I have mostly good things to say about Tapestry after having stayed here for almost 2 years now. Its safe, the staff is prompt and accommodating, and I have had no issues with loud neighbors. My only real complaint is the lack of signs with building numbers. I dread having things delivered because I know the drivers will be lost when they try to find my apartment, assuming they even make it through the gates. So thats why I am giving 3 stars. If you are considering moving here and you get a lot of stuff delivered, please take this into consideration, or better yet, swing by and see for yourself how confusing this place is.

GATES STILL DO NOT WORK - this comment continues to hold true for the past 7 years by the looks of other reviews mentioning this. car break ins are so common here... UNSAFE and nothing to do when reported to leasing office. pools are way too crowded by people who do not live here. and they charged a random $50 annual COMMUNITY fee?? also another $30 mandatory valet TRASH charge that never comes on time or skips days they are supposed to come. this place is not that convenient to downtown, its down a single road passing by nothing for 5 miles until you get downtown. maintenance men are nice but wow it takes DAYS to get something done. lease prices DO RAISE BY $100 a month every year!!! they said the gym was being updated... maybe one new equipment.. very small gym with limited equipment. the back building always has large random fluid stains from people dropping things and having roaches inside the hallways - NEEDS POWERWASH. the community is so DARK with limited lighting at night and full parking lots- scary walk from car to my door. the dog park is a joke.. the door to that even isnt working and so tiny. im tired of being invited to talk to the leasing office with no actions!! cannot wait to finish this overpriced lease. Please respond in public what will be done to improve and WHEN for us to all read and hold accountability.

A place that truly feels like home. The Tapestry park team is excellent. Alicia and Lisa at the leasing office are kind and take good care of the community. Property managers are always taking care of necessary issues if any. Billy and David from maintenance are great!!! The maintenance team at tapestry truly deserves recognition for their expertise and attitude. Continue the great job guys!!!

I’m a new resident and once my lease is done I will not be resigning with this complex again. They were not up front about all of their charges, the gates are never closed. It’s a beautiful complex to say the lease but I’d prefer when businesses are upfront and thorough. I was lied to during my tour about how water/sewage was monitored. I was also not informed about trash fees only valet trash fees.And in response to Tapestry who left the message underneath my review... I’ve already contacted your office and the person that I spoke with (I won’t disclose her name because it’s not her fault ) basically said there’s nothing that can be done because the person who gave me this info doesn’t work there anymore but I have a paper with all the information this person gave me and it mention nothing about the $20 fee for trash only the $30 fee for valet. And it does not specify about the sewage only water.

Tapestry Park is one of my favorite places I have ever lived. It is so convenient to Downtown Birmingham and UAB and to all the shopping and restaurants you could want. The staff is amazing and is always so nice and accommodating! The apartments are really updated and if anything ever did stop working the maintenance team is quick and super sweet. I would still be living there but I relocated for my job. 10/10!

My daughter has been living here for about 6 months and has loved it! Recently her purse was stolen and her apartment keys were in her purse so she couldnt get in. The office staff and the maintenance guy went over the top to make sure she got in and was safe. David from maintenance was so extremely nice and helpful! He was overly helpful and made her feel so much better!

I absolutely loved living here. The community is so sweet & the staff is the best. Always so responsive & genuinely cares about your experience at Tapestry. 10 stars if I could. I only moved out because I moved away from Birmingham.

Appears to be a well kept place...

Lived here for 2 years. this is NOT a gated community, has closed gates maybe for 2 days because it takes months to fix it? unsafe area, multiple cars broken into (I should have read the reviews before). no sense of security at all my entire lease. pool is rarely cleaned, has been green for the past week...its the middle of July we would want to use it. way too overpriced for not even getting all the amenities. be careful here. Ive reached out to the office multiple times. nothing offered for our troubles.

Tapestry Park has been an amazing experience in my time living there!The leasing office was always responsive, prompt, and caring towards all my needs. Lisa and Alicia were always helpful and a pleasure to deal with. This is a great community to live in and I would highly recommend it to anyone moving to the Birmingham area.

Never have I been so frustrated !! I cant even get a response from this apartment complex either in email or by leaving a voicemail because no one answers the phone. The turnover in personnel and multiple stories of what is acceptable is misleading and deceptive. If I could give them a negative response I would. I will never consider this apartment complex again!!!!!!

They are really nice apartments, all the staff are respectful 24/7 and always nice, and, if anything goes wrong they are fast about how to find a solution to whatever the problem was.

