way across country so she was already having a lot of adjustments and when we took her to her appointment at Advanced Veterinary Care, we were worried she might have issues, but the staff listened to everything we had to say about our dog and they couldnt have been more kind and patient with her, even sitting on the floor with her to let her get comfortable with them. She had to have quite a bit of medication, and tests, but the staff were so great, when she came out she was happy and relaxed and we were so relieved and happy too! We are fans for life! Thank you Dr Barrett!!

This place is incredible. By far the nicest vet clinic in the surrounding area. Our puppy was abnormally sick, and they got us in almost immediately the same day we called (on a holiday weekend). We have tried various vets, and Dr. Barrett is absolutely the vet for us. We have a very energetic 60lb dog. The staff treat her very well and it is the first place we have been too that makes me feel like they genuinely care about our dog. Dr Barrett is very good at explaining things and giving good advice.

The staff was amazing. They handled our new cat with care and affection, she was a stray I found at a job I went to. They even went so far as to show us personally through their microscope the ear mites that had infested her ears. All in all this place gave us one of the best experiences weve ever had. And theyre not too expensive either.

Nice facility, ever expanding staff and rapidly increasing prices. I brought my dog there when the shop first opened and I was happy with the visit. Each subsequent visit since then, their prices have gone up to the point where my last visit was more than twice as expensive than the first. BTW, watch out for the additional lab tests they seem quick to prescribe.

I have 2 big dogs and I take them to Advanced Veterinary Care for all their medical needs. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. Dr Barrett knows my pups better than I do! She helped get my dogs on a the same schedule for booster shots and heart medication. And you save money when you schedule a second pet at the same time. I would recommend this vet to everyone.

This place is #1 in my book in Minnesota! We called, and weve never even brought our dog here before, and they got us in the same day. They were also super busy due to it being a Saturday, and they kept apologizing for the long wait. When in fact they got us in and out within 2hrs, while we were expecting all day. They had multiple doctors and nurses to help properly diagnosis my precious Dewey. They were sweet, patient, and worked with us on prices to make it an all around amazing first experience, we have now made this our regular vet.

We adopted a rescue dog who, although she had some complex needs, had the most gentle personality. The first time I brought her to the vet to see Dr. Ross, we knew this was our vet. Based on positive reviews we decided to take our new puppy to Advanced Vet Care and could not be happier with our decision! On our first visit Dr Elton came into the room, sat on the floor, and started to interact and build a relationship with his patient (which our puppy loved!) He then focused his attention on us owners and gave us ample opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns, and discuss caring for our puppy. The other staff members were incredibly friendly and helpful. It is very evident that everyone who works there truly loves animals and are so knowledgeable. Cannot recommend them enough!

If I could give a less then negative 5000 stars I would.I took my kitten here to get a regular check up and new food since he has bladder Stone issues. Everything seemed fine, the staff seemed nice they seemed to care about the well being of you pet.Funny thing the word seemed.....boy was I wrong. Behind that fake exterior they harbored some irrational fears and hatred of animals.The nurse there lied and claimed my kitten nipped her.I have a life like most of you, and when I got time to call back and deal with the voicemail they left me, it was too late.I was greeted with police officers at my house and they forced their way into my home.They said I had to show proof my cat did not have rabies so I let the officer in.By this time I had already isolated said kitten away from any other animals Im the house to avoid possible spread.The officer saw how cuddly and not foaming at the mouth my tiny cat was.They left laughing that the vet had even called them.Pathetic to say the least.DO NOT BRING ANY PET YOU LOVE HERE. THEY MAY KILL IT BECAUSE THEY ARE SCARED TO HIRE REAL VET TECHS.If you like police at your house when you get home from work then bring your pets here.

Our 5yr old french bulldog Roxy suffered a toe injury & our old provider only gave me the option to drop her off and theyd take a look at her when they got a chance so I finally cancelled my wellness plan I had with them and finally took my 4 year old daughters advice and took her to the new vet right down the road from our house.I dropped in, Alli told me they were booked until Friday but given the situation they were able to squeeze me in later that morning. Turns out we ended up seeing Dr Elton who was Roxys original vet from our old clinic that we really liked. These guys have amazing reviews because they have a real interest in building relationships with pets and owners.In the end Roxy ended up getting her comprehensive exam taken care of and now I have to humble myself and tell my 4 year old she was right all along...

