Ron is rude. Someone in his shop negligently damaged my sons vehicle by smashing in the center of the digital dashboard, right in the area they were working while replacing the shift cable under the center console. He responded by speaking over me repeating, no one touched the dash with a screwdriver. That was never an accusation during our conversation so now Im wondering did someone smash it with a screwdriver? Pretty suspect when hes the one saying that proactively. He complained its an old car and complained about other customers expecting a lifetime warranty which was completely irrelevant to our conversation. Why would you complain about your customers to a customer?! The center console also had broken pieces and is completely misaligned. Ron did say hed fix those. Im hoping my son can trust him to not allow anything else to get broken. Before and after pics attached

These guys are great. Ive taken both my cars in for service. They are straight forward, fast, and proficient. They keep you up-to-date on all of their progress and diagnostics. After trying to get in to about 10 other places, I just happen to drive past this place. I popped in to see if they had time to squeeze me in for an inspection, and sure enough they were able to. They got me in immediately, were thorough, professional and friendly. I will definitely be back.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Went here for a car inspection and they lied and told me that it had a bad stabilizer link bar and failed my car. I was skeptical. I grew up around cars and have changed transmissions and rebuilt engines, so I jacked the car up and inspected the stabilizer link bars myself, they werent bad. I took the car to another shop and they said that the stabilizer link bars were good. I plan to contact the State Highway Patrol to make a formal documented complaint. They also put a sticker on my back window WITHOUT my permission! I will Never go here again!!! Highly dishonest!!!

Went in to get a 150000 mile tune up, my car ran great, just thought i would give it some love. Big mistake taking it here. Moments after leaving the parking lot my transmission went out. never had a slip once. I obviously went back in looking for answers. And they told me that they would have to put in a new transmission that would cost me $1800. Do not go here!!! Foul Play!!

Absolutely terrible workmanship and customer service. Son went there to get his transmission rebuilt. They removed the center console, damaging the passenger power window switch on the console and the digital gauge cluster located directly above, then put the console back completely misaligned. Spoke with Ron. He said he will replace the window switch and work on the console but refuses accountability for damages to the gauge screen. He admitted they take note of exising damages to vehicles prior to completing any service, citing their note of my sons driver side door not opening from the inside, which is correct, then admitted there was NO note of an already broken gauge cluster on the dash because it was NOT broken. I expected better service after paying for a $2500 transmission rebuild the previous day.

This place does a great job at GETTING YOU IN. Which I feel is half the battle with MVIs & maintenance/repairs. I heard a lot of “next week is the first opening” before finally just driving to them again. Well worth the drive. Clean facility. Friendly staff. All around great experience.

I went in because engine light came on, I checked it myself and the code said I had a misfire, seemed like an easy fix. they charged me $750 for spark plugs, I drove home, it lacked acceleration the next day I was driving to work and my engine blew. there are plenty of shops in belton, do not go to this shady place.

I wish I could give it negative stars.... So I took my car into to get fixed because it would not stay in gear. They said it was an easy fix of just replacing the lower linkage bushing, so I paid him $120 to fix it. The next day it did the same thing of not staying in gear, oh also they found it acceptable to zip tie the part onto the vehicle. Anyways we take it back to them and found out they put an after market part on the vehicle. So they want to charge us again for labor and parts instead of fixing it right this time without charging us since it wasn’t our fault. So now we are out even more money because they didn’t fix it right the first time..... I will never use them for anything again, and I will not recommend them to anyone. Anyone that asks me will be told to go somewhere else.

I just want to say how this company was so amazing with the service I received. I had a transmission rebuilt on my 2014 Nissan Versa Note. And I tell you from everything that was being done on my vehicle, they called me to inform me. I never had to call them on the status of my car, they kept me informed down to the T. Everyone there was so courteous. The quality and punctuality, I just can’t say enough but thank you from the bottom of my heart the service you gave me was more than I can imagine with any other company. Thank you 😊

I had my Hyundai Elantra taken into Belton Transmission a few months back after tons of issues with the Hyundai dealership. Ron called me on a daily basis with updates, fixed my car in a timely manner, and saved me a ton of money that I wouldve spent at the dealer. It was upsetting to me how much I was going to have to spend due to the damage to my car and Ron was very empathetic. I would go again in a heart beat. I cant say enough how much I appreciate Ron and his local car shop!

