I love this Goodyear! Adam is an amazing manager! He is the reason I keep coming back. Several times I have had to bring my vehicle in for new tires, and patch jobs etc. He is always willing to make sure he can fit you in. He treats everyone with respect, and is courteous. I live near McCalla. Its worth the drive to come and receive quality work, and great customer service. Joe the technician does a wonderful job as well. You cant find places like this anymore. I highly recommend this location to anyone, & everyone!

I had to get a few things done to my Equinox recently. They did a fantastic job and the price was extremely reasonable.

Great service! They did not charge for the computer diagnosis, gave the code and referred me to Toyota Prius dealership. The squeelership would charge $140 if I did not use their auto repair technician.

These types of automotive places are all pricey, but this one has a great manager and theyve always treated me fairly. So far everything theyve fixed was actually fixed, which is miraculous compared to other automotive experiences Ive had. They have a busy shop with plenty of customers. Ive had brakes done, general maintenance, tire purchases and engine work over the past 5 years at this location.

I have always had a good experience with this location and team. They are friendly and have never overcharged me for anything. I know a good bit about cars and what I dont know, they explain very well. They never force any thing on me and always call and ask if something needs attention. I take my car here for oil changes and will not be buying tires anywhere else either. Trust these guys! They are always busy but if you call and check on your car after leaving it, it can save you the trip back if you havent received a call yet.

I purchase a battery at this location for 225.00 . I went to advanced auto parts to pickup the battery myself.i was surprised to find out it only cost 130.00 . The salesman double charge me for a silver instead of a gold brand. After I pay this off I will never set foot in a good year store again. Ive been a good year customer all my life , but no more. It was the store located on Birmingham southside.

I have been a customer here for over 25 years and they have always been the best. Hope to keep going another 25 as they always treat me right.

This business has gone downhill so fast over the last 6 months. The so called Managers are either playing on their phones, tablets or just flat out sleeping. Its like a bad infomercial. Everyone is doing absolutely nothing but they are so busy they cant get to you. The old man that works there is always staring at the young women going into the Pilates place across the street. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Especially not women, wifes, or teenage daughters.

Got a toe-n-go alignment. Camber and caster were EXACTLY the same after the “alignment” and still out of spec. Will be going back to see if they will correct this, otherwise, complete scam. Would not trust them doing anything on my vehicle

I was in Birmingham for the day and caught a flat on 65 south, I went one auto shop they told me it would be 2 hrs before they could get to it, I called Goodyear and Danny told me to come over and it would only take 40 mins, Jason was super friendly and didn’t make me feel as though I was getting taken advantage of being that I was a woman by myself. I walked the 5 mins to my appointment and when I had returned it was all ready to go, I highly recommend them.

I have tried to stay loyal however I had no other option but to take my business else where. I arrived before 8:30 on 3 different occasions and they were always “to busy” to “understaffed” or “sorry we couldn’t get to it today”.I live in jasper and work in Gardendale AND STILL continued to drive back to Birmingham because I believe in loyalty. After I took my car the 3rd time and told them how ridiculous it was that I had to drive there that many times to PAY THEM TO DO THEIR JOB they FINALLY somehow managed to get my car to the back and taken car of. May I remind you, I even explained to them I was not on a schedule and could leave it there all day.I also purchased all four of my tires from there, even though they are not the most economic I thought that they prided their selves with the services that they provided. And I am a firm believer in that, I will pay an additional amount of money to have exceptional services.Moral of the story, I will not be back nor do I recommend them to anyone.

Dishonest merchandise. I did a synthetic oil change and tire rotation. I marked my tires. They didnt rotate them.

This place is exactly what I needed when I got here 4 years ago. Theyve had the same people working here since Ive started visiting and they are always as prompt and professional as they can be. There was even one time that I was without a ride back to my place and was also not feeling very well so one of the workers, Ben I believe, drove me home for free. They dont charge for routine checks and they seem to always be doing great work. I cannot recommend this business more and I cannot give enough gratitude towards the people of this business for helping me get around efficiently and safely for as long as they have.

After getting a new wheel/tire mounted elsewhere, I took it to Goodyear to get it looked into after the car felt wobbly. They called me within a few hours and said that it was an alignment issue and that did seem to help slightly. While I can only speak for easier repairs, they were very quick and friendly, had good hours and very reasonable for being downtown.

I have never been here before until earlier this week. I feel like I was discriminated against because of my ethnicity. I was ignored, for at least 10 minutes while repeatedly asking if someone could help me. Nobody ever did. Personally I cannot wait until the day U.A.B. destroys this worthless business and builds something useful like a parking deck.

Dropped my vehicle off for new tires at 11am and said Id be back to pick it up at 3. Arrived at 3:20 and they hadnt even started the car. Was informed it would be ready shortly but had to wait over an hour.

I work in downtown Birmingham Alabama and I just recently purchased a set of Goodyear tires and a alignment from a dealership near where I live. I had a flat on my way to work and stopped at this downtown location. I was told by the boy at the counter that they would fix my flat for free. Several hours later I received a phone call that my tire was unrepairable and I also needed an alignment based upon the way my tires are wearing. I asked them if they could just put my spare on because I was uncertain how I could have alignment wear just after driven on my tires for less than 200 miles. I also asked if they could show the print out of where my alignment was out. When I arrived to pick up my car it was still in the same place I left it and they could not provide a alignment print out. I had my car towed over 50 miles back to the dealership where they proved everything was okay with my alignment and also fixed my tire for free. The people that work at this location are clearly liars and crooks and I would never reccomend anybody to go here.

