Spent an afternoon and into evening attending a very special and memorable wedding. We assisted the crew in hoisting the sails. Wow was I sore the next day! 😳

Weve been wanting to check out this majestic sailboat for years, and finally signed up for a craft brews/dinner/sunset sail and went last night. Its a working cruise (although not required), and the crew is anxious to answer your questions about the mechanics of sailing, along with the history of the Zodiac, and the yummy craft brews; brought to us last night local brewery Stones Throw. It was a beautiful evening, fabulous sailing breeze and sunset. While we werent expecting stunning cuisine, we are pleasantly surprised by the super yummy dinner provided by their fun and friendly resident Chef. The Zodiac has other evening, day-long, and overnight adventures, too. Thanks for an amazing PNW Summer night!

Took my wife on the Mothers Day Brunch tour out of Bellingham a few weekends ago. Had an AMAZING day on the water. There is so much history in this tall ship. If you go for a sail, take the time to check out the entire boat, the chart room, and all of that. And part of the experience is learning about sailing. The crew is really friendly and willing to share their knowledge. The food was delicious, and they willingly made accommodations for my wifes food allergies.Cant wait to sail again.

We enjoyed the Friday night Salmon Dinner Sunset Sail. During Covid-19, we are in Phase 2 in Washington State. The crew were well educated in social distancing and sanitizing. Every place that you must share a handrail, there is hand sanitizer on both ends. The cruise was less than 50% capacity, Coast Guard and State compliant. We boarded as family/couple groups and there was plenty of room to socially distance. On this sail, there were only couples. The meals are prepared with plexiglass barriers. The chef is skilled and creates the meals based on local fresh ingredients. Our meal was a $35.00 value not including tax and tip! Most all of the crew are volunteer, so make sure to tip generously if you have the means. The love of a historical sailing vessel is enough to bring volunteers all the way from Vermont! I have nothing to gain from this review, but I suggest that you get away from quarantine and book this adventure. All crew members wear masks, and want to have a socially distant conversation with you!

Very unique, relaxing, and fun. The volunteer crew is really informative. They also make the experience as interactive as you like. Between pulling lines and steering the ship to enjoying fantastic salmon and a cup of coffee, theres something for everyone along for this experience.

Did the two-night beer cruise to San Juan and Orcas islands. The passengers help sail the ship. My group helped tacking, working the top main sail. It was a fair amount of work, but really a great challenge. (You can opt out if youre not into it.) You also rotate through different stations on the ship, keeping watch forward, steering at the helm, reading the charts. Ive never been interested in sailing, but I found this really interesting and fun. (Plus, some good exercise.)Sleeping area below deck is a tad primitive if you dont have a cabin. (I dont know that a cabin is worth the extra cost.) For two nights, think of it as glamping, rather than a luxury hotel. The crew is made up of unpaid volunteers who are there because they love sailing. A diverse bunch, all a lot of fun and happy to share their knowledge. The food is good.

It doesnt get much better than this. I did three three day trips on the zodiac with my school, and it was amazing. The crew was always nice and very knowledgeable. They taught us a lot about the science of sailing, knot tying, and the local wildlife. I would recommend it to anyone, and its worth every penny.

I went on this trip with my school and a few staff members for a whole week. I never experienced something like this and never will. I even tried asking the captains permission to marry the amazing and elegant vessel, as a joke, and he refused. I am definitely interested in joining the volunteer group to do more sailing in the future.

Love being on this vessel. However, volunteers could be more proactive in teaching basic sailing concepts and terminology to make it more educational.
