Place is well stocked, staff is very accommodating. Our van was very clean ready to go when we arrived. Price seems reasonable until the miles add up and these vans are gas hogs but other than that pleasant transaction

Michael saved our trip to Idaho, and probably our lives along the way! Heres my story — ...part of getting ready for out trip to Idaho, with our vintage Aladdin trailer, was to put a trailer brake controller on our 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So I scheduled that to be done at the U-Haul Storage of Vancouver, Washington, the day before our departure. After picking up the Jeep with brake controller installed, we headed to Crooked River Ranch (165mi away), where our trailer lives. Upon hooking the loaded and ready to go trailer, it became painfully clear the brake controller was not working, AT ALL! At a loss as to what to do, I called Bend U-Haul and Michael answered the phone. He was helpful right off and gave some suggestions as to what might be the problem. It was then we realized the controller circuit had a blown fuse! After multiple fuse replacements, each blowing immediately, the trailer was unhooked and into Bend, to Michaels shop, I went. He was cheerful, empathetic and interested in finding out what was wrong with the controller... it took a little while but Michaels persistence at tracing the problem ultimately payed off! It was visually deceiving because the controller installation LOOKED great. The U-Haul shop in Vancouver forgot one critical step in the installation, THEY DIDNT DO A FINAL TEST to confirm it was working!!? They had reversed two wires, and thats why it kept blowing fuses... Michael is my HERO! His dedication to customer service, and doing the job right, is hard to come by anymore. Needless to say, without that trailer brake controller operational, the 7,000 elevation gains, step drop-offs and rugged roads of Oregon, Washington and Idaho could have led to a very hazardous vacation... This place is seriously a major joke. First off, we drove 3.5 hours to get to Redmond, which is where our reservation was. They changed the pick up location from Redmond, to Bend. We called to verify, and pick up location was confirmed for Redmond.We got to Bend, and they apparently changed how they measure their trucks, because the 15 foots of days past are no longer. Now they measure the cab and the box. Additionally, they couldnt find the keys, and the parking lot was so jacked up, we couldnt get the truck out.DO NOT USE UHAUL. Customer service is terrible, the phone is system is terrible, and their trucks are terrible. We got a refund and went with Penske. 4 thumbs down.

Stored my stuff here with the first month free storage and ended up staying for a couple months. Everyone here was super understanding and helpful. I lost the keys to my storage lock and the GM quickly helped me get into my unit.

DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS HERE!!!. YOU WILL HAVE WATER DAMAGE AND SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE IF IT RAINS IF USING THE INSIDE STORAGE LOCKERS. I have had my things in storage for only 2 months. They make you buy insurance. Told the coverage is only $1000 dollars..They send claim adjusters out from Arizona and give me a claim number, spent a lot of time being there when adjusters were assessing the flood damage.. they didnt call me back (insurance or Michael the uhaul owner) once I got a hold of the repwest insurance was told THE MANDATORY INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER FLOOD DAMAGE. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE APPROPRIATE PARTIES. I hope the 60+ other units that have been treated this way do the same.

I usually dont bother writing a bad review, but these folks need some help.... I reserved the largest truck they had 2 weeks ago. This morning (the day before were moving)they call and say they are short trucks. They can give me a smaller one plus a trailer. Not too jazzed, but whatever. Show up this evening and they have 4 of the large trucks. Im thinking, great!!!! Nope, the kid at the counter who could use some customer service skills tells me NO, flat out.Not, Im sorry, nothing....nothing he can do. Those are reserved and we have you down for the smaller one. Zero empathy, not a let me look into this ...nothing! Gonna be having a chat with someone about this lovely establishment 🙄

Decent prices and clean storage units. Parking can be a little difficult as well as access in and out of uhaul. I used them for storage for a little over two years and never had any issues. I just recommended them to a friend and they said it was the easiest storage company to deal with in town and the lowest priced.

Horrible service! Upon arriving I park in front of this sign. I was to pick up over $300 in boxed I had ordered online. an employee yelled at me telling me I couldnt park in the lot and that I had to park on the street. I explained that I was their to pick up an order and he just threw up his hands and walked away. While waiting to pick up my order the guy then was telling another employee about this guy who shouldnt be parking in their lot. I had to interrupt and tell them if they had an issue with me they needed to talk to me and not broadcast it through out the store, and based on the signs parking is allowed, where else should customers park?When I get to the counter I was told that I had to pick my own order and good luck on finding everything as were out of a lot of things. I asked why my online order wasnt ready like the email stated. They dont pick orders for people, thats my responsibility as a customer and I needed to let them know what they didnt have in stock and Id have to come back some other day to see if they get more in.When I went back a few weeks later to return boxes (which they recommend over buying and return the unused for a full refund) apparently they gave me the wrong receipt which wouldnt allow for the return. Eventually I was able to get my money back, but I would steer clear of this place, very unhelpful and disrespectful.

