Steve is a fantastic mechanic and just a great guy. He had what I needed for my old Saab at half cost from another place.

The Throttle cable on my 9-5 snapped and I couldnt find a replacement anywhere. Every website I tried to order a replacement (new and used) on sent me an email saying the order was canceled and my money would be refunded. After hours of calling shops around the country I finally was recommend Saab Specific. Not only did they have a used one but I was informed that no one makes the part because it normally doesnt fail (lucky me). Not only did they ship the part with 2 day shipping but they got it out in the mail only a few hours after I called. If I didnt live in Montana I would take my Saab there for repairs with confidence.

Ive been going to Saab Specific for probably 15 years now and consistently get excellent service at shockingly low prices. Sometimes I feel like Im stealing from them. Not only did Steve keep my first Saab going until 305,000 miles when I bought a newer Saab the owner told me it was serviced by the best and I asked Steve Snow? and with wide eyes asked How did you know?. The third Saab I bought the owner said the same thing! Okay admittedly there arent exactly 100 Saab mechanics in the area but seriously he is amazing and his team is too. Even if I ask for something to be fixed, if it doesnt need to be fixed he tells me and doesnt do the work, super honest. Call ahead though, they are BUSY servicing cars from all over New England and NY. Oh did I mention I live a few states away in MA? Yup I drive all the way to Maine and wouldnt consider doing anything else

Well after 1700 dollars on new throttle body’s and throttle body resets and 3 different mechanics. I finally got fed up due to all symptoms and same codes coming back right after so I towed my Saab 3 hours to drop off at SAAB SPECIFIC, in Berwick Maine. Couldn’t be more happy with that decision. Aside from his perfect rating on google, just talking to him you could tell he’s the real deal. His shop is a wonderland for Saab owners. He fixed my car in 3 days and all it was, was the ECM. He fixed it for 240$. Basically moral of the story, if you wish not to waste thousands of dollars... literally. Take it to a professional. And for those of u in New England. I suggest you go check out Saab specific07 Saab 95 sedan
