Many hands make light work , so the adage goes-Just after Labor Day we put an offer on a dream home , with a contingency clause . This meant we had to sift , stage and clean our neglected over the summer home in less than 6 days to take advantage of a weekend open house . Friends rallied , my son played hooky and cleaned the gutters , our agents highly suggested we get the windows professionally cleaned .
