I am a returning customer of Midas - this specific location was new to me as I was miles from home and this shop was the closest one to me at the time. Well, heres the deal - I am driving my VW when I notice my car starts to feel as if it is shutting off. I pull over where I can start to use my phone and immediately search for an automotive shop nearby. I called this Midas and had the pleasure to speak to Joel - very professional and easy going. I let him know what was going on with my car and he advised me to bring it in if I was able to (He set me up with an appointment time slot to ensure they had a bay available when I would get there) which was perfect as I was able to get it started.I was able to easily find the shop as they are on a corner with a large Midas sign right out front. There was a lot of parking available which I was really happy about as I wouldve hated to have had to double park or leave my car running. The store looked well maintained and clean on the outside - whoever is in charge, cheers to you as youre doing a hell of a job! I was happy to see much of the staff wearing face protection(masks) as we are still within the realms of an endless pandemic... Nonetheless, when I got inside I was greeted by a gentleman behind the desk who happened to be Joel whom I spoke with over the phone. I explained to him my concern that my car wasnt holding any battery or a charge.As we spoke, Joel - who I can tell has years of experience offered a battery health check for my car. Joel also mentioned they do a 55-point courtesy check with any service which was a plus as I still had some miles to go before I got home.About 15 minutes into my battery health check, Joel, brought me into the shop to show me my courtesy check and report finding... Joel showed me my battery test results and recommended a battery as mine was failing - this I knew as AAA had to jump my car almost two weeks back, but it was good to see that the battery was all he recommended as to my shutting off issues.He continued on to explain the courtesy check, they noted that I was due for an oil service and tire rotation (they did not try to upsell a whole new set of tires which was a good feeling) and at this point I am so comfortable with all the recommendations I decide its best to do them all. I ended up replacing the battery, getting an oil change and tire rotation, and an alignment - total time for everything was just about an hour and 45 minutes.When it came time to pay Joel went over my alignment schematic and showed me what was causing some early signs of irregular wear. Their pricing was really fair and transparent for everything which I was really happy about - I mean really no ones happy with spending money on repairs anytime, but Joel made the whole process really easy and he and the staff were all so helpful and welcoming.I hate that I live so far from this shop as this would be my new place. Anyways, thank you Joel for all your help.P.S. My alignment is perfect! Great job team Midas!

This place charged my friend $3500 to basically do a brake job and replace suspension components. When I questioned the invoice and the charves occurred. The service manager said that Midas is allowed to charge the maximum hours alloted for repairs regardless of the actual hours worked. This may be true but its hardly good for the customer to pay the maximum amount of hours and get the minimum amount of work

Talk about honest mechanics, the dealer said I need certain repairs done that were going to cost an arm and a leg. Luckily I came here for a second opinion and they ended up saving me money on something I didnt need. I got my brakes and rotors done, I have a 2012 Malibu which is weird with the brakes but they did an exceptional job. Joe was super helpful and has outstanding customer service.

Need a smog check? Go here and hope you get Ricky. Hes incredibly efficient and probably one of the nicest guys youll meet. I got in at 5:45, and was out the door, paperwork submitted to the DMV and all, at 6 pm on the dot.

Very bad experience with my oil change. Left my 2015 Audi Q5 on a Saturday morning for a routine oil change then went to work. Picked up the car before the shop closed. Before I got home the oil filter popped and my whole engine block was covered in hot oil that messed up my serpentine belt and almost ruined my pistons. Turns out the used 2 oil filter seals instead of the required 1. Had to get the car towed to another shop since there do not operate on weekends. They asked me to come over for a payment reversal of $94 and that the owner will soon contact me to help me out with the cost from the other shop yet 3 weeks after charges still remained. I called them several times to follow up and I keep getting empty promises. Contacted my bank to cancel credit card charges. I definitely do not recommend this place. I think if you cant get a simple oil change right, you should not be in business.

Owner is a liar and crook. We brought our company car in for a while but after this day they lost our business completely. . I brought our company car in for an oil change, that is all. When I left the car barely could drive because one of the tires was REALLY acting up. It wasn’t doing this before. but somehow the car was conveniently almost NOT drivable and it was fine when I took it in for an oil change. The owner was there and he tried to sell me on tire services. I told him it wasn’t like that before. He said so “you are calling me a liar “? Uh? YES!!!!! Very bad service, they play slick. Don’t take your car here.

Overall service was good here. Came in for an oil change on a weekday and they said it would take about 1.5 hours. It ended up taking about 2.5 hours and I had to call before I even knew it was gonna be ready. People seemed nice but it would have been nice to have a more straight forward time. Luckily I live near by so I was just at home while this was happening.

I usually bring my cars to Express Auto Shop on Pico/Robertson, but I brought my car to be serviced here because it was conveniently located next to my home and I was strapped for time. While I did save time, my pocket book took a huge hit! My car had problems with shaking while accelerating. I was assured that the shaking would be fixed by replacing the hydraulic fluid. The cost for doing this with labor included was approximately $500. As you might guess, Im still having problems with the car. Brought the car back to be checked, and they still had no answer. Check engine light is good, so there is no problem. These guys are NOT mechanics. Dont ever bring your car here for anything other than your brakes (Id probably be hesitant on this as well). Bring your cars to Sam at Express Auto Shop on Pico/Robertson instead. He is honest and you will be satisfied with the job that he does. I will never bring any of my cars here in the future, and would encourage you to do the same if you want quality work for your hard earned money.

