I guess I should not have gone there again! I have given so many chances but since Liza left its went to poo. I will never go back there again. I refuse to give Patty another chance to ruin my hair again. She has no idea what she is doing she definitely cant cut hair. The only good stylist there is Abby. They need to clean house or hire girls that know what they are doing.

Son asked for a number 2 on the sides and number 4 on top...I cant say BUZZ CUT loud enough! Hell I could have done that for him myself! Honey for the future a number two and a number four means theyre two different lengths! Strike two for them and they wont be getting a chance for a third strike....so long Smart Style!

They were booked up so I set up an appointment in April 2020. Covid temporarily closed them so they told me to come in anytime and theyd make good on the appointment. Ive returned 27 times and have been told each time that theyd have to schedule me an appointment because theyre booked. A year on an appointment and cant get into a walk in center.

I believe her name is Brandy who did my hair today. Very friendly, professional and quick. The turn out for my hair was even better than I expected. I had my 5 month old daughter with me and she was more than accommodating for me. A few of the staff in between clients snuggled with her as well. Definitely will be returning to the Big Rapids location. Thanks for the great service ladies. You all rock.

I had a few hours of free time and couldnt find anywhere that had time for walk ins other than here. I should have sadly taken that as a sign to NOT get a haircut that day. But I figured Hey, the people that work here have all gone to school for this as well so why not! I left with a terribly blunt, choppy looking hair cut and poorly cut bangs. I dont see how this place has 4 out of 5 stars. Now Im out the money I spent for this disaster, plus the money Ill have to spend getting it fixed, if thats even possible. If not, I just have to pray my hair grows back fast. Cutting hair is not something you should be doing if you dont care to do a good job.

Went in on a Tuesday evening, and there was no wait time. I was unsure of what style I wanted and they were very patient while I explained it to them. I spent around 30-45 minutes for a full cut and shave, and it was exactly what I expected. While they were friendly and offered good service, they also had side-conversations with the other staff members, and glanced at their phones. It didn’t hinder service but it was noticeable. I would go back there again for another cut at a later date.

I got the worst haircut Ive ever seen. I said to start longer on the bangs and as soon as she took the razor to my hair I should have stopped it and walked away. I highly recommend going somewhere else in BR. I went to Tracy and Co and they did an amazing job fixing what little hair I had left to work with.

Have always been happy with the cut, dye and styles I’ve gotten from here. More often I see Leeza for my dyes and she is excellent! I’m always happy when I see that she is working when I walk in. Thanks Leeza!

The stylists at SmartStyle are very good at what they do. If you go in, they will get you in asap. They are so popular, you may have to wait a bit.

Worst hair cut I have ever had!! I showed the gal the picture she said no problem. The style was supposed to be at the bottom of the ear it is at the very top!!!! Need I say more???? She was TOO Busy to help me style this mess of her creation!!!! I was NOT a walk in and had requested shampoo, cut and style!!! Way below Regis standards!!!

Very happy with the staff, very friendly!! My mom sees Abbey or one of the other girls when shes not available. My mom is 85 with some dementia and other health problems. She is treated so good and she always looks forward to seeing her girls. Thank you so much for all your kindness!

My daughter wanted me to dye her hair my husband agreed so I did! The first time I did it it turned out okay I would say.. but the second time she wanted done I tried it a new way putting her hair in a ponytail and then doing the process. It didnt turn out the best. So the next day I took her to smartstyle to try to fixed. She got Brandi and she did everything she could to get it out of her hair because it was a really vibrant bright purple she tried a malibu different shampoo and conditioner products it still wouldnt come out. It did come out a little bit then Brandi and I decided to just for her to get a darker purple to hide the bright purple and Brandi did outstanding at the finished part!! they are pricey but its worth it all the stylists their are fabulous and wonderful I recommend this place! Its just they are kinda pricey.

Cut my hair a couple inches shorter than i asked.

It needs more of a waiting area so people are not standing around awkwardly. It was busy with only 2 chairs as a waiting area inside of the salon and a small bench outside. The lady rolled her eyes as we came. They seemed nice enough though.

She cut a childs head and neck, left hair patches and was rude to my friend. Her name is Leeza larrance on facebook. I didnt get an actual name but she is terrible and is hurting kids. Unacceptable!! She shouldnt have any licence if she even has one!!

I know this is a hair salon is in Walmart but forget about whatever stigma you have, or have heard about a SmartStyle or anything just because its in Walmart the hair stylists in here are top-notch, super helpful, super friendly, and do it right the first time for an extremely reasonable price.

Terrible terrible terrible just paid for her to mess up my hair cut asked for a clean trim she make it choppy and when I said please don’t chop at it she insisted on doing exactly what I said not to. Ruined my bangs I’m at another salon right now trying to get it fixed never ever go here ever. I’m so upset I could cry