I was able to get an appointment the same day I called. Six other vets couldnt get me in but this one did right away. Havent gone there yet but I can tell its going to be great. Very kind lady that answered too.

My SO and I had one of the worst days ever, we had to have our cat of 21 years put to sleep. It was a Saturday and we knew that it had to be the day, he was in so much pain. Advanced Veterinary Care fit us in with no trouble at all within the hour. Not only that, but they had us go straight into a side room - no waiting room time at all.Despite not having a proper appointment they gave us all the time we needed with him before and after. We never felt rushed for a single moment, the doctor and the tech were so kind and thoughtful. They made his last moments so peaceful. They even sent us a card a day later and the whole staff signed it.I cannot imagine an easier time for something that was so hard. They really cared about our cat and theyd only known him for an hour at most. Im so excited to take our other cat and our new puppy to them - you should take your pets here too.

I was super happy that the clinic was willing to see my puppy that is 3 months old. Originally, I had an appointment with Banfield, which they called me two hours before the appointment to tell me that theyve canceled my appointment. Sadly, right at the time they called me, my puppy got injured. I called around to other vet clinics but no one was willing to fit me in. This clinic was willing to see my puppys injury and do a wellness check up for my puppy. Super glad I gave them a call. The clinic is really clean and they were super nice. They treated my puppy with care and it felt like they actually cared about my puppy.

I could not be happier with the folks on staff at advanced. Both my dogs Lancelot and Sassy (poodle and chi x) love coming to see Dr Elton and all the vet techs. They cannot get in the door fast enough! These people know my dogs and my dogs most definitely know them. I have stopped in from time to time to ask random questions and they have always taken the time to thoroughly answer them. I have never been to a more personable vet. Thanks so much for all the love and care my pets receive while at advanced.

We had a great experience with Dr. Elton and staff. He was wonderful with our 8 week old German Shorthair Pointer puppy. We plan on signing up for the Preventative Care plan for her and might even switch our cats care over to them as well. The clinic is clean and feels more like a home than a sterile vet building. Dr. Elton got right down on the floor and let our puppy lay on a bed and play around while he took time to educate us on basic puppy training and care.*** Weve been taking Piper to Dr. Elton for over a year now and still love it there as much as we did the first visit. The Complete Care Plans are a great value with small monthly payments that are definitely worth it! Its great that most vaccinations and unlimited exams are included.Dr. Elton and all of his vet techs truly care about your pets and take the time to educate you. They really welcome everyone like family.

My pets are very important to me and I take their care very personally, so when I visited Advanced Vet Care for the first time I was relieved. All the staff is exceptional, welcoming, and knowledgeable. In an emergency situation the team understood my worries and made it possible for my cat to be seen last minute on a Saturday!!! Dr. Elton listened to my concerns and he and the team made it their priority for my sick kitty to be comfortable before they even started the exam. Dr. Barrett also comforted my anxious dog prior to administrating any shots or care and my dog was not stressed by the end of the appointment. I have visited a lot of vets throughout the years and Advanced Vet Care is more than a 5 star facility, they are a piece of comfort and trusted friends for me and my four pets.

I couldnt image bringing my beloved dogs to anyone other than Dr. Elton. I had been seeing Dr. Elton at another clinic that he was at for about 10 years before he open his own practice and I am so happy that I am able to bring my dogs back to him. He treats me and my dogs like we are family and we even share the same last name (no relations). I am so happy that he will be caring for my beloved Storm in her final years of life (she is 12 now) because I know he loves her as much as I do. I would recommend Dr. Elton and Advanced Veterinary Care to anyone who is looking for a Vet who truely cares about you and your pet because he is the best in town.

