Dave is fair and really good at what he does. There is a reason there is a wait to get your car in. Best auto repair shop I have ever used. Had issues with the air-suspension on my 13 Jeep Grand Cherokee and he gave me options on how to address it and literally saved me thousands of dollars in the process.

I live in Rockford and this is the only place I take my car!! Dave Sipes is very personable and you can genuinely tell that he cares about you as a customer and not just the dollars that hell make from have another car repair. Every time I go, if I ask him what he did, hell tell me in plain language that anyone can understand and not just technical jargon. He is very honest and straight forward and will tell you if there problem isnt worth tackling because of cost. Hes very capable and gets the job done right.

Had a great experience with Sipes when I needed my engine replaced. I dropped the car off on Sunday while they were closed. On Monday, they removed the old engine but unfortunately I could not deliver the new engine until Tuesday morning. Wednesday morning at 8am they called to tell me that the job was done! The guys did a great job and the bill was more than reasonable. I own a service business myself and will definitely be bringing all of our trucks there in the future.

I live in Rockford but take my vehicle here due to the outstanding service and honest. A caveat, they are so busy, you usually need to book an appointment a week in advance. My anti-skid was not working, and my former mechanic changed the module twice, which did not fix it. Took it here, and right away they found chaffed wiring. They told me instead of replacing the harness which would be expensive, the could just run new wiring which was very inexpensive. Another time they adjusted my headlights, and needed to replace a broken bracket, I informed them that there were no parts on the invoice, only labor. The reply was, I happened to have one laying around in the shop. Superlatively recommended.

I just posted POSITIVE FEEDBACK on one other page about Sipe’s Auto Repair in Belvidere! Last week, the engine light popped on, and I was terrified my car would stop running. However, when I called Dave Sipe, the owner, he was helpful & reassured me enough, stating that all would be fine, until I could schedule an opening appointment with him in his BUSY repair shop!Just yesterday, I brought my Chevy Cruze in & Dave checked out all my car repair requests (the squealing brakes & slow acceleration when going up an incline). Oh, and that Engine Light indicator? It went OFF a few days before I brought my car in for repairs. Only late yesterday, I learned that Dave drove my car & didn’t feel Repairs of any sort were a necessity! Bottomline, the “Icing” on the cake was to learn that Sipe’s offers FREE estimates! With all of the work that potentially could have been involved, getting a FREE estimate, was well worth it......and, based upon Dave Sipe’s honesty, I will, from this day forward, highly recommend this place of business!