First, my husband has known this man for a long time and he used to be good to us! We had a vehicle that started acting up on us and took it to A on to see if his crew could tell us what was wrong with it and he proceeded to tell us the transmission needed to be rebuilt. We decided to get a second opinion (thank God we did). The second repair shop told us it was a simple fix and less than $100 to repair. This fixed the problem.Second, our plow truck started acting up and again took it to Ron to take a look. We needed to get a new motor. We figured we were going to have to do that. Ron suggested we use a used motor from one of his friends (which was going to save us thousands of dollars). We agreed with hesitation. When we went to pay for the motor, one of the senior mechanics said he didn’t like this motor. We did NOT have a good feeling after that, but we already paid for it. They put it in and we went to get the truck and Ron told us that it was ready. We asked if they test drove it, they said no. We told them we were not taking it until they did. This was in case something happened, it would be something they would be in charge of and not us. After not hearing back from Ron, we went back to the shop, Ron was at the counter and proceeded to tell us on the test drive the “new” engine blew! Needless to say we were NOT happy. THEN his daughter tells my husband that they did not get it out of the shop when the engine blew. We did get reimbursed for the engine, but had to pay $1400 for labor, even when the engine blew in the shop WHILE they were working on the engine. We called a tow truck to come get the truck to take back to our house. It was right before closing and the truck was supposed to be sitting outside of the gate to be towed. They had it locked up still. My husband went to confront Ron and Ron took off for my husband to have to talk to the other employees. Needless to say they were quick to get the truck out after my husband was done speaking! If the owner will screw people off that he has done work for and known for years, what do you thinks he is doing to others off the street?

I bought a truck from a man who two months earlier had the transmission rebuilt at this shop(Belton Transmission). Within 2 weeks of owning the truck it was slipping gears so bad that it made the check engine light come one. I took it back to them and they fixed it no problem. Then about 4 weeks later I am on a trip to Colorado and the clutch burns out on this supposedly rebuilt automatic transmission which means I am gonna have to have it rebuilt again. I called them and told them the situation and they told me the warranty does not transfer owners but bring it in and we can a look at it. I decided to get my transmission fixed with my own trusted mechanic because why would I pay a shop to rebuild something they supposedly just fixed. Hell no. Then I proceeded to take the receipts from my mechanic and the rental car receipt to the owner and presented my situation. It all came out around $2,000. He proceeded to be a business man who chose to not own up. He was not willing to accept that his shop made a mistake. He called me a liar and blackmailer because I told him I was gonna write a bad review online because I dont want anyone else to have the same experience I did. Needless to say he chose not to refund me any money and has forced me to waste my time(writing reviews) and money($2000) because of his lack of integrity.

A friend recommended this place and have taken 3 cars now and never a problem, never overpriced and they are honest. I took my 2007 Mustang in as it was making an awful ruckus around the bell housing. Not only did they get it in quick, they found it was a dent in an inspection plate probably from something I ran over. They fixed it and didnt charge me a penny. Yep, they spent at least a half hour on it and I walked away with a hand shake. Awesome group of people there.

Best car repair experience ever!!!!!!We are from out of town and didnt have a clue who we should take our car for repairs. They were very attentive and had the repairs done in a matter of a couple of days.

So I wait till Friday July 29 to get my inspection done on car and tagged. I went and called maybe 5 different places and had hrs if not days booked. A friend referred me to Belton transmission do I call they say wait would be 30 minutes and they only took cash, so i get cash go in there is 3 people in front of me thought Id be waiting an hour but was there maybe 15 minutes. The owner was super friendly and so was the ladies there. I highly recommend this place.

