This place is great for the average person; however if you are looking to take care of a medical need due to a stroke, forget it! I called and explained that I had a stroke and need assistance with heavy calluses that I am unable to take care of myself. They dont use callus scrapers, so heavy calluses would require 15 to 20 treatments in order to rectify. Had I not explained this in the beginning I could understand, but I am a guy needing a medical grade pedicure that they are not able to perform. You live and learn.

This review is for their spa and nail services. Facials, massages, pedicures and manicures. They do a wonderful job! Very professional and will listen to your requests so dont be afraid to ask. The spa area is built to be relaxing and calm. Definitely recommend arriving early and taking advantage of the steam room. Its in the spa area if you are unsure where it is just ask your spa attendant and theyll show you exactly where it is.

I got my hair butchered at a different salon downtown after scheduling an impulsive haircut in a moment of weakness, like shaggy gross uneven mullet when I asked for a trim and some texture. I called sanctuary like I should have in the first place and asked for a last minute appointment, and thank the stars I ended up with Cordel the next afternoon. Cordel listened to me, and made sure we both agreed on what I wanted and gave me the most beautiful bob, laughing and joking the whole time. There’s no trace left of the bad haircut and I feel like myself again! I can’t thank you enough. Best salon in town! I shall never stray again.

My hair hadnt been touched by a professional since March. In addition to all the COVID, Id moved from one part of town to another in Texas so I was without a regular stylist. Since Im spending two weeks in Billings for the holidays, I decided to FINALLY get my hair colored and cut. Man, I am SO HAPPY with the results! Kris was able to blend my ridiculous roots, lightening my entire look in a really natural way that will look good as it grows out. Also, I thought I needed at least 3 cut off (from not getting even a trim for 9 months) and only ended up losing an inch. The products used smells great and they even gave me a sample of a product to try out at home. All of this for $200 LESS than my former stylist charged. If plane tickets to Billings werent so expensive, Id plan 3-4 trips a year just to get my hair done.

I went to this spa with my two sisters over Thanksgiving as a treat to all of us and we each had very different experiences. I had an amazing time and I went into a very blissful state while the beautician worked her magic. However, my poor sister, who was very visibly pregnant at the time, had a very talkative (nice girl but chatty) beautician that wanted to talk to my sister the whole time about her newly discovered first pregnancy. It kind of ruined the facial for my sister and I wish she had spoken up but how do you handle those situations? The employee should have known better.

This place is a joke. I was so overly disgusted with the rude service I got I will never go back. I went there for the first time a while back and from the second I walked in I felt out of place.I went in for a haircut and a pedicure. They did not make me feel welcome, in fact when I approached the front desk the girl behind the desk seems quiet annoyed that I was bothering her. She was very short and would not smile once. Then I went back for my pedicure and was not pleased with how rude my nail tech was. She didnt seem to want to be there. I made more conversation with the tech Ashley next to her and the client she had than my own tech. My haircut was sub par but I was not overly pleased with it even though my stylist was nice enough. All together my experience there was not thrilling. I read the other reviews and see they are from clients who have gone for a long time, and I wonder how people got past the rude people who work there to want to come back?! This girl will not be a returning customer nor will I refer my friends.

Went for my first massage ever. Scheduling was easy - staff was more than friendly - Sam the masseuse was friggin fantastic and I cant say anything bad at all about my experience. Go early for the steam room and dont go back to work after youre done. A+

Walked in with a comb tangled in my hair and the ladies were very helpful and were able to take it out without having to cut my hair!! Will definitely go there for all my hair care!!

I have been using theSanctuarys spa services for several years now and always excited for my next visit. I am able to go early and enjoy the steamroom, then relax in the spa waiting area...love the dim lighting, soft music and sipping the hot tea in the solitude away from the salon and reception area. Even though the area is small I have never felt as though it was congested. They are great about making sure everyone is comfortable with a drink and neck wrap before and after services. All the gals are great, but I really appreciate the extra attention Karmen gives to finding and working out those knots and kinks. Their gift cards are great I have given them out as gifts for baby showers, bridal showers, etc... and it takes the guess work out of what to buy me.... my hubby gets me a gift card every year for my birthday and loads it up so it is the gift that gives all through the year.

So disappointed with this place, I called to book an appointment and instead of a friendly helpful response I got push back that I first needed to take more time out of my day to come in for a consultation before I could book an appointment. Which I’ve had my hair done their before (a year or two ago) What a joke! Who has that much time? I never knew booking a hair appointment could be difficult. I would suggest they reevaluate their process from a business stand point. It’s a huge turnoff to customers.

Today I decided to give Sanctuary Spa a second chance. I have been using various services there since 2005. I used to receive great service, but recently in the past few years, I have had some bad experiences from getting my eyes burned by hot wax to walking around with the wrong hair color not to mention, the unfinished haircut. The last time I tried to contact the stylist to fix the cut, I found out she no longer works there, so I guess she doesnt have to fix her mistake. Then today I received a new stylist thinking fresh start, however this lady was so rude, almost mean. I had to leave before she took her unhappy behavior out on me. I think Sanctuary in going downhill fast in the customer service department. Would not go back .

I had a very horrible experience at this salon. The ladies were rude and I felt the entire salon was very pretentious. In addition, when I had a problem with what they charged me (with proof of what should be charged), they acted as if it were my fault that their system hasnt been updated. Its safe to say I wont be going back.

I used to go here more frequently, but now its really only when my family gives me a gift card - and I recently told them I dont want another gift card from Sanctuary. Their staff can come across as untrained in the basics of making customers feel welcome. Call to make an appointment - youre put on hold. The person who finally answers the phone speaks mostly in monosyllables and offers you one appointment time - two, if you insist - in the next 2 weeks. When you arrive, nobody acknowledges you for several minutes, although there are several employees standing at the reception desk, and then you wait 5, 10, as long as 20 minutes or more for services you reserved 2 weeks in advance and arrived on time for. Youre a number in a place thats very busy and isnt very concerned about whether you come back or not. The salon and spa services are fine, but not special enough to compensate for walking out feeling processed through rather than taken good care of.