Update: when I returned the trailer I spoke with a very nice employee named Tyler who got a supervisor for me after I told him about the tire. The supervisor was apologetic and said he’d have the manager get back with me ASAP. Manager called me later the same day and agreed to refund the full rental price. He was very apologetic too and said he’d make sure all of the tires were inspected. I’d still be very careful when renting here, but I appreciated them making it right.Beware:They do not adequately maintain or inspect their equipment. I rented a cargo trailer and drove over two mountain ranges. I saw that one of the tired wasn’t in great shape before leaving but didn’t think UHaul would give me a different trailer over it so I accepted it. Noticed the trailer pulling to right on our trip but thought it was due to wind and rain. Once at our destination, I discovered that a piece of tread bigger than my hand was missing from the right tire and the whole tire was bulging and at risk of blowing. The tire is dry rotted!Now I’m stuck five hours from home with a loaded trailer and waiting over two hours for roadside assistance. This delay will cost me an entire day’s pay as I was supposed to be back at work. But if that tire had blown on our trip it could have wrecked my vehicle and killed my entire family. I’m disgusted by UHaul and their “service.” We usually rent from the Redmond location and have never had a problem there, but he was out of trailers.

Ive rented two trucks from them and I was happy both times. The second time a new employee accidentally charged me a cleaning fee. I called to complain about it. A manager called me back five minutes later to apologize and tell me that they refunded the charge. I am very happy with their customer service.

Tyler - this guy saves this place. Tyler’s work ethic is a rarity these days. He never stops working. I showed up in the morning - Tyler is outside working. Meanwhile inside one employee is staring into space & the other is talking on the phone with a friend. I return my rental - guess who is working - Tyler. Who checks me out? Tyler. I hate leaving negative reviews, but the front desk representative was not capable of performing his job. We went in to buy a hitch and rent a small utility trailer. After spending 25 minutes watching the rep struggle to find, confirm, and process the reservation in front of us, he started on our paperwork, and failed several times to input my phone number. He eventually asked me if I would type it in directly. He seemed confused and was mumbling to himself constantly, and did not seem to understand what was being said to him. We eventually walked out, as did the customer behind us. Uhaul management, this individual is costing you business, probably every day.

The Uhaul computer system is always causing issues but he works through it and does whatever ever he can to assure a good experience for me the customer. Five star to Michael.Three stars to the trucks.Corporate Uhaul gets a shake of my fist though..

I rented a Uhaul to move a memory foam mattress. After weeks they charged me 200 dollars for a dent in the back inside of the vehicle... Obviously my memory foam mattress did not put a dent in the vehicle. The manager refuses to speak to me and Corporate doesnt have the power to overide this fraudulent charge. Beyond scummy

Called to get info on a one-way rental and storage unit. The representative gave me a quote on the truck but when I asked about the storage unit, he hung up on me!!! TERRIBLE service at this location. Do yourself a favor and look into the other facilities in Bend that offer storage and a FREE truck. You will find just about everyone else offers better customer service than these guys along with better prices.

It was incredibly busy when I arrived to pick up my trailer that I had reserved via the app. They were speedy in processing reservations and were on top of what they still had in inventory to prevent customers from needlessly standing in line. I used Express check in which helped speed up the process when it came my turn at the counter. The man I spot with was the smaller, shorter man and I really enjoyed his friendly demeanor. I also interacted with another employee who appeared to be new but was also very pleasant. This was a one-way rental to Washington state so Im not sure Ill need to use them again. But if I did, I wouldnt hesitate to.

Drove 1200 miles from Lafayette Colorado to Bend, but uhaul decided we somehow drove 2700 and charged us an extra $600. Been trying for 4 weeks to get it resolved with zero help from them. Will NEVER use uhaul again.

