Had to replace the glass in 3 large windows in our greatroom due to the seal between panes failing.. from time we went to their showroom where they helped us pick the kind of glass we wanted, through the scheduling to have someone came out to take exact measurements , the ordering, to the actual installation of the new glass everything was done exactly on time, and in an extremely professional, courteous and friendly manner. Awesome company, they installed a doggy door 2 years ago, and that was fantastic. then they installed a glass door in my bathroom, and that was perfect. This year, I had them install a screen door which is incradible - I highly recommend their screen doors. also they replaced a window in my garage that opens to let the air out. and thats a nice feature to have... I will only hire them in the future. and the owner is so nice..

Great Northern Window and Door came out to our dog training facility in Redmond (Flash Dog Training) and was able to insert a light kit into our existing hallway door to be able to see if a trainer was coming with a dog from the other direction. Everyone was very professional and responsive. Im extremely happy with the quality and workmanship. And you cant beat the price. After shopping around i found this company was by far the best price. I paid 1300 for the window i had replaced and all of the other companies quoted me at least 2000.

Last summer we hired Great Northern to replace all of the old aluminum windows in our house. Everyone that we worked with was very friendly, communicative, and professional. GNWD handled the installation of our patio slider in our 1972 condo with the greatest professionalism. Due to the condos poor initial construction, and settling over time, GNWD was up to the challenge of getting a perfect fit. We admired their tenacity. They also painted the outside trim and had to make several adjustments so that the trim made a perfect fit as well.In the end we had a perfect smooth sliding door that probably fit for the first time in many years. Overall, we couldnt be happier with how things turned out. We will be using GNWD for all our future window/door needs.

GNW has been our go-to company for any window-related problems. On our other house they helped on a couple jobs and always finished them in a timely, complete manner and always to our satisfaction. Built this house a couple of years back and was “abandoned” (not covered by warranty) when the screen door ripped out and we still needed a crank to open a clerestory casement window. These are things that some companies would say “sorry” but not GNW. They are so friendly and helpful. They fixed both problems and even offered to switch out the handles on our Milgard sliding doors so they’d be easier to lock. Cory was our tech and he is thorough and conscientious. A great guy to have on any project that needs fixing. I highly recommend Great Northern Windows!

Emailed this company concerning exterior doors and interior doors. They called scheduled appointment, day of appointment rescheduled 2 times. The guy finally showed up late, walked around taking measurements, said it was Friday so, with a smile, expect estimate Monday. I waited 2 months for estimate after leaving a couple of messages, gave it one more try. Got a phone call saying, I would be receiving estimate either by close of business or next day, great! I received an email the next day, stating do to circumstances with them they could not fulfill my job. WHAT!!!!! Why did you not just say that over the phone??? 2 months for this!! Totally unprofessional, do not recommend at all.

Loved this company. They took great care of us after a hailstorm took out 11 large windows and 2 big glass doors. They were prompt, helpful (and very patient) with insurance, and did an amazing job keeping our house from freezing while changing out windows in December! These guys do great work. I hired them to repair 6 windows. They went out of their way to find replacement parts that were not easy to track down. They performed the repairs in a timely fashion. Will definitely use Great Northern Window/Door again. Called a few places for a broken window on a door. It was an individual pane of glass broken on the inside. The other companies couldn’t/wouldn’t fix and just left me with no options other than to replace the entire door (double back doors). GNWD came out and looked at the door and it was a bit of complicated one (with the trim surrounding the glass) but was able to replace glass. They put in the effort and work it took to get the job done right. They were very professional in all aspects of the service.

This company took 5 visits to complete a simple job when it should have taken 3. 1st visit - look at the job. 2nd visit - technician to measure. 3rd visit to install replacement glass. 4th visit to install the last piece of glass that was mis-measured, and to replace the window hinge they broke on the 3rd visit. 5th visit to install the correct hinge that they broke on the 3rd visit. You get the picture.

GNW replaced 2 windows with broken seals and replaced the stays for 7 of our windows in which they did not work. They did a great job at a reasonable price. They solved a problem that the window manufacturer Certianteed would not even though they were under warranty.

Im writing my first review with my Daughters account (not that dialed in on computers). I had been in search of a replacement window balance assembly. My first stop was Home Depot without any luck, they directed me to another vendor which indicated they would need to order the part., or I could try another outfit they directed me to. When I arrived at that location company was closed. In my drive to the recommended company I had noticed the sign for Great Northern Window and Door. Figured on one more try before I was locked into an Amazon purchase and a clumsy time frame to complete the repair. I was greeted by Dylan and was asked what they could do for me. In minutes I had two new balance assemblies of better quality then OE part being replaced. Excellent service! This is the second time we have used Great Northern. They are punctual, courteous and do excellent work.

Great Northern and Window and Doors really screwed me over! I called them to get a quote for insurance which they quoted $2,040, which I submitted to my insurance and they approved the quote. When I called Great Northern, they came back out to re-measure and said they would call me back. No phone call and I had to chase them down about the installation. A month later, again no one called me back and I had to chase them down again. This went on for several months! I called and spoke to the receptionist and asked what was going on I really need to get his done before my insurance claim expires or do I need to go somewhere else???? She told me If I were you Id go somewhere else!!! Pretty crappy when their own employees tell you should go somewhere else. A month later I starting talking to a guy in the queue at the supermarket and come to find out he works at Great Northern, said he was an installer now going into management, I told him about my experience and he said thats not right! He took my card and said he would contact me next week! Surprise, surprise no one contacted me! After several months with these guys I started looking for other window and door places and come to find out the cost to replace my kitchen window is double what they quoted and now Im screwed because insurance wont approve the larger amount because of the inaccurate quote they gave me. Very frustrating and horrible service! Its bad enough dealing with stuff when your house gets damaged and the challenge of an insurance claim - so much for keeping it local and helping people out in our community when they need help!

We recently purchased a new to us home and there are some trim pieces that are warping from the sun. Read all the positive reviews and contacted Great Northern. They needed to move the appointment, which was fine, and then the estimator arrived several hours early. Also fine. He needed to do some research to see if the parts are still available. Turns out they may not be. I get it, the house is 20 years old. But the only communication we received was an email stating they decline to work with us. No explanation. That doesnt seem so fine. So I called the office and asked the receptionist whether we could get an explanation. She says she overheard a conversation. Ummm ok. I ask if theres a risk of the windows leaking. She says its the first time shes heard of this problem, says she hopes she was helpful and hangs up on me. Seriously? If it turns out we have to replace the windows its a sure bet we wont be calling Great Northern.

One of my springs fell out that holds up my window sash. Called them for help. Jason called me with 10 minutes and walked me through fixing it over the phone. They could have come out and charged me a service fee but he was super helpful. I will be calling them the next time I need window help!
