I worked with Tom for my appointment. I brought it in to have it looked over and reported some issues to him. I was told that nothing looked wrong for one issue, they fixed another, and “could not replicate two other issues”. This isn’t too big of a deal except one of the issues happens all the time while I drive and I really want it fixed.Tom was eager to save me money, which I appreciated.I asked him for a quote for some other repairs and was told that he would call me tomorrow—he never did.I will be trying another shop to look into my ongoing issues.

This place rocks. Tom is easily the most honest mechanic in Bend. Reasonably priced, he fills up so dont expect an immediate fix. Schedule it and he will do a great job.

This place is great. They really saved our Bacon. Front hub failed as we were driving thru and we were stranded. They went above and beyond to get us in to get us back on the road. They saved our vacation.

Our car broke down along the highway 200 miles from home. Luckily Brandys was open first thing Monday morning and Tom was willing to look into the situation for us. He easily could have tried to take advantage of our situation but was a straight up honest and stand up guy. Unfortunately for us, the news wasnt good, but he helped us with the next steps to help our situation. I offered to pay for the diagnostic services he gave us but he insisted it wasnt necessary. The only way I can think to thank him is to leave a review to tell the world Brandys is absolutely the place to go for automotive needs in the Bend area. When car trouble hits, it can be overwhelming and stressful. Tom and his crew will take care of everything in a kind, professional and honest way. Have no hesitation in choosing Brandys!

Professional, nice shop, good work in a timely fashion. Only gripe was the significant upcharge on the starter I had replaced. Charged me $220 for a $75-$90 part.

I approached Tom at Brandys with a complex issue and not only did they fail to identify and fix the issue, but Tom gave me an already steep quote over the phone which he then upcharged upon my arrival to pick the vehicle up. When I asked him calmly about it, he told me I was simply mistaken, and threatened to charge me additionally for storing the vehicle until I payed (total con). When I respectfully accepted that there was no way to prove his lie (intentional or not) and I agreed to pay, Tom refused to take my card out of pettiness, and made me walk to my bank so I could pay cash (Im also a college student and gave him nearly every dollar I own). Ive had good experiences with Tom and Brandys on simple things in the past, but I certainly will not be going back and I recommend you take your business elsewhere too as this is how they treat even respectful and loyal customers. Im writing this simply as a warning and recommendation to go elsewhere, or at least get everything in his writing beforehand.

We were in Bend for a quick get-away. While on Pilot Butte we ended up having a radiator leak that we needed fixed. After calling Brandys, they said to come in and check it out, even though they were busy. After checking it out, he said that it needed repairing very soon, but we could take a chance and drive home. I liked the fact that he gave us a choice. After we agreed to have a new one installed they fit us in that day so we could get home that night. Went to Brandys to get some work done on my Toyota. It turns out my Toyota had some complex and expensive work to be done, and Tom showed me where and what was wrong. My own budget held me back from doing the work but Tom looked at the car for free and gave me great information on how to tackle the issue. Definitely would take my vehicles here again!