Every unit has different prices, and each year they’d raise our unit up by at least $100 a month, even after we switched units to avoid the raise. While they look like pretty luxury apartments, everything is very cheaply made. We had 2 doorknobs completely fall off in both units. In the second unit we lived in, the doorknob to the bedroom was already hanging off completely. Maintenance isn’t great. While they’re nice, they don’t actually fix anything until they have to. We had the heat and AC break at least 12 times before they finally replaced a part to actually fix it. Often in 90-100 degree weather when we were trying to work from home.The management had maintenance keep up the grounds to an annoying and unnecessary degree. Ive been power washed when stepping out of my front porch. The halls reek of gasoline once a week so bad it comes in the apartment bc they leaf blow constantly. They are obsessed with keeping up appearances but don’t actually fix the important things.The gates worked ONE day in the 2 years I lived there, no joke. We chose that place because it was a gated community. It is not a gated community, and it is not safe. There were constant break-ins in cars and apartments. One car was set fire and literally reduced to ash. The management would do nothing. No security, no cameras, no gates. They would however send an email every once in a while explaining that they aren’t liable for breaks ins and they keep up “certain security measures.” And that any breaks ins are our responsibility? Also there are no security measures, as I stated. They also are terrible at managing packages and deliveries.They charge you $25 a month for valet trash, but they only take one bag and often skip MANY days, and the dumpster is usually full. So we’ll get an email saying “don’t leave your trash outside the door, the dumpster is full and valet isn’t coming.” so we’re expected to keep bags of trash inside for days? No one would, of course.They don’t let dogs off leash and yet put tons of large obstacle course things in the one, TINY area for dogs. So now dogs can’t even run around in there. No one’s dogs would do obstacles of course, so no one goes to the “park” (tiny fenced in area) anymore. There’s no nearby roads good to walk dogs.Neighbors are mostly med students living of their parents money. Seriously. Everyone drives very VERY fast through the property, even though there’s always someone walking their dog. People tail you like crazy, everyone’s just pretty rude. I’ve also seen a couple of med students just swing their car door open and hit the car next to them without caring. It’s a pretty stuck up community.Oh, and there’s hardly ever available parking. The lot is almost always full when you come home at night. Very hard to find parking.The management is not helpful at all. While they are friendly, it’s absolutely a front. If you ask for help, they suddenly become cold and unreasonable. Very two-faced. They just don’t care and are actually pretty rude if you ask for ANY help.Definitely the worst management Ive ever dealt with. And this was supposedly the fanciest place Ive lived. Not worth it. Not safe, just exhausting.

My wife and I have lived at Tapestry Park for almost two years now and have had a great experience. We have lived in two different units during our time here and have loved both of them. The staff at Tapestry is incredibly helpful and have addressed any maintenance issues quickly and graciously. I have recommended Tapestry Park to several friends and will continue to do so!

Loved living here at Tapestry Park! It was very painful saying goodbye. The office staff and maintenance team were absolutely amazing which made me enjoy my living experience here even more! Forever in my heart!

My wife and I moved to Tapestry 4 weeks ago and are loving it! The leasing staff has done a great job helping us get settled into our apartment. They were a huge help answering all of our questions regarding available apartments before we signed our lease. Highly recommend!

I recently renewed my lease for the third time. I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with the leasing manager, Lisa, and her staff. The maintenance department is always willing to go the extra mile to accommodate me. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained and I most definitely enjoy the salt water pools and the gym.

We have lived here for almost three years and the gates have only ever been closed for about 3 days. Apartments have been broken into as well as multiple cars broken into, but have seen no progress on the gates. Pools are great and well maintained; however, these gates have also been broken for multiple summers leading to the pools becoming very overcrowded with people who do not live in the complex. Great location and large apartment with responsive maintenance staff, but you could probably find something better for the price given all of the property issues

Currently live here and my roommates visiting friend had her car broken into and my bf had his car broken into and stuff stolen. So much for a gated community. Def can’t wait to move out of this overly priced, no security guard, rude neighbors, apartment complex!

Ive lived here 4 years.Pros:1)Excellent location if you work at UABCons :1) Overpriced2) Break insIn an attempt to fix Con #2 the gates have been fixed. As outlined in the attached diagram. My advice, if you do move into these apartments do not move into the apartments in the back. Unless you enjoy driving lengthening your commute by 5 minutes driving in a circle.

