On July 10, at the beginning of a 2-week dream trip in our camper van, we realized our brakes were going bad. We were able to get to Bend the next day having been told by another business they would be able to help us. However, when we arrived, that business changed their story saying it would be the following week before they could do anything for us. We started calling all the brake repair businesses only to be told it would be anywhere from 1-2 weeks before they could do anything. Then we called Gills Point S. They got us right in, and by the end of the day, they had us back on the road with new front brakes and calipers. We were beyond grateful and impressed with the top notch level of service we received! They even allowed us to bring our dog inside the waiting room to wait with us, as it was raining that day. I would absolutely recommend this business for their professionalism.

I took my truck in to have some front end work done. Tyler and Paul and the rest of the crew did an outstanding job from start to finish. The level of professionalism was extremely high. This isn’t your regular ol’ tire shop. I would recommend their services to anyone in the area or passing through. They have earned my business and if given the opportunity will earn yours too.

I was sent to Gills Point S Tire to have a tire leak fixed. The staff was quick and courteous. When they first attempted to fix the issue they ended up hammering my tire to unbend it and said that considering it was such an easy fix they wouldnt even charge me. This unfortunately didnt fully fix the issue and we had to bring it back to them to have the valve stem replaced, but on account of it not being fixed the first time around they still didnt charge me for the service. My experience with auto shops has been abysmal in the past, and for that reason I was reluctant to even bring it in, but Gills proved that there are still people working to help the customer, instead of trying to line their own pockets. If I lived in the area Gills would be my first choice anytime I needed service to my vehicle!

Was able to get my van in right away to replace shocks & struts. However, van still has wobble and think it may be cv joints? Tires need balancing? Not sure. Need to return it to have it inspected. Would have hoped they would have said something, or noticed, if the CV joints needed replacing? Tire was low on left side and they didnt fill it. Despite that, Paul was very helpful and am happy with the service provided.

I brought my car to Gills for an alignment. The steering wheel is now leaning to one side when the car is going straight. Im no mechanic, but something about the word alignment makes me think things should line up. I wont be going back.

We use Point S frequently for alignments for our shop, and we really appreciate that they always have availability and can get us in and out within 24 hours. Their techs can always pinpoint issues with suspension and we trust them to help us keep our customers cars in perfect running order. Beyond that however, Tyler, the manager, recently helped us through a very stressful incident with a customers car. He was helpful, honest, and took the time to come down to our shop and check out the damage in person. The issue turned out to be completely pre-existing, but we were incredibly impressed by Tylers calm and steady professionalism while we were resolving it. We 100% can recommend Point S for their integrity and service.

Customer service was shocking. I called to set an appointment after sending a request and getting an email response from an employee named Rafael, and for whatever reason the other employee on the phone denied that Gills even sends email responses . The kid I spoke to on the phone was rude the entire phone call and wouldnt even give suggestions for other repair shops. Never call this place unless you want absolutely no help at all.

We paid 3000 for a engine repair. On a old 2000 Toyota brakes and snow tire change over 2 years ago. Were still steaming. We planned on 5000. To do front end drive train and rear end axles. We told them we wanted it rebuilt and brakes tires and make it safe and do all the maintenance it needed. We tookcar back twice once to bleed the brakes. They used used parts on out car and we paid for new. We had to have engine done again for lights on and stopped running. . There work is suppose to be guaranteed. It is not . Here we set 2 years later . Needing same issues fixed. Front and rear end still not done and brakes go to the floor. They kept cheaping out and blowing us off because not s new car. We needed new windshield wipers they told us there not needed. The rubber was fine. Those blades streak rubber on windshield and now are falling apart. We only drive about 1500 to 2000 miles a year. Time for oil change. We told them to change all belts hoses and filters they did not and charged us in end 3000. We can buy a 2005 toyota for what we paid for repairs but we love our van and wanted it. Now we dont have the extra money to repair. And stuck with major engine issue that should have been repaired. Had another mechanic check is work was done it was not. And what idiot leaves air in the brake lines. I would not send my worst enemy to them.Now we have to decide. Buy new car. Then repair or sell it to a mechanic.. never will set foot in there business again.

