I had to bring in my Macbook pro multiple times due to an unknown charging issue that affected me throughout the semester - every time I came in, they were able to get my laptop back to me within less than a week and were so understanding when I asked them if I could get it back before a specific date because I was leaving town. Its been over a month and now my Macbook is working just fine !

Took a used Macbook in for warranty repair. The Macbook was hand-me-down for my teenage son from an uncle and it had some other issues (video camera didnt work). Technician called me back, informed that there might have been a spill and asked if we wanted it cleaned up for a fee. We did. Got it back -- the camera works, like new! And the boozos at the Apple Store have told the giving uncle it would require a replacement (800$ or some such thing) Very prompt, very professional, technicians know their hardware! Highly recommend!

It was ok. He was helpful but I decided to fix the computer myself since I didnt want to pay a $60 diagnostic (MRI scan). Turns out I needed to delete my raid array in my Mac and clone to a single SSD. My read and write speeds are perfect now 😝

Pretty upset- I had an initial repair done on my keyboard and then my speakers started to sound broken, I took it in thinking it would be covered since it only started after my initial repair. I was going to hold off on the repair when they said it wasn’t covered and went to pick it and they had already done the repair. In the hole $120 for replacing only one speaker on my Mac, that they probably broke on my initial repair. Make sure you are very clear about what you get done first.

I brought in my ailing i phone today to get confirmation that the charging port was irreparably damaged from years of abusive plugging. Within 3 minutes the diagnosis was returned -LINT . (not an acronym for lower intelligence never triumphs). The navel of my phone now clean and plug receptive I was on my way sans charge ($). I am grateful to Computerland for their kindness and expertise.

Great, fast and reliable service. I went in to fix a cracked screen for my iPhone 6 and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They run Apple diagnostic on my iPhone and they said everything else is fine, I just need the new screen. I got my iPhone back the next day and they replaced screen with the original one from Apple. Would definitely recommend this place. Going to bring my macbook next week for repairs so will let you know how that goes!

I cannot recommend Computerland highly enough. My only experience was with Gus, but everyone else seemed nice and I’m sure this would apply to them too. Gus was knowledgeable and patient and took the time to explain my options to me and give the advice that would benefit me the most in terms of money and peace of mind, even if that advice meant less work for them. Plus, unlike the Genius Bar at the Apple stores, you can make an appointment to come in most times on most days. When I came in I made an appointment two days beforehand (not out of necessity, but because it was actually the best time for me). If I had tried to go to an Apple store the soonest appointment was a week out.

I came here after my macbook logic board crashed in the middle of a busy work week and all Apple stores nearby had a week wait just to get an appointment. ComputerLand tested the computer, ordered, and replaced the part, and got my computer back to me working perfectly BY THE NEXT DAY. I was completely amazed by their service and understanding of how important a working computer can be to a persons livelihood. Highly recommend.

Went in when I got locked out of my Mac and Apple support set up an appointment. Apple told me it should only take 10-15 minutes. The man said it would be 5 days, cost around $200, he would have to erase everything on my computer. But he said he’d give me a free new keyboard, battery and trackpad...I said there was nothing wrong with my computer. I’m just locked out and can not connect to the Apple ID server. He said the soonest he can get it done is 24 hours, and it would still have to be erased and cost $150. It felt off so I left.It turned out to just be an issue with the WiFi network I was connected originally to. I got to a cafe, tried again, and got into my laptop within 5 minutes, no erase needed. Would not recommend, as he did not even consider that possible problem nor try connecting me to their WiFi.

Super amazing service. AK/Tri helped me- I spilled water in my backpack and MBPro (touchbar) was soaked in water. The touchbar stopped working and I went in panicking but thankfully they were able to fix it quickly. They helped me replaced the whole keyboard, touchbar, and touchpad at fraction of the cost if it was done at apple. Super grateful and happy. Highly recommend computer land over Genius Bar!

I have a 2017 Macbook Pro that had issues with terribly sticky keys, and the staff at Computerland helped replace my entire top case (keys, battery, trackpad) with a new one in just 3 days! Staff were super friendly, helpful, and efficient. Would definitely recommend!

O star! Scam. Their website said Testing & Diagnostics: $40 for Laptops & $60 for Desktops & iMacs But my daughter brought a water spilled ASUS Laptop to them, they asked $60 for Diagnostic. My daughter called them first, they answered $40, but once you going to their store. They asked $60. really a cheater.They told my daughter its 80% chance can be fixed.But the truth is they will ask you to pay another $400~$600 to replace the motherboard or keyboard after their Testing & Diagnostics.Really dis-honest.