We used Uhaul to move from CO to Bend, and also used their storage facility. Seems like some good employees doing their best working for an incompetent and outdated company.Their booking system is terrible. No online action gets communicated to the front desk, and any changes you make to your reservation go unacknowledged.They charged us for $100 for a couple hour rental (we didnt refill gas after a 12 mile trip so got nabbed an extra $45). Then, a couple days later, I see another $55 charge. Looks like an employee manually entered a charge into their system, thinking we hadnt yet paid. It is truly endless with them. Spend your money elsewhere if you can

I set up a reservation in Corvallis and drove to Bend, to arrive at a scattered mess where the computers were frozen up, employees were bantering about wrong vehicles being sent out, and I had to wait almost an hour for the tech support to walk the employee through the process of registering and re-registering my reservation. They finally got the issue figured out, and then rented me the wrong trailer, with non-working lights. Unfortunately, every other place in town was closed. Hope to avoid this location and U-Haul altogether, if I can help it.

So, we needed to fill a propane tank. The sign says, “propane tank fill, 7 days a week” we went there. My husband stood there for 15 minutes, he had rang the bell, as it instructs. Finally, he went inside, and the guy says, “oh yeah, we don’t know how to do that, so we didn’t come out.”

Made my cross-country move much easier. The service here is excellent. They were able to give me an affordable trailer rental, and install all of the necessary hitch components that I needed. If I werent moving away, I would be coming back!

The whole Uhaul experience was really frustrating. Poor communication, Beat up trailer, bad customer service, incorrect information input in the “contract”, etc. long story short, on a Sunday I requested that I keep it an extra day. The lady in the call center said someone would “message” me a confirmation. Well, that never took place. Since I really did not want to inconvenience them on a Monday morning by not having a trailer they might possibly be expecting to rent out, I dropped it off on my way to work early Monday morning. When I received my invoice it reflected a $20 “after hours service fee”! After inquiring about this, it turns out that since I dropped the trailer off before they opened, they charge me a fee! Unbelievable! I will not return to this uhaul. I will likely not even use any uhaul in the future. There are other choices. Good luck!

It was very convenient that it was open 24 hours a day, however the guy that runs it seemed a little unorganized. We had to tell him 3 different times our drop off and pick up time. Overall though, he was very nice and pleasant.

Seem like nice enough people, but dont go there for propane. Their sign says We will meet or beat any competitor prices, see rep 4 details when I told them about a competitor, they could not meet OR beat the price.Again, nice people, but dont make statements that you cant follow through on.

Time is money, so when U-Haul Storage of Bend said that my trailer would be ready at 12:30 I showed up. The trailer was not ready and I was told to come back in 30 to 45 minutes. I come back 45 minutes later... Trailer is finally ready at 1:45 minutes from when promised. Totally unacceptable, but they were friendly.

Have had a few recent experiences with the folks at this location throughout the summer, and have to say Ive been completely impressed! Emily, Rachel, Bill and Manager Eric - all provided courteous, positive, can-do experience. They know their equipment and policies, well-trained it seemed. Excellent follow-through and follow-up in a few different areas. Definitely recommend Bend, OR Uhaul!

My 4th time using this location. I rented a pickup truck to move a couch. I drove for 13 miles total. I was charged for $7.12 worth of gas. The pickup truck averages 19 mpg. Thats ~0.6 gallons, at a rate of $10.50 per gallon. The fuel gauge needle was still touching the “1/2” marker, same as when I left, but they marked it a full 1/8 tank tick on the check in sheet. I e-mailed the manager and never received a response. Ill be sure to go elsewhere. The money isnt so important, as much as them trying to gouge me on a stupid half gallon of gas.

Worst PEOPLE ever went in and reserved a truck 26 footer at the beginning of the week they screwed up and booked a 10 footer , but they new what we wanted because we went out and measured it!!! Long story short we didnt even get a Im sorry!!! So we went over to the pensky truck rental they were closed but the owner was doing paper work befor he headed out to his fathers birthday part !! Well lets just say this man didnt have to help us but he did and went out of his way to do so!!! Good people that cared for us!!! Sooo Id say if you have to rent a uhaul dont bother renting from these horrible people!!!

This has to be the most rude group of people in the U-Haul Company...you wait on hold for 28 minutes (nobody ever checks in), and while on hold Im still trying to conduct other business...they get on finally and then I ask if they can give me a half minute and they hung up (I heard in the background they can call back I dont have time to wait for them even though EVERY TIME you call them their greeting is, can I get you to hold, very poor customer service...they are a necessary evil!