When getting into the shop, service was quick and complete. Came in for an alignment after a lift install; the shop has a drop off policy for alignments (I do wish you could schedule it). Drop off is easy; pickup with the paperwork was all completed was a few hours later. The prices are great, the place is clean, and they have all the tools. It might be a tad slower than other shops, but the trade-offs make it worth it.

My car broke down across the street, and it turned out it was just an issue with a belt. They fixed it for free in fifteen minutes and sent me on my way. Cant recommend highly enough!!

Went here for a new set of Nokian Snow tires (which rock by the way) that I bought through their online store. They were really busy and the on line guy kind of messed up the time we were supposed to drop the car. Anyway, they made it right and got us out the door that day. I would recommend them and will go there for my future needs.

Wow, do NOT bring your cat here! The kids working here cross threaded 2 out of 5 of the lug nuts which then broke off the lugs when I had to remove the wheel myself after the tire failed. Whatever money you think youre saving youll be paying Las Shwab to make up for their incompetence.

Dropped off my car for a tire rotation, as well as brake and alignment checks. Waited for 3 hours without a call, prompting me to call when they were about to close. I found out that they had not even pulled my car into the shop because they couldnt find my key, although I had told them where I left it in the vehicle. I showed up when they were finally doing the rotation, but had run out of time for the other services Id asked for. They finished and I left, only to get up to 45 mph and realize my tires were severely unbalanced. The only thing that redeemed this place for me was the gentleman who pulled my car back in to the shop and balanced the tires, even though they had shut everything off to go home.

Needed a tire rotation, they worked me into the schedule so I wouldn’t have to wait. Thanks!

The guys here are amazing! Tyler is who helped me and my husband pick out the new tires and wheels for my 2011 xterra pro 4x. He was honest about the products and extremely helpful with getting us what we wanted. The wheels weren’t in stock so they were ordered and came in the next day at around noon, Tyler got me in that same day to have everything put on. They were very helpful, honest, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

The guys werent very nice talking about other people.or companys in a bad way with other customers around. Not professional. I would not go here again and would not recommend it since I got the vibe that these guys didnt want to have to help anyone.

The two people that waited on me were very professional and courteous. The young lady even went so far as to get a tire from the service area and bring it up front so I could check it out. They even called me when the job was done but because it was so late and I could not make it, they parked my truck inside for me to get the next day. How cool is that! The next day the man behind the counter made me feel very comfortable and confirmed, again, that the tires I bought were an excellent choice. I was processed quickly and sent on my way with a big thank you. Oh YES, I will go back again!

I had a tire blow out on me and it ruined the wheel on my car so I just bought 4 new wheels and tires for my car. These guys put them on my car and gave me an alignment. I was so impressed with their pricing, professionalism and overall friendliness....I bought my car in to see if they could check it out to see why my AC was not working. I had a friend install an AC compressor and tried a can of freon which was a no go, so I figured the compressor was bad or it was something worse. I didnt realize they did anything with AC before this so I went to 2 other places that said they could not recharge my AC due to issues and gave me VERY expensive prices ($900-$1200) telling me all these parts they would have to order in etc. They got my car in and within 2 hours had my AC fixed and blowing ice cold air (so cold I could see my breath) for under $150.If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!! I will definately be referring everyone to them!!!

We moved to Bend a few years ago and have had our cars serviced with no problems. Also purchased snow tires and they took time to explain why non studded tires would be best for the particular vehicles . We haven’t gone any where else .Nice job

I went there for an emergency flat repair. It happened to be after a snow storm. They were incredibly busy but got me fixed up quickly. I would definitely go back. Service was great, as was the price. The employee at the front counter was nice.

Point S was so good to me! They were very professional and very friendly! They took care of my vehicle oil change on Saturday and I never used them before but all my friends highly recommended them! I can see why. They also gave me a discount for being a first time customer! They definitely are all about the customer! Dont go anywhere else Bend!

Let me begin by saying that Ive been buying tires from Les Schwab for the last 35 years. This will probably explain some of my dissappointment. I hope everyone considering business with Point S reads this. It is their policy that an alignment is done on your vehicle (whether you ask for it or not) before anything else. Any vehicle needing new tires will most likely need an adjustment at the very least a small amount. This is brought to your attention along with the information that unless you purchase an alignment adjustment ($99) the warranty that comes with your tires will not be covered by Point S. If you develop any issues you then have to deal with the manufacturer not Point S. This was not disclosed in my estimate. I reluctantly agreed as I live in a tiny coastal town 50 miles round trip from the nearest tire store. My car came back to me without the wheels or tires being cleaned, grease spot on the cloth seat and they had not checked the air in the spare tire. I asked for this when I checked in. I feel I was up sold.