I have brought in various devices, including a MacBook Pro, an iPad and an iPhone, for diagnosis and repair to Computerland over the last TEN years.Every time, I received very professional, knowledgeable, fast and friendly service for all issues (such as upgrading to a SSD, installing the latest iOS, replacing a waterlogged track pad, troubleshooting/fixing a virus-infested tablet, or restoring a phone that was stuck in the middle of a software upgrade).Turnaround times were a day at the max, usually because a part needed to be ordered. Otherwise, I picked up my devices within a few hours of dropping them off. Whether it was Nermin, Gus or any other technician who helped me, they never overcharged, always followed up and oftentimes did additional clean up work on top to the main problems they were fixing.They appreciate their return customers, include a discount and work on your devices as a priority at no additional cost.I cannot recommend Computerland enough. Brought in both my iPhone 6s Plus and Dell XPS 15 laptop for repairs, both fixed and working as they should. The phone battery was a cheap fix -- $30 -- while the laptop cost significantly more ($240). This was my first experience getting a laptop repaired and I was displeased at the price. Im stingy. I would recommend shopping around for the best rate on your laptop repair. That being said, ComputerLand did good work and I have 0 complaints in that regard. I told Mr Tri Deng I would give him a review for this company, since the expense was so significant for me. I say: Solid work. Would recommend to friends as well as use their services again.

ComputerLand fixed my broken computer in 3days.Thursday my, 2012 MacBook pro, wouldnt load pass the grey screen. I googled how to troubleshoot and nothing worked. After chatting with apple support, they recommended that I take my computer in to a store because it was mostly likely an hardware issue. All of the Apple stores were booked until Sunday or the following week. I saw ComputerLand in Berkeley had an appointment the next day so I booked a time at 12:20pm. The next day, I was anxious to know what was wrong and couldnt wait my scheduled time so I called ComputerLand to see if i could come in earlier, they said that it was fine and I was there within the hour. The Apple technician, Gus, took a guess that it was the hard disk drive that needed replacing. At this point, I had guessed that as well, I had been thinking about replacing my hard disk drive with an SSD for awhile, so I figured this would be the time to do that. He quoted me $370 for the SSD and labor. I paid the optional expedited fee of $50, along with the diagnostics fee of $40 so that I could know that day what the diagnosis was. Gus told me that he would be in contact with me later that day with a full diagnostics report. A few hours later Gus calls and says that its NOT the hard disk drive but actually the cable that connects the hard disk to the rest of the computer. He quoted me $180 for the cable. I told Gus that I was hoping it was the drive so I can replace it. He understood and wanted to help so he offered to replace the cable and the drive for $380 -tax! I agreed and he said that it would be done by Monday. Saturday comes around and I get a call from Gus saying that my computer is ready! I go in and see that my computer has a new lease on life all in 3 days! Great Service and quiet location! Thank you so much!!!

I came in for a broken external harddrive. Two weeks later Im told that they couldnt fix it, but I still had to pay $20 for the service of them trying. I asked what they tried and all they could tell me was We plugged it into our computer, and our program couldnt read it so we didnt touch it. Thank you for plugging it into a computer and realizing it didnt work...I did the same thing at home and also reached the same conclusion, hence the need for professionals. Clearly the wrong place if you have a broken external.

Misdiagnosed my computer and led me to think I had to ship it out for 10 days. I went to the actual Apple store for a second opinion, who then did a memory reset and it fixed the laptop in minutes.

The display of my Dell Inspiron got fuzzy and then the computer shut down. I thought it might take too much time asking for Dells official client service and so went to Computerland of Berkeley for help. They charged me $40 for a diagnosis which took more than 24 hours. Two things were marked on the diagnosis report they gave me: 1 Motherboard problem; 2 Computer still under warranty, call Dell service.I called Dell and described to them the problem my computer had, 5 days later they sent a nice guy to my house and repaired my device within 15 mins. Its the screen which was malfunctionning and Dells staff just replaced it with a new one. There had nothing to do with the motherboard at all!!!So 40 dollars for a wrong report and teaching me to call official client service, I really feel humiliated.

A fire damaged all of my computers and I needed to recover my data. Not being able to do it myself as everything I owned was burnt in the fire, I took my macbook pros to Computerland for them to transfer data to a brand new external drive I had just bought at Staples. Their invaluable techs said the macbook pro that was sprayed with a fire hose while plugged into a wall wouldnt turn on. Amazing analysis! I never got any of the data transferred to the external drive I left them but they did charge me $270 to magically clean a second charred macbook pro that somehow still resembled charcoal briquettes afterwards. Incredible, competent service all around. I could not give them enough stars for their fake services, so I settled on one star.

They did ok by me. Came in right before a trip to swap a screen that was disintigrating (flying the next day). They did it and it worked; for a while; On the next iOS upgrade (1+month later) it failed with some odd error code. Augh I thought.They diagnosed it and found mother board issue and needed replacement from apple. Fast turn around, but lo-and-behold, the replacement didnt work at all (Failure in apples part to make sure it worked). The sent it out again and for the troubles did not charge me at all on the new phone, +1 year guarantee, for the price of the screen replacement.They certainly did not have to do this and certainly did everything under their control to fix and expedite the issue.Thanks guys!