My best friend has lived in an upper level apartment here for about 5 years or more. Really nice gated community. The apartment has a great balcony overlooking some woods and two awesome spa type bathtubs. Nice sized kitchen and the bedrooms and closets are big. Also has a great outdoor pool area in walking distance. However sometimes finding a parking spot at the apartments is a problem and the three flights of stairs are less than convient when you have anything to carry especially if you had to park far away. But other than that no complaints its beautiful every time I visit her.

After living here at Tapestry for almost 4 years I would absolutely recommend living here. The staff are always professional, friendly and on the ball. Maintenance request are taken care of within 24-48 hours almost every time weve needed something fixed or looked at. Theyre very good about following up on issues and letting you know the status of whats going on. The office staff are always empathetic to your situation and generally will immediately act on your issue. All maintenance staff are polite, professional and honest. The complex is full of greenery and always kept up by either the maintenance staff or the landscaping crew. Weve also been very lucky with having respectful and polite neighbors.

Great place to live! The rooms are spacious and well designed. The staff is great and very helpful with anything you need. Location is awesome too.

My sister lives here and got her package stolen from the front door along with many other people’s packages, while the management watched the man steal them/was aware of what the man was doing. Also, they do not keep the gates closed like they should to prevent this. Poor management

I have lived at The Tapestry for almost three years. My first comment would be...there is no place perfect...but...The Tapestry is as close to perfect as you will get. And, I have had an opportunity to review all the comments; and, I totally disagree with negative reflections regarding The Tapestry. As I said, nothing and nowhere is perfect but I can say to all that it is a pleasure to call The Tapestry my home! I commend the entire staff; as well, as a HUGH SHOUT OUT, for the maintenance team. They do an outstanding job to exceed every expectation to keep things working for all of us...they are always on! They make a commitment to fix something; they keep me updated and follow through to make sure all is done to meet my satisfaction. The Tapestry is a very welcoming community and I look forward to each day as I call this my home! I hope you can too!

Always loud neighbors above. Paper thin walls and ceiling offer no rest for the weary. I would aside from issues independently mine, not a bad place, I wouldnt rely on the trash pickup or going to bed before the zoo above.

I submitted an application 2 weeks ago and have yet to hear back. The first money order was lost and even though I sent a photo of the receipt, it still hasnt been found. I then mailed another money order. Guess what? Wasnt found!!! It was delivered by certified mail and shows delivered. Im now out of $100 and still no word. I havent received a reply to emails or a call back. Ive sent Lydia and Jessica over 6 emails. Not one word.Im sure management is unaware of these issues and I still want to live at Tapestry Park, but I think the office staff definitely needs approving.

Literally the worst management. takes a week for a simple work order to be noticed and still not complete. called front office and rude staff just hangs up after saying theyll look into it. its been another week and no progress. ALSO rates for the same floor plan WILL change and even be $300 cheaper every MONTH for another identical unit. huge scam. apartments are huge though but definitely not as advertised. elevators are not even in the apartment buildings for example. unless you sign for the cheapest rates, this place is not worth the hassle.

The site is amazing, the area is also. The hospital is across the street, which I love. I just recently contacted them today about leasing information via internet (inquiry) and I am currently waiting on a response. I cant wait to hear from them...

I recently went on a tour at Tapestry Park since I have been thinking of moving locations in Birmingham. I was blown away by all the 5 star amenities and the central location of the apartment complex...not to mention the absolutely apartments are STUNNING. Would highly recommend

Id give zero stars if I could. This place was absolutely horrible. Dont believe the advertised prices and dont believe that this is a gated community. I lived there for 13 months and the gates worked for a grand total of 2 weeks. The gym is not maintained and they only clean common areas once a year. They also horde packages in the front off where you can only pick them up during their tiny windows of working hours. These are only the most frustrating items, there are tons more reasons to look elsewhere.

Good luck getting an appointment at this place EVEN IF you’ve booked an appointment. We setup an appointment and were never seen. In fact, people cane in after us and were seen before we were. Not impressed.

I was SO sad to leave these apartments! They were the nicest place I’ve ever lived and I would move back in a heartbeat if I ever relocate back to Birmingham. The office and maintenance staff is PHENOMENAL! If there are any issues they try their best to have them addressed and fixed as soon as possible. The location is amazing as well! You are just close enough to downtown to enjoy the perks of being 10 minutes from anything you could want, BUT you don’t pay a downtown price! It’s the best! An Uber ride is only about $8-$10 to downtown, Avondale, Lakeview, etc. It’s wonderful! You won’t regret living here!

