Hoover Mail Center always gives great service. We enjoy seeing Tom and Leonidas. Very knowledgeable and quick to perform great service. Great, down-to-earth, locally owned and operated business. So glad to walk in and deal with the owner each and every time. Honesty, integrity and quality is what you will receive when doing business here.

I have consistently used this business for the 11 years I have lived in Hoover. Never have to wait in line to be serviced. The owner is kind, courteous, personable and always very helpful. I can’t recommend this mail center enough - I’d give it 10 stars if that was an option!

As we all know there are 2 sides to every story. I have been a customer of Hoover Mail Center since Tom opened. He might be direct at times but “ always” gives great customer service! If he chooses to not wear a mask then that is his right as a store owner.If this person has been coming to his store for 20 years then she knows he has not been wearing a mask over the last few months. If she is wearing a mask then she is protected!Writing a bad review over one incident is not fair. Where are the good reviews over the last 20 years from her. I have known and used Tom White at Hoover Mail Center pretty much since he opened over 20 years ago. I judge performance over anything. I find Tom to be one of the most consistent and hard working business owners in Hoover. I have yet to see him not offer to lend a hand even if it wasnt business related. I see the recent posts about masks and do not understand individuals that find it ok to sit in a restaurant with no mask but refuse to stand almost 6 feet away from someone shipping their packages. This is not science, its propaganda. I am a Covid survivor as well as most of my family and find no real value with masks. I know that science confirms that a tiny piece of cloth does not protect you from the particular size of a virus versus bacteria that the masks were designed for. Beyond that, please judge Hoover Mail Center by its performance and reputation. Not because your political affiliate has encouraged you to bully others that dont agree with you.

Owner refuses to wear mask! Told me its his store, and he will do what he wants to which includes not wearing a mask! He said i could leave if i didnt like it which i did. We have been using this store since we moved here about 20 years ago. We have family in Virginia and Texas. Mr. White always gets our packages to them on time.0ur grandkids live in a rural town in Elgin, texas.. way out in the country, but they are so excited to get their huge packages from alabama! We are thankful for hoover mail center and mr. Tom Whites attention to detail. One package got sent to wrong address, he personally called us and corrected the mix up and paid to have packages delivered to right grandkid, still got there before Christmas. We depend on him every year, he does a great service, and has always been polite & cheerful while providing this service. Thank you!

Go to the Hoover Mail Center! I pulled into the Sunoco gas station next store with a flat tire. These nice men jumped to action, came out and helped out of the kindness of their hearts! Immediately fixed my tire and went above and beyond to help someone in need. I know that their business is the place to go because they care about helping others!

My husband backpacked the Appalachian Trail last year & this year. Tom at Hoover Mail Center was a tremendous help in getting resupply packages to him even in the most remote of places. I could not have been the successful support to my husband without his knowledgeable help. I don’t know anyone who does their business with more conscientiousness than he does.

I usually dont do reviews but like the one below, I felt the need after reading the bad one. The guy running it isnt the picture of hospitality, but this isnt a 5 star restaurant. He does what he does incredibly well and very professionaly. Wont go anywhere else.

I dont understand the review above, Im tired of people assuming that a bad experience is because of race. Is that not in its self racist?My experience here wasnt life changing, I didnt get a hug, I needed a service they provided, and I left, I normally wouldnt send a good review when people just do there job, but while getting the address for a friend I saw the bad review and thought it was unwarranted.

I think this mans name is Tom. He is always very sullen and rude when I go in there. Today I asked him to send a fax for me, when I questioned him about how he was doing it, he snapped at me. I asked him why he wanted to be so rude, and he went berserk. He yanked the document out of the fax machine, and threw it at me. Get the f*** out of here, he yelled. Then he came around the counter toward me cursing loudly, and shaking his finger in my face. Ive been in this business 18 f***ing years he yelled at me. He backed me toward the door, sticking his finger in my face. Sir, I am a customer I said. Youre not a f***ing customer any more!! he yelled. He backed me all the way out the door and followed me to my car, still yelling and cursing. I said God bless you, and I left. He was right about one thing. I am certainly not a customer anymore!!!

TODAY FEB14,2014 ON VALENTINES day i visit this HOOVER MAIL CENTRE first time since i am in BIRMINGHAM, i cannot explain it in words how bad is my experience, i will not visit this mail centre again in my life, First of all the man who may be in his 50s, he is the manager or the owner i do not know, he is like he wants to kill his customers, or atleast INDIAN OR MEXICAN CUSTOMERS, there was a big dog inside the mail centre and look like the guy wants to use his dog on his INDIAN OR MEXICAN CUSTOMERS OR ANY OTEHR CUSTOMERS BESIDE WHITE???? so much hostile environment i never expected to have in heart of hoover where there is a large INDIAN COMMUNITY LIVES, I was polite and soft and he was traeting me like i am a kid, he DOES NOT SEE MY OTHER PART WHICH IS TOUGHER THAN HIM, HIS COMMUNICATION WAS ROUGH AND VERY RUDE (ATLEAST FOR INDIAN CUSTOMERS), I asked him politely how much it will cost to deliver a bunch of roses in NEW JERSEY and he was like HE DOES NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH ME, ALSO LOOK LIKE RACIST ONE OLD AGE WOMEN AND OLD AGE MEN WERE LOOKING LIKE CRAZY AT ME, THEY REALLY NEED TO GROW UP BECAUSE THIS IS 21ST CENTURY AND THEY R IN HOOVER, I WILL CALL THAT MAN AGAIN WHO IS RUNNING A POSTAL BUSINESS AND TREATING HIS INDIAN CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS, OR HE SHOULD PUT A SIGN IN HIS DOORS FOR WHITES ONLY .SAQIBHomewood Alabama
