For home improvement this has always been my favorite place to shop, that said today I had quite a few things in my cart ( 27) and I was in line with a lady in front of me plus the person being rang up. A worker asked me to do self check out and I told him I didn’t want to that I had to many things and waited. Once the lady in front of me was being checked out the cashier asked me if I would go to self check out, I told her I’d rather wait because of the stuff in my cart, that if I had just a couple things no problem, but I’d rather she rang them. The cashier got aggravated and I got aggravated back and she was telling the lady behind that she’d be done soon, the lady didn’t have a problem,but the cashier was letting me know I was holding up the line. I told her maybe they should get more cashiers. Why make me feel guilty ( or try to) for buying more than two things at the cashier?? I Really don’t mind self checkout for a few items but with too many it’s quite a pain. Is this what home improvement stores have come to? If you just have a few items the cashier will help you, if you have more than that you must help yourself because YOU are holding up the Line. If I come back in this store it will not be for more than a couple items and I’m betting then I’ll be told to go to self checkout.

A few weeks ago my husband and I went to Lowes for a new upright freezer. Even though it was close to closing time, the staff was really friendly and helpful.Tyler (I think that was his name?) in appliances got us set up with a home delivery, and Marshall at customer service helped with a credit card application. We had an overall great experience with everyone.

We were very pleased with the help.we git from Brandon in lumber when noone was in garden at 7 at night. He showed me the far corner where small garden sheds were and came back to help load it on a cart and them into our truck. The next day he was backing lumber at 11 am and helped us attach a flag to a piece of oversize lumber. Very polite and courteous. Thanks Brandon!

I had an issue with a debit load for a refund on a returned item and was not made aware of a potential (14) day process which would have inhibited my ability to fulfil a contracted remodel.Travis was very helpful and was quick to help me with a solution that I would have been at a total loss without. Mistakes happen, but all employees at service desk were very patient and understanding and overall I am very pleased with the end result. Thank you again Travis.

No carts available to move MDF sheets on their side. They were caged off in the lumber section. A handful strewn about the store with merchandise so clearly recovery is not a priority here. We attempted to bring the board on a flat cart to the front, but the aisle are too crowded with ladders and stand alone cardboard item displays to make it feasible. We just carried the sheet ourselves to the front. The item displays in the aisles also make me question the wheelchair accessibility. It doesnt seem compliant with ADA required 36 width for aisles.I will avoid this store for future projects. I would advise the same for any wheelchair bound persons.

Worst service. I tried getting help, two employees told me they didn’t work in the department so couldn’t help me (Didn’t even hear my question). Then the employee sent to help me asked what I needed and walked off to help two other customers. Then she turns around and asks me what I need and send me to another employee.They start looking for the tile I need (they had 8boxes in inventory) and I spend 45min standing around. Then they mentioned I need to order it because they couldn’t find it. I ordered it and paid for it and they said it would be in, in 3days. I call them 3days later and they said another 3days. I call again them a week after the order and they said they just ordered it the day before and it would be here in 4days.I call them back 5days later and they said it’s out for another 2weeks. I try to speak to management, I get hung up on. I call back and they place me on hold and it hangs up. I call back again and I finally get to a manager and she immediately starts making excuses and says she doesn’t know when it’s coming in. I need to call back on Monday.I do not recommend Lowe’s, I’ve always gone to Home Depot for everything. I just wanted to see the difference between the stores since I just moved and wanted to give them a chance with one DIY project and I regret it.

😁 I unload sheetrock, here. So, my experience is in the back, at the contractors entrance. Friendly staff and helpful. It does get busy. Extra parking if your pulling a trailer. Dont park in the way, they will help you load.

UNBELIEVABLE POOR SERVICE.We were waiting to check out and Emma a cashier started yelling and being extremely disrespect to another cashier Melinda. I felt really bad for her. This is absolutely unacceptable with customer service especially to do in front of people!!! I seriously hope management does something about this! Emma should not be in customer service and needs to apologize to Melinda. Melinda… you did a great job and kept your cool. Good for you. Never stoop to her level.

9-21-2021.I live in the Heights here in Billings. I called the Lowes store a number of times, trying to find out about something and ask some questions. The problem was that no one at Lowes would answer the phone. So I had to drive all the way to the store inorder to ask my question. I spoke to the manager there about what just happened, but he was worthless!