Joel was the person at the front desk when I walked in today. He was on his cell phone I believe and very nonchalant when I walked in. It was a little more than an hour before close, and I arrived to get an oil change. I mentioned that I wanted to use a coupon from their website. He stated that it had to be printed out because his manager collects them. I said, you guys dont accept the copy from the website (electronic wallet)? He said, no. I said okay. I proceeded to walk back to my car to call a different location in order to confirm the validity of the claim. Was this a one off situation or is this a rule across the board? The person who answered at the other location said they indeed accept electronic copies that can be scanned, and that the paper copy is not necessary as long as you have the code from the coupon. He said, though each Midas is independently owned, the requirement for the paper copy sounds absured since they only need the code from the coupon.With this information, I walked back in to inform Joel of what I learned and asked if the requirement is specific to this location. He stumbled over his words and began to say what other locations accept without answering if that was truly the rule for this location. Especially since the code is all that is needed in order to process the coupon. He eventually, said yea. I told him that was rather inconvenient in 2019, but his attitude was response confirmed he did not care. I think he just didnt want to accept the coupon.The only reason I went to this location is because its less than 10mins from my job and I was unable to make it to the one closes to my house before they close. Not a good experience.

The price is great but that is where it stops for this one location. I have always used Midas and I swear by them, except for this one particular location. I brought in the car for a simple oil change and left with a horrible headache. My sun visor had a small, very tiny and insignificant bump, but it still functioned and didnt bug me at all. They broke my sun visor to the point where 3/4 of the time I have to drive with my hand holding it up. As if it was a reason for what happened, they told me multiple times that the lady driving (Kathy) hit her head against it.When confronted with the issue, the manager (Joel) told me that You brought it in like that and we will not pay for your broken car He brought over the technician who worked on it and after whispering something to him he stuck with the you brought it in this way (The paperwork had no mention of the visor at all, so when it came in there was no issue). I asked to speak to the owner and Joel told me he would be back in 5 minutes and he would pass him my information. It has been over a week and no call. As an icing to the cake, they left the car dirtier than when I dropped it off and worse of all, I have already found two things on their courtesy check that they marked they did that I had to do myself. I called the customer care hotline and was told a regional manager would get a hold of me in 2 business days, that was on 10/27, still waiting for that call as well.

I went to two midas branches, this one and the one in figueroa. A week a part. Two different recommendations. Went to a different shop. I gave 3 star coz the one in figueroa has the same diagnosis with the 3rd shop.

I brought my car into Midas over a year ago to add new break pads. After a few days I noticed the breaks started screeching which they did not do before. I brought the car back in and left it with them to fix. They claimed to have fixed the problem but shortly after the screeching began again. I ended up bringing in the car over 5 times and the issue was never resolved. I was told to bring it back in for the owner, Amos to see. He drove around the block with me, tried to pretend he didnt hear the screeching but when it became impossible to ignore, he admitted to it and said theyd fix it. I said Id like to be reimbursed if the issue was not fixed. When I picked up my car, I noticed a few weeks later the screeching began again. Being a single working mother, I gave up on brining it back in and called for reimbursement. It took 3 weeks for Amos to return my call at which point he told me to bring it back in AGAIN so that he could see what the problem is. He claimed to have never met me before and refused to reimburse me. I would never recommend any service from Midas and strongly feel the owner, Amos is scam artist. He is a liar and takes advantage of people and does nothing to fix any car issues. They should be shut down.

I went in to get my exhaust switched out. I bought the exhaust online. They said its a 2.5 hour job because of the way it would fit. They said 275 I got them down to 215. Im in the waiting room 20 minutes and its done. Of course Im like hmmm that wasnt 2 hours. The old guy said he was saying they charge minimum 2.5 hours. Of course the whole place comes in while Im complaining that I was just lied to. He tried to give me back 15 dollars. If you want to be taken advantage of go here, you wont be disappointed one bit. Lost a customer for sure. I have alot of things I want to do to my car. They could have had a loyal customer.

The worst customer service!!! Joel, the head guy, is a total jerk... hes rude, unprofessional, and the whole experience is extremely unpleasant. This guy should never be at the front desk... when they gave out people skills he must have been home sick! The air conditioner was a wall unit that is just below the high ceiling that did not work and it was terribly hot and uncomfortable. The workers kept coming in to take water from the dispenser... I came home only to find that they charged me twice! I WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! dreadful customer care. The head guy tried his best to be nice but he still came across patronising & frustrated at the fact I had questions regarding my car & the service.I was also lied to... free tyre rotation. Was what pushed me to spend my money on a service.I was then told my tyres cant be rotated as they are not good. AFTER they took my money when I insisted if I could quickly change my tyres as I have spare I was told I will then be charged 25$ plus tax for this so called FREE tyre rotation,I need a refund and will Persue this to the death on social media untill I am left feeling like I didnt get ripped off !!!!