DONT LIVE HERE! There are so many problems with this complex. Maintenance takes weeks to respond to requests, they charge you for trash pickup, but they never pick up trash, there are extreme mold and bug problems, and there is literally dog poop everywhere. Dont expect your packages to ever get to you. Ive had 3 packages stolen in the past 2 months. Front office wont do anything about it. This is the WORST apartment complex ive ever lived in. STAY AWAY!

UPDATE: lived here for so long and cant remember when the gates actually work... so much for safety. building next to us literally got broken in and had tv stolen. hallways are gross from spilled trash stains = bugs... needs a pressure washing asap. beware of loud dogs living near you as well. gym could use more equipment its tiny. at least the apartments are a little more on the modern sideUPDATE - it is now november.... therefore way past summer, management still has not taken care of the problem with washing breezeways. gates are not closed, not our problem if they cannot handle outside issues, just would like the slightest bit of consistent safety for once

I am a new resident to Tapestry Park, and I love it here! The staff they have on hand at the office have been really easy to work with, and friendly. The maintenance staff will get the job done in a reasonable about of time and make sure that you are completely satisfied.The apartments themselves are great, I love the location being minutes away from downtown Birmingham. It is also quite peaceful, I feel like I’m the one making all the noise when I am at home watching Netflix and my TV’s volume is on 10…Overall, I would say that choosing to live at Tapestry Park has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in 2017 thus far.

I absolutely love living here! Tareka is by far the best leasing consultant I have ever met and is always so professional. And the property manager Lisa? Hands down the sweetest thing! They are always so helpful and kind. I was a little nervous to tour such a nice place when we came to look at the apartment, but everyones just so nice! The mailman, the maintanence guys, even the neighbors! I really love living here. I encourage anyone whos looking for a great place to live, with an awesome property, and super friendly staff, THIS IS THE PLACE!

When will the breezeways be washed? SO many stains going up to my apartment and not fun seeing it right in front my door every time from previous owners (about a year ago). Will the gates ever be closed for more than a couple days out the year? Will the light fixtures be actually working when driving in at night? Slow management.

If I could give Tapestry no stars I would. We had a mold issue that maintenance would not fully address, as well as pretending it wasnt mold. When we first stated this problem, Tapestry refused to acknowledge it, and before we left apparently half of the buildings had some form of this problem. Additionally, the lease terms are unreasonable. Rent increased at least $100 every year with no improvements in quality, and the termination fee clause makes it impossible to get out of your lease with out breaking the bank.

Yep read the reviews before signing a lease here. full of false promises and blaming corporation. ive already talked to management multiple times throughout my year of being here, dont have the time or patience for it again.

Overpriced for what you get. the experience with them has been exactly how the other reviewers said, especially in regards to service. issues brought up to management just get delayed for months because their hands are tied? wish they cared more for their residents.

I moved in about a year ago. Best apartments I have ever lived in. Maintenance guys are friendly and knowledgeable. The office staff is always super polite. Lots of pretty people live here. Lol. The best is our leasing agent Tareka. I vote her to be the Employee of the Year!!!! Also Ms. Lisa the property manager has helped me get some things fixed that I could not fix myself(i.e. my crazy water bill).Thanks so much Tareka and Lisa. If youre looking for an apartment complex that operates like you expect one to operate, this is the is the one.Of all the apartments Ive lived in across Ga and Al this is by far the best. Weve had an ac problem once but it was fixed immediately. They even replace light bulbs when they go out - within the hour most times. The maintenance staff is always available and always doing great work post haste. Many apts that say they do things like this but never actually do them or at least not in a resonable amount of time.Tareka was our leasing consultant and has been awesome from day one. She has been helpful with all questions or concerns and has always conducted herself very professionally, yet warmly.We recently had a problem with our water bill where we were being incorrectly charged for 4k gallons in a single day. Lisa the property manager stepped in and got the previously unhelpful company to correct the error. This is after we were told that they could not be wrong multiple times and ways.The entire staff here has been overwelmingly great. Some very good descisions were made in the hiring of these folks. They do an exceptional job in the managment of this property.Now, hit the call button, ask for Tareka and set an appointment today.Thanks- from one happy tenant.

We lived here for 2.5 years… Upon leaving, we were charged for carpet cleaning, wall painting, apartment cleaning, and light bulbs… LIGHT BULBS. These things should all be routine. There wasn’t anything wrong with the carpet when we left. Absolutely no stains. We cleaned the apartment after we moved out as well. But no, they wanted to charge us $850 for all of these things that should be considered a cost of doing business, especially after we overpay for rent.