Very helpful customer service. Its great to be able to park in the back at the contractors entrance. I was specifically looking for a couple of plumbing parts. I went to the Plumbing department and found the parts within a couple minutes. Thanks!

And to make it even better 3 men were helped before us despite the fact we were there well before them. I guess they don’t give one damn about helping women willing to spend a lot of money.

Dont even remember what we did here that day, but any reason to go to Lowes is a good day. Its like going to Disneyland, but for adults. Everything was easy to find and the employees were all knowledgeable and helpful.

Love the people who work here and the service I get provided. Gave a 4 star because my biggest complaint is that I cannot get ahold of a person via telephone.. I called my local Lowes and it constantly hangs up on me. I call the 1-800 number and no one ever picks up. I ordered over 1300 dollars worth of merchandise from you and you never called me to inform me it was in and I CANNOT get ahold of anyone. Super frustrating and when I went into the store to inquire about my merchandise the gentleman just said yeah, its a problem if its a problem, fix it!!

Randy is an asset to this Lowe’s location. He was helpful during the sale of a washer and dryer, but the rest of the store failed us. It took over a month to get the washer and dryer. Randy let me know about it taking about a month but when the month had passed, I had to call to schedule delivery. It took a long time to get a hold of someone. Quite often no one answers the phones.I got my washer and dryer and just didn’t like it. Lowe’s guarantees their products and offers return. I tried calling to return it, but no one answers the phones. I called the 1800 number Lowe’s offers and received an approval for return and pick up. I was told they would call me to arrange for pick up. A few days passed and no one called. I called several times with no one answering. Finally I called with someone answering, but I got transferred and the phone would hang up. At this point I’m fed up and I asserted this needed to be escalated to management. I demanded a resolution at this point. Randy took ownership of the problem and arranged for pickup. The guy that came to pick it up was rude. He was skinny with reddish hair and seemed to have a hard time understanding both the washer and dryer need to go. This left a bad impression that I’m not sure if I want to make big purchase at that Lowe’s again. Perhaps not any other purchases. Randy did a great job in services but it shouldn’t all be left for him. There should be a team where everyone does their part. And no one should feel bad about returning an item if it’s not meeting their expectations. Thankfully there are plenty other stores like Home Depot, Ace, or Shiptons.

Went to go find mower blades. Web said there was one set in stock that I was looking for. Yeah, good luck finding em. The blade section is a disaster and looks like it hasnt been inventoried in 6 months. Not to mention that 3 different employees knew i was there and did absolutely nothing to see if I needed help. I remember now why I hate coming here and prefer going across the street to Home Depot.

Go in for a under the counter microwave exhaust fan combo and they have 3 that are not even listed on line. Then look for a light fixture repair part and they barely have the basics. Top it off i look for a hardwired under cabinet light...49.99 for an 18 inch fluorescent? Its not worth 15.00.

Low expectations when I went in and lower opinions after I left. “Customer service”? What’s that? Oh you’re a diy’r I don’t have time for you find it yourself. Now if you’re in here to buy an over priced appliance etc we would be happy to take your money and act like we are BFFs till the sale is made. Sound familiar? because that is just how I felt. So I went to Ace hardware the young man that helped me was more than helpful and went out of his way to find what I was searching for. That is customer service. Not everyone that walks in to a home improvement store is looking to spend thousands of dollars every time they go in but they might the next time they come back if they are treated right…

Overall they excell! Anyone who has been in a Lowes knows 😉. The four stars is due to particular difficulties involving getting phone calls answered at the Billings outlet. They also have issues with errors on their website. However their employees know their stuff and they will work with you and let you know what they can and cant do.

I really like Lowes and prefer to give them my business over Home Depot but I have been very disappointed with a few situations at the Billings store over the last few years. First, we ordered a snowblower online for in store pickup within 2 hours. After more than 3 hours we stopped by the store and were informed that we could not pick it up that day because it had not been assembled. Second, we ordered a trailer at the store to be delivered to the store. When it arrived and we came to pick it up, they had lost the paperwork. This made something that should have taken 15 minutes take over an hour. Finally, we were at the store today to purchase a tool chest. After we flagged someone down, we were told that there were 9 in stock and that he would grab one from the back for us. After waiting for 15+ minutes, he came back to tell us that they were all still on the truck and that we could come back another day.Long story short, if youre there to pick up something small, I recommend them. If youre ordering anything or picking up something larger, dont get your hopes up on it being a smooth process.