Thanks to Tyler for his quick diagnosis and remedy to shimmy that suddenly developed. I had been traveling to an area to cross country ski when the temperatures had been in the teens. Turned out that a sheet of ice I couldnt see had developed under the car and around the braking systems. Tyler removed the tires and balanced them anyway..and knocked all the ice off. No charge..really nice. Guess thats why I have been coming to this tire center since 2000.

I am so glad I discovered Gills Point S Tires!! I have a lovely 1990 Volvo and I do not trust many people to work on it. I had ordered a set of tires at another tire shop in Bend - they were supposed to be in the next day. No call, so I tried to call them three times the following week and was on hold for nearly thirty minutes each time. Time to move on. I decided to check out Gills, they provided me with my options, the tires arrived two days later and I had them installed that afternoon. Tyler was so nice to me and he really respected my car. He put a notation on the paperwork BE CAREFUL OF VOLVO TURBO WHEELS!! I returned a few days later for an alignment. They did a great job, I love how my car handles and I would highly recommend this tire shop to anyone. Thank you so much.

Always nice to me, bought my wrangler tires there, battery, brake pads,and oil charges. I had one situation happen that was no positive but I told the manager and he took care of me by reducing my cost of my last oil change. I like that they rotate my tires, check the air and get my vehicle ready for safe road trips. Thank you... excellent customer service!!

Gills is an awesome place to take your car. I’ve brought my car in for multiple oil changes and have bought tires from them on several occasions. They’re always so nice and fast! I highly recommend them for anything you need for your vehicle.

I purchased new winter tires and had them aligned...over two different days. Both tasks were done without a long wait and in the time they told me it would be completed. Each time I go there, I am met with friendly and very helpful staff.

Their website for ordering tires is very informational and user-friendly, however, I would strongly recommend calling them instead. The website allowed me to order and to schedule an appointment for installment but in actuality no appointment was set. When I called the morning of my appointment to check in regarding my order/appointment, I was told that they are booked up for the day and that its only first come first serve. I was also scolded a bit for using their website at all... so again, I highly suggest calling them.

Went in with an alternator reading low on the dash. They checked it out for free. Everything checked out fine. They could have charged me for a new alternator but didnt. Nice to fine a honest place. Nice people with a good sense of humor.

Very friendly and helpful. They answered right at 8:00am when they opened, unlike some other places I tried to call. I was able to come right in and get the new tires I needed.

I would not even rate this one star. Girl was sleeping behind counter, didnt even greet us. One car in bay, were too busy. Two hour wait. Needless to say we drove on.

Made appointment and ordered online, showed up and the tires weren’t even in yet. They talked us into something they had. Had an appointment for 10am, didn’t get a call to pick it up until 5:30pm. I get it, they don’t control shipping but a call to let me know not to show up would have been appreciated.Overall I was not impressed with them and don’t intend to go back.

Fixed a flat in my tire in about 30 minutesI am very picky about my car and will not bring it to any other place in bend for anything wheel or tire related, these guys know their stuff!

Tyler helped me with the purchase of 4 Toyo tires for my Toyota Tundra. He was very efficient in taking good care of my truck and installed the tires in 1 hour. I think the service is amazing!

After a pretty severe mix up with one of the employees not knowing what the other was doing, once again I was helped and everything got sorted out. Needed a tractor tire repaired quickly, Tyler (?) I believe was behind the counter and saw that I was desperate to get this repaired as we had people waiting on this peice of equipment to be able to do their job. He personally jumped on the job and got it handled faster than I could have ever expected. They will be getting more business from me thats for sure.

This was my second return visit to Gills Point S after my initial visit. I had usually previously taken my cars to Les Schwab for oil changes and other maintenance, but after trying Gills I found I like the whole experience better. The drop-in wait is usually not long, the waiting area is comfortable and not over-crowded, and I feel like I get attentive service by honest professionals who do great work on my cars.

Recently had 4 all season tires installed on our. We were heading out of town and needed ASAP. They got the tires in on Wednesday in late afternoon and they installed them immediately. We were on the road early the next day.....what a difference they made. Plan on having more services done there. Brake job is next.