I moved into the neighborhood about 2 yrs ago, I was taking my car to random chain car shops and was having a miserable time. I was finally told about this place. I have never felt more taken care of at any other place. I will continue to have my car worked on here and recommend to anyone else that I know that this is the place to go. Not to mention he is extremely nice to military personal and families. he is very understanding.

Friendly, but wont listen to you when you know what the problem is. Told me then main bearing in the center of my transmission was bad when it was an outer ring. Wentn with a bad CV axle they wouldnt replace it because they couldnt hear it.dont know who you are and if you dont know what month you had your work done in they cant help you with any kind of warranty.Ford in Lees summit and certified transmission in Grandview took really good care of me.

A family run business that corporate America could learn a thing or two from. I had a big business transmission shop look at my leaking transmission, they charged to look at it and to tell me they will replace all of the external seals that could be leaking, might have it done by the end of the week, and it would cost nearly $1000. I took it into Belton Transmission and they had it on the lift and diagnosed the single part that was leaking within 15 minutes, and had me back on the road an hour later.They didnt charge me to tell me what was leaking, the fixed only what needed fixed, and was only a 10th of the price and wait of the other guys.

Took our 97 cougar in for an inspection. We passed, however after leaving my brake lights would not go off. So my husband called to let them know and the owner was not very cooperative at all! Told my husband that it didnt happen there and he charges $65/hour for repairs. The man that did the inspection was a very large guy about 6ft 4, and was crunched in the front seat. It is OBVIOUS he accidentally broke the switch under the brake. WOULD NOT recommend this place for an inspection and definitely no repairs since they dont STAND behind there work.

I have utilized this company since they were recommended by a friend and so far Ive had nothing but friendly honest service. My old (very old) Dodge pickup was stalling out and becoming unreliable but there was no check-engine light or other performance issues. Rather than charge me shop time, he drove the truck a few times after i dropped it off to try to diagnose the problem but didnt charge me for that. He only charged me for the parts and the work they did for the few problems we could find.Weve gotten the same good treatment for my husbands KIA, regular updates about whats going on, how long it will take, up front quotes and timely service. For a shop that busy they really try to keep things moving and customers back on the road. As a female who has some knowledge about cars but not enough to work on newer ones its nice to talk to mechanics who dont treat me like a dumb girl. Yes, his quotes are based on by the book pricing but generally speaking, if the labor time takes less than the book he doesnt charge you for the whole quoted time!I have never felt taken advantage of, pressured to take steps I didnt want to, lied to or frustrated by the service Ive gotten here.

Took my car in to get a coolant leak fixed. I called Ron and told him I have a coolant leak of which I think its the water pump, can you give me a quote. He did, I also got 2 other quotes from competitors. He came in at a reasonable price. What happened then was terrible. Belton Transmission AND COMPLETE REPAIR LLC never diagnosed the problem before working on it. Thus, he pulls the engine, calls and advises me that one motor mount is broken of which I authorized to replace. Then calls me upon my getting ready to go and pick it up and tells me it still leaks to which I said what ya didnt diagnose?? I got no reply. He claims its the Bypass Pipe and its another 6 hours and $700. I was in no position to do MORE WORK ON IT, furthermore knew the ROOT PROBLEM should have been fixed to begin with. He scoped it AFTERWARDS AND FINDS ITS THE BYPASS PIPE, to which I DONT BELIEVE IT EVER WAS THE WATER PUMP. Complaint with BBB # 10140988. Upon picking the vehicle up I wanted to talk with Ron. Instead I get to deal with children and his WIFE. The whole time there, he was on the phone, or was he?? Playing a chicken Hawk being hawkish while mrs. does paperwork..............Its not over, keep ya posted. DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING, HE GOES BY BELTON TRANSMISSION AND COMPLETE AUTO REPAIR. Deceptive period. Of which the courts Im sure as the reviews suggest will see it also.

Do not go here for a motor vehicle inspection!!!! They straight up lied to my face saying my inspection failed due to some small things then blamed the Missouri highway patrol. After being told otherwise by friends I called the Missouri highway patrol and they confirmed that Belton Transmission was incorrect.