I had to put my sweet Lyza down after a long battle with a tumor and they were so wonderful. They squeezed us in, met me at my car to bring her in. Gave me and her all the time we needed to say goodbye. They gave her ice cream as a treat for letting them put the IV in and were so comforting after everything was over. They even sent me a card a few days later. When going through something so painful they made me and her feel so good! I would highly recommend them!

AVC has been great with both our dog (a 2-year-old, 85-pound rambunctious Boxer mix) and our 1-year-old cat. They were also fantastic with our previous cat who had some serious health issues. I really appreciate that the staff always call the next day to check in, no matter how major or minor the reason for our visit was. We never have to wait long upon checking in, and have never had a single reason to complain, even after a dozen or so visits.

Dr. Elton is amazing and truly cares about your pets. We were so excited to see that he opened his own practice and switched right away. I completely trust that he has our dog Macies best interests at heart. Office is very clean and makes you feel at home.

I brought my chihuahua here as he needed a dental cleaning, exam, and vaccines. Hes absolutely terrified of any new people or places, but the team here took extra care to ensure everything went as quickly and smoothly as possible; letting me do anything I could so we didnt stress him out as much, even scheduling us the night before for the pre-op testing and scheduling us late to come in for the procedure so everything was based around his comfort. It could not have gone better! I highly recommend Dr. Elton and the whole team here. They truly cared about him and it showed tremendously. It was a fantastic experience and hes doing great!

I am increasingly convinced this is a billing factory. I had a follow up appointment to collect urine sample for my dogs bladder infection. That means --> bring the dog in needing to pee. When we got there they were not ready to see her and collect the sample - she wanted to prep the exam room, weigh the dog, etc. Well - the dog peed. No sample.Then called to get another sample, explaining that my dog had a couple of accidents in the house, and I was concerned there was another infection. It was explained to me that I had to wait until the Dr. could examine the dog. Hmmm. Seems to me a urine sample either showing infection (a Rx or a shot) or no infection - no more action required - OR a follow up exam would be appropriate. But no. We need a sample and an exam - together. Im no expert, but it seems to me this is seen as an opportunity to generate revenue. Im sure I will be told I am no expert and I am being unfair.

We take our Samoyed here for grooming. We are always so happy with how handsome he looks after his appointment! We can tell he feels so much better when done. We also love the team at AVC. Dr. Elton, Corinne and team are so great to us and our pets! We would recommend them to everyone!

Dr. Elton and his team have always done such a great job with my Dachshund. She has had the regular appts with shots and nails trimmed all the way up to dental cleaning and most recently, a urinary tract infection. That day we had no appt, but they took her in and got us back on the healthy track. I highly recommend Advanced Vet...you wont be disappointed!!

Dr. Ross Elton is one of the best people Ive ever met and I will never go to a different vet. You can tell within minutes of meeting him that he truly cares about animals. When our new Papillion puppy got ill Ross and his incredible team did everything they could and were so supportive during the whole ordeal. Rockett just turned one and he loves going to the vet because of all of the attention he gets :) wonderful place!

Moved to Blaine not too long ago, and was searching for a place for my Shiba Inu! I could NOT have found a better place for Tucker! :) They call to confirm appointments, they are ALWAYS smiling and helpful, and ALWAYS call a day after an appointment to make sure everything is ok, no matter what the appointment was for! They are NEVER late to get you into your appointment and they care about every issue you may be having! Thankfully my little guy doesnt need too much vet attention, but they ask about issues and interact SO WELL with him! He was scared at the first visit, but now when we get close he gets so hyper in the car and can not wait to say hi to everyone there! They offer plans as well, and I love knowing that he is covered for most things that come up! :) I couldnt be any more happy with the service and team that works there! That was loooooong before he opened his own practice.He & the staff @ AVC are educated, qualified, warm & welcoming. Simply put: They care about the animals.AVC is not conveniently located to where I live.Are there other vet clinics closer. Yes, definitely!Is Dr Elton a good veterinarian? No, hes a great veterinarian!Is it worth the 1/2 hour + drive for us to got to AVC? You betcha!The critters & I are fortunate Dr. Elton has his own practice. We are pleased with the care we receive @ AVC. You will be too.