Most of my visits have been 5 stars but this last time there were 2 guys at the counter and both were on the phones and I was in a rush and they could see and also hear me talking to the person with me. Niether guy called for backup help nor did they put their calls on hold for a quick moment to get me checked out and on my way. When they finally checked me out it took about 2 minutes. I felt leaving a stressed customer at the counter was inappropriate without at least holding a call and asking how they could help me.

Ive been taking both my wifes and my car to Nelson tire Factory for several years to get our tires swapped out seasonally. Once they became Point S Tire, the service picked up tremendously and with the addition of Joe, the customer experience has picked up as well. They are understandably busy but still take time to explain things related to your service. I started taking my wifes Jaguar there for regular service and well as brake service. Once when the Jag took an extra day due to a part not arriving from the warehouse, Joe discounted the bill to compensate us. Stellar customer service!!

There I was at 8 am on a friday, in immediate need of 4 new tires for my 2012 WRX, I called them the second they opened, and Tyler picked up the phone and before I knew it he helped me pick out the best tire for me, and said hed have them out and ready when I got there, and that he did. The waiting area was nice, but with how swiftly they got my tires changed I spent hardly any time there. Overall the experience was magnificent, and Tyler was a top tier representative

They saved me over $1000 from all other quotes I received in town ($2,000 lower than the Mercedes Delaership quote!) and when I had an issue with my ball joint they took the time to find the right part at the best price. I have a better taste in my mouth as of today about doing business with Point S tire of Bend. I was a Nelson tire factory customer for many years and recommended them to many locals.. Until, I went in to switch winter to spring tires. This was about when the change in name occurred as well as employees. Very sad to say Dan left but glad to say Nate is doing a good job. Tires I had bought new in the spring of 2016, were not wearing well, there is a lot of story to this, but the bottom line is that I was given new tires of a much better quality free of charge to compensate for my unhappiness. Now that is how you run a business, excellent job Nate.. I told him I will now speak better of point S tire in Bend.

The crew was nice but I was chapped the cost for a mount and balance was the same as swapping tires in the mounted rims.

Most of the employees smoke weed while working their and performing maintenance on your vehicles, saw it when I was having a tire change over for my wife was walking around and Bam !!! 3 guys smoking around a green ford ranger.. Couldnt believe it had my 2 yr old son with me.. As I waited in astonishment being a very non confrontional guy drove my SUV to les Schwab who notifies me of loose lug nuts. Ive never been so thankful please be careful where you take your vehicle love for all

The guys at Point S were fast, efficient and did a great job replacing the front wheel bearings and hub assembly on our SUV. I would recommend this group to anyone that wants it done right.

I had a set of airbag suspension installed and they got right on it although we where in the middle of a crazy snow storm. The work was done fast and professionaly. Highly recommend using these guys.

This location used to be Bend Tire Factory. Dont be confused, this place is now an overpriced chain. They charged me $179.08 to mount/balance 4 tires, and didnt even have to dispose of the 4 old tires! I went back to get a quote on a set of tires for another vehicle. They quoted me $920. I told them Discount Tire was offering the same tires online for $680, and they told me a complete lie that Discount Tires online price was wrong, that pricing had gone up in the new year, and that if I ordered from Discount Tire they would try to back out of that price. I ordered from Discount Tire and paid $680. I cant believe these guys are in business.

I just wanted to thank Brad and the staff for taking care of me. I needed new wheels but wasnt ready for new tires yet. Brad hooked me up with a good deal on the exact wheels I wanted. Ill be back when im ready for tires .

My wife went in to get our seasonal tires swapped out for winter. These people tried to up-sale my wife on new winter tires, ours only have about 3000 miles on them. Then they proceeded to tell her that we would need new summer tires too, we just got the tires 3 months ago and they have about 2000 miles on them. If you are in the market for anything to do with tires please stay away from here. If you are not a car person, this is a stereotypical old school tire shop that tries to take advantage of anyone they can that doesnt know any better. Fortunately my wife was wise enough to give these crooks an ear full and walk out to get service somewhere else.These guys have some good reviews from their good ol boys club that they take care of. We will stick with the big box companies that became so successful for a reason, they take care of everyone.