I have been getting both of my vehicles serviced here for a few years now. This is a honest and professional staff they have. I would highly recommend!

I am so thankful for Goodyear! I went in for a courtesy 29 point inspection. They found a hole in my tire and repaired it. So glad to be driving more safely. Thanks so much Goodyear!

The worst experience of my life. My advice you should go to a REAL MECHANIC SHOP before these thieves take your hard earned money.

I recently attempted to bring my wifes car here because it started to run rough on her way to work at U.A.B. When I walked in everyone inside the store was either on a phone or tablet; and when I told them what was going on I was quickly gave every excuse in the book as to why they could not get to it. Apparently they were Too Busy and understaffed. I just assumed that the people inside the store knew nothing about cars and where clearly too lazy to do it themselves. Even worse I was told they offer a u.a.b discount except u.a.b.s website mentions nothing about a discount there. However I will be going to one of the many shops in Birmingham that actually offer a discount that there is proof of!

By far the rudest customer service I have ever received. There was a rude guy being extremely rude and disrespectful at the counter, called me all but stupid when I requested an inspection on a new car. Isn’t that his job? Not to question me, but to complete the needed request.

A co-worker took his vehicle in to this Goodyear as it is two blocks from our work. He is very unfamiliar with auto repairs and as a former mechanic I recommended he have his serpentine belt replaced as they were replacing his alternator and the serpentine belt had to be removed to replace the alternator. Danny or Donnie told him that would cost an additional $93 to replace the serpentine belt. My co-worker asked why it would cost so much and the employee stated that was the labor for the belt. I spoke up and stated he would have to remove the belt either way. The employee stated he did not have to remove the belt completely. At this point I said that the labor rate was based on a flat rate time and labor guide and that what he was doing was wrong. He stated that he did not have to remove the belt completely to replace the alternator. This will be the last time my co-worker or anyone in our department at our hospital, that surrounds this Goodyear, will recommend anyone use this Goodyear again. All other repair shops I have ever worked at or dealt with would have replaced that belt.

I purchased 4 new tires and an oil change from this location. They offer free tire rotations for the life of the tire. Here is the bad part- I have been back 2 times to get the tires rotated but the wait time was going to be well over 4 hours if ever. The manager recommended I leave the car, like I have time to leave my vehicle and not have to use my vehicle to get to my job.I will never be back to this location or any Goodyear location because of the lack of service. By the way, they would not take an appointment.

I do regular servicing of my car here and I have bought all 4 tires too. Few days back I went to check my car pressure since my car sensors started beeping and I could obviously feel my car pick up went suddenly low. When I went to get my tires check they said everything looks fine which I couldnt trust because I know my car well. The person incharge laughed at me under impression that I am looking for a free parking. I was really mad at him. Next day, I saw a nail in my tires and when I showed him and explained how he was making a fool of me. He also denied me the tire repair which I got it fixed later from other store. I just lost 2 days of my crucial work because of this one single irresponsible person. Never ever I will go back here.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They wouldnt help me because it was an hour before they closed. I was also an almost 2 hours away from home with my elderly parents. My father was in pain from a procedure he had a UAB.

The car was damaged during the last service tech at the Southland center in Lexington Kentucky. The technician at this center made no effort to correct the problem. They failed to provide their most basic commodity customer service.

When I arrived I told the guy my breaks had been squeaking and feeling like they were going to the floor . After handing him my keys I went and waited at the waiting area . About an hour or so later he informed me that I did not need breaks ,but I would need tires . Fast forward some weeks later my breaks are literally grinding. So I take my truck to firestone . The mechanics inform me that no only do I need brakes ,but calipers and wheel bearings. Now my truck is dangerous to drive due to good years not diagnose my truck correctly. I called and spoke with Darryl the manager,he had an attitude. Then pretty much called me a liar saying his employee did not write anything down for my breaks . I want good year to look into this matter before I have to take legal recourse. The sad part is Ive never had problems with good year until now .

I had very awful service with them, not only was the service awful I took my 2005 white ford explorer to them twice to get an oil change and on top of that the 2nd oil change my oil lighr still came on they kept telling me to give it time to go off, but it never did and to weeks later my oil pump stop working which caused my motor to blow, which then I got it towed there which they basically told me they could not do anything about it so I was out of money and a car... I had to junk the truck because they kept telling me its nothing they could have done... I would not advise anyone to go to goodyear for any kind of service Homewood, Alabama is now closed down, but its other locations also that I would not suggest anyone to go too... I paid $6000 cash for my truck and it was not anything wrong with it at all until I took it to them and when I junked my car I only got $215 from it...

I took my old 91 BMW 318is in here when it started making a strange scraping sound. It turned out to be the carrier/driveshaft bearing, which these guys replaced. After its replacement I had strong vibrations coming from under the car, especially between 20 & 40 mph. I was sure that I was going to have to replace the driveshaft or something equally expensive. I gave the car back to these guys, they flipped & loosened up the driveshaft which had become stuck at a problematic angle. They also aligned my tires during the troubleshooting process...something they didnt charge me for. While the issue did arise after the initial repair, these guys didnt nickel & dime me even though my car caused them a lot of additional time. They took on the extra work & fixed the issue without trying to put an extra financial burden on me. Solid shop, good guys.