Purchased a Craftsman riding mower. The team member that assisted me hadnt been trained on the process of retrieving mowers that are outside in the parking lot. Took 10 minutes to get the thing unlocked, then she had to run back in the store to get a key for the mower and the owners manual, another 10 minutes was spent doing this. I finally was able to load the mower on my ATV trailer. But as I was leaving the parking lot, the mower seat was flopping all over the place. Lowes personnel didnt tighten down the 2 bolts holding it on its bracket. When checking out the seat with it lifted up, I found that the cover over the fly wheel had a melted looking crack in the top of the air vent. I took the mower back immediately. Lowes personnel didnt want to let me exchange my purchase for a non damaged mower. After 35 minutes of discussion, it was finally determined that the mower was knowingly damaged when Lowes personnel were offloading the mower upon delivery to their store. So...why then sell it without making the buyer aware of this flaw? Never going back. Will shop at Home Depot for my larger purchase items from now on.

We visited Lowe’s today and it was not easy to find someone to help. We ended having two people help us and they both acted put out and obviously did not want to help.Lowes only had a few fiberglass tubs to choose from. Most of their stuff seemed to be made cheaply. (Not employees fault).Called to ask a question about flooring after on the phone for 5 minutes no one would answer in flooring. CS did ask if I’d like to leave a message. Which was nice.Unfortunately this is our experience every time we have to visit Lowe’s. Sadly Billings, MT Home Depot is starting to be the same way but definitely not as bad. What happened to good customer service.I gave 2 stars because they did have a good tile selection if you like modern tile.

Bought NEW washing machine & it hasn’t ever worked properly as for every wash we have to turn it off & back on. Finally recently we were able to get a repairman in who can work on Whirlpool’s. Of which evidentially isn’t that easy to do or find. After calling several phone numbers in state & out of state we were able to eventually get an appointment. He couldn’t fix it once he looked at it. Has to order parts for this NEW machine & that will take up to 3weeks, so we have to wait some more. He was very nice & seemed to know what he was doing & that’s the one positive from this ordeal with Lowe’s. Didn’t get much help from them. Seems once you pay & out the door, their job is done...UGH

I have been going to Lowes at this location for over 10 years. Nick who first helped me over ten years ago still today is fantastic! Even stops to say hello when Im there. Kenna who is a cashier manager(I think) is awesome too! I know they are short handed, but so is everyone one else! I find Lowes to be the best!!! Keep up the good work!

We ordered appliances July. We were told twice that they were ready for pickup. Both times after driving 2 hrs one way to pick them up we were informed they were not there. They said they would call with our status after the last failed pickup. Today we called to find out they had canceled our order and the appliances we wanted were no longer in stock. No reparations were offered. Now we have a new house with no appliances. They said we could purchase a more expensive range to match the other appliances, but they wouldnt arrive for 3 another months. We cant live for 3 months without any appliances. We will never purchase anything from here again. ( except Stephanie in appliances, shes great at her job, in every way, she deserves 5 stars)

Terrible experience!!! Bought a grill/smoker (Oklahoma Joe,Longhorn). They offered to put it together for free. I took advantage of that. I chose the earliest day offered to pick up. It wasn’t ready that day. I was told Tuesday or Thursday I’d get a call when it’s ready. I had to call to find out it still wasn’t ready and they didn’t have it in the system to be assembled. Customer service said it would be ready after a couple days. I got a call the next day saying it was put together. Got to Lowe’s waited for awhile and when my grill was brought out it was the wrong grill assembled. It was a grill that was $150 cheaper than mine. So again I waited and waited only to be brought out the floor model that has some scratches on it and the germs of all the people that have touched it. Very upset!!

Sweet Mary! If you can buy appliances from somewhere else, do it. I bought 3 appliances over the summer of 2020. Each took more than 2 months to be delivered. 2 were installed incorrectly and had to be fixed. God bless you if you have to actually call someone at the store... absolutely ridiculous!!

Wr love going to Lowes for the great prices, and with my husband being a vet we get the military discount and the inventory is always solid, but during our last couple visits it just seems like the home set up install and delivery service portions been a little shaky and by that I mean not having us on the right delivery day or not being able to give us a time or not even setting it up correctly ( that was an entirely different matter that were not going to go into today)
