Came in with a stupidly small mistake on my PC that kept it from working, then he saw the absolute monstrosity and spent the rest of the hour completely rebuilding it and correcting it all, and even replacing some missing things! Well worth the money since fixing the small issue and sending me on my way wouldnt have been. I also highly appreciate the kind of business Mr. Gaertner offers over that of something like GeekSquad. If you have a problem and think that you need to buy a new computer ... before going to Best Buy .... or calling the Geek Squad or some other Mr. Fix it Computer Guru .... READ THIS!Because I thought that my 6yr old laptop lost its ability to be powered up due to a plug issue and was also running very slow, I went a bought a new laptop. A friend then advised me to go to the Geek Squad for help before opening the new laptop. I then remembered Adam helped me previously and called him and brought my laptop to his office. Now, this is critical, I had a new laptop in the car, ready to go with it! But Adam quickly, as in ten seconds, ascertained the power plug had a bent pin preventing the connection to my unit! 10 seconds later, Voila! Bent pin straightened and problem fixed and new the unboxed computer is going back to where it once lived.Since this took less than a minute, Adam saw that it took a very long time to get up and running. He did some computer analyzing and explained why: The units mechanical Hard Drive wasnt performing as it should. Why? Its a mechanical Hard Drive and old! And like anything that is mechanical it has moving parts and functions that sometimes dont perform well after time.Solution: A new computer? No!Adam suggested that he replace the old mechanical drive with a larger Solid State Hard Drive and he had one! I quickly think that maybe its better to just go new ... after all, this laptop is 6 yrs old. I asked a few logical questions (cost and performance, etc) and what he quoted me accelerated my return of the unboxed laptop in the car. Savings? Over $300.00 and my old laptop is performing as if its new but with a new Solid State HD! Plus he did what computer geniuss do and cleaned up this and did that ... and now all is well.Plus, he is a pleasure to deal with ... explains everything in easy to understand terms and NEVER pressures you! And for all he did and in a short amount of time ... his charge was more than reasonable.

This is THE GUY, look no further. My battery blew up in my Apple laptop pro. I took it to Best Buy to have it fixed, they reported the screws were too tight due to the bulging battery. Gaertner laughed at this situation. He put in a new battery and suggested a new hard drive which made it 5x faster. My laptop is a 2009, so it was due. I had given up on my laptop, thinking I had to loose all my saved data. Im a very happy customer. Oh yeah super good prices to boot.

My son cracked my laptop screen and I needed our laptop to work as we had a important deadline to meet. I called around town and many other computer places said they had to take it for almost a week and would have to order the parts which may cost just as much as the laptop. I called Adam and told him exactly what was going on and he said it’s 100% your screen and told me he had the part in stock and installed the replacement in less than 15 minutes for $100!! This guy is the man! Great service, lucky to have him in this town!

My mother had fallen for one of those on-line scams. Fortunately we caught before any serious harm was done, and the cost couldve been a lot worse. She did however let them onto her computer so I just unplugged it as soon as I realized what she had done. I called a couple other computer repair places (that showed up first on the list) and got some quotes ranging from $110-=$150, and the scheduling was anywhere from several days out to a couple weeks out. :( I called Gaertner and spoke with Adam. He immediately started to walk me through some steps to try and fix it right then over the phone. His customer service was outstanding and his help seemed to have fixed the computer. It has been on now for three days without an issue. It was a quick 5 minute fix with no charge!! Now that is honest!! Nothing more was necessary. I can say that if/when we need any computer work done this is the place to go hands down. Finding someone to trust with your computer can be a bit stressful, and you dont have to worry about that here. :) Thank you for the HELP!!

My computer that I use for my job got a nasty virus. I lost everything and was devastated. I had a great experience with Adam, the owner. He was calm, which I needed, professional, which I respected and an expert in computer repair, which is what we all need in that situation. After calling around Bend and talking to different people about some computer troubles I was having I decided to go with Adam at Gaertner PC. Out of everyone I spoke with over the phone, Adam sounded the most confident about what the problem might be and that he could take care of it. So I brought my computer in and he immediately started taking a look and showing me different things going on inside my computer. He took the time to explain some different issues and it all made sense. Ultimately it came down to my computer having a bad power supply which he was able to have quickly replaced. He also took care of the malware and different things that had been plaguing this particular computer. So ultimately, for about $130 I ended up with a computer that works better then ever. It had been sitting in the garage as I couldnt figure out how to get it running smoothly again. I was so happy with the whole experience I brought in an old iMac for Adam to take care of as well. Now Ive worked with a couple different companies that had IT departments and although the guys have always been great, Adam is the best Ive every worked with. The fact that he also very reasonable cost wise and actually less then some of the alternatives makes Adam my go-to now for all computer related help. Even if youre not 100% sure about giving Adam a try, do like I did a call a few places, but then be SURE you call Adam and he what he has to say. I think youre be very impressed! :)

I have used several other pc repair facilities around town with varied success. Adam is by far the best I have come across. We had a desktop PC that was about 8 years old that I was going to toss. However we did have a function at our business where this PC could still help us out except it was so bogged down it could barely do anything but crash. Adam had a coupon special advertising - dont throw out that old PC, let us bring it back to life! We gave it to him not expecting much but hoping to have a usable PC. Wow! When we got that computer back it was faster than the computer we just bought about 8 months prior. Adam Gaertners service is faster, friendlier and less $ than Paul the Computer Guy.My desktop wouldnt start after a power outage.We googled computer service in Bend, Oregonand took it to Paul The Computer Guy, who set a start price of $65 to run diagnostics, and told me it would be at least a week and a half return time! because they have to do in order of computers brought in, so mine to end of line, (though odd, they seemed to be helping the woman in front of me as a walk-in?)So I called Gaertner PC , who had fewer online reviews, but better rated ones, (4.9 stars instead of 4.4),and Adam Von Gaertner immediately helped me on my arrival: took apart my computer and diagnosed the problem: the surge protector knobs on my mother board had all swollen and some were leaking fluid: I would need a new board, but the price of that wasnt worth the price of my 10-year-old computer, so Adam listened to what I wanted out of a computer, and got online with me and sorted through recommendations and what specifics to look for and helped me find my new computer at a best price; then he got all of my old-computer files off the harddrive and onto USB,and charged $45 total (incl the USB), which was $20 less than Pauls starting price, and all done immediately: the file transfer itself took over an hour so I did leave and come back.Adam Von Gaertner is highly recommended, very knowledgeable and also nice and comfortable to work with.& Certainly we will NOT be returning to Pauls in future!
