Ok good job. Sam did great work for me, took a broken laptop/dead hard drive and asked him to retrieve the data and see if it can be fixed. He got my data and fixed the laptop too, also made it slightly better by fixing the fan that was heating up too much since my laptop is old over 6 years plus. So far so good, also didnt ask me for more money, only charged me flat $69, I told him I am student so he helped. Thanks

Incompetent technician. I went there to clean up my fans to solve my overheating problem. When I got my laptop back, the case was improperly closed, and the fan remained the same (covered by dust). I asked him about the dust, and he told me that it was just the fan. (He also told me that the pc is hard to open.) I ended up using a screw to reopen and close the case for it to fit, and use a knife to get some of the dust out. Couple weeks later I went to another repair shop, and they told me they saw no sign that it was cleaned just weeks before.My guess is, this guy tried to open my laptop, failed and ended up just popping a few screws and covers for several compartments, and then closed it and used compressed air to clean my keyboard. Cannot believe that took one day. Also, because I did not see him do his job (if he did it at all), it is essentially his word against mine.Go to other shops where technicians are more capable. I guess you can go there if you have a more obvious problem (like a virus or fail-to-boot), since it would be easier to see if they actually do their job, but why save around 50 for the risk of not getting the full service you need?

Sam is the best! Before walking into American Tech I was ready to get rid of my laptop that wouldnt even turn on. A few people already tried to repair it unsuccessfully, but since it was an expensive laptop, I wanted to see one more time if anything can be done. Initially, Sam told me that its most likely a goner, since the motherboard will have to be replaced. However, he didnt give up and proceeded to give my laptop a more detailed look. He ended up fixing a few connectivity and cooling issues. A week and a half service later my laptop is turning on and its the fastest it can be! Thank you!

Came in with a fairly broken laptop hinge and back panel and screen almost falling off, could not transport it safely or close it. He got a custom part in within a week, right in the price range he estimated. He completed the repair faster than promised, and every part of it was professional. I left completely satisfied with Sams work, I would go back again.

I have used these folks twice. The second was for a badly infected PC. Pierce was able to clean it up remotely while accommodating my schedule so that I had use of my PC for multiple hours each day. Give them a try.

Awesome business! That is the least to say regarding my experience. I had an unexpected glitch come up via the Microsoft boys and my operating system. I called the local computer repair shops and it looked like an open ended situation and more technology funds down the drain. American Tech offered me their flat fee service which seemed more than fair and in my case, more than fair it was.. They had awesome follow up and in the end I recommended that they should raise their $69 fee a bit but I understand that it is working out for all or most parties at this point. Thanks to Sean and American Tech.

These guys are knowledgeable and very skilled. Prices are reasonable too. Love it

After my Mac crashed I brought it to Apple with the hopes that they would be able to extract files off of my hard drive that I needed urgently for work. They were unable to do that and referred me to a specialist in Novato who were ready to charge me between $700 and $2000 for the file extraction... Thank god I decided to call these guys instead and they got the job done for $70 overnight! Im back to coding and my wallet is not bleeding. :)

I came in with a broken screen and i was underwhelmed with the clarity of the advice and communication I received.I will not be coming back.

It’s a bit of a risk paying for this service. They’ll just do what is most likely to fix the problem even if it’s not a guarantee and still charge you.

The worst service and price---$69 to put in a screw that fell out in 3 weeks.When I took it back in, Eric took my laptop apart so I couldnt use it and charged me $49 to put another screw in---I would avoid this place

Great service. efficient, very timely-

I was excited when I took my computer in to be repaired as they had one of the best rates available. Other places wanted to charge double the rate. This shouldve been my first clue that the service would be shotty. I brought my computer in, they repaired it and talked me into paying for an extra *heat coating* to keep my computer from overheating. The issue I was having was the power connection on my dell laptop, of which these laptops are notorious for having this problem. In any case...the computer seemed to work when I got it home, but I noticed if I even just lightly moved the computer the power connection would fail...the same problem I brought it in for. I called american tech and left a couple messages....they never called me back. I tried calling several other times and they didnt answer. I figured they just blew me off so I didnt bother calling them again after a few days. Then, just today, the power connection cut out completly, rendering the computer useless unless I prop the power cord up so its pushed tight into the socket at the back. I called them back several times, and FINALLY got a live person who told me I shouldve brought the computer back to them within 14 days of the original repair....and now Id hafta pay them again to fix it. Its rediculous! They claim no knowledge of getting ANY messages or calls from me. Stay away from them. Theyll rip you off and youll lose your money and get no repairs...

Nailed the diagnosis over the phone- fixed and in and out in a day! Ran complete factory check and cleaned out all the fuzzies from my cat. Could not have been a more positive experience!

Google shows open at 9, called and the voice mail saying open at 11, wait in front till 11:15am, still closed.
