We had the best time visiting the CBC. We went out on their bioluminescent kayaking tour and it did not disappoint! The glowing phytoplankton were one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable too. Would recommend to anyone of any skill level.

My wife and I did a kayak adventure your thing with Dash the other weekend. We had a blast! Dash was informative and very aware of what everyone was up to and keeping everyone on the right track. Cant speak highly enough, weve already booked our next trip. :)

Paddle boarding was fun - one of the staff members was condescending as if she couldn’t wait for her shift to be over. She also sprayed the boards while my friends were still holding them, carelessly getting them wet due to what I assume is laziness. We felt rushed as she rolled her eyes and complained that it would take longer to pay for our session separately. Might come back here and take my chances that this catty and passive aggressive young woman is not at the front cash register. The fake nice did not hold well.Response:Hello Sara,Your staff member did let us know about the mask policy (which usually business have masks on the premises to offer should they have this policy), but said “you know what, it’s slow - don’t worry about it.” If they had not said this we would be happy to go back to the car and put some on. As I am vaccinated, I have plenty of respect and understanding revolving around virus protocol. In addition, we called an hour before our “walk-in” session to which there was not an offer to make a reservation during the phone call. I will be sure to accommodate your staff and make sure they are so super comfortable next time! I will leave a giant tip and kiss the ground they walk on. :)

We did a nighttime bioluminescence tour here to celebrate a birthday and it was so much fun! Our guides, Emily and Christine, were friendly and helpful and there’s no kayaking experience required. The bioluminescence was magical and I would recommend it 100%. We drove all the way back to Seattle after but the late night was worth it.

Great community resource! Ive rented kayaks here many times. Their gear and boats are in good shape, and theyll help you with any questions that you might have, time permitting (sometimes it gets REALLY BUSY because this is a popular place). Ive taken landlubber friends out onto the water with their rentals, and we all had a grand time.

I LOVE the CBC! Everyone who I have encountered that works there is so nice and super helpful. I have only taken out the kayaks and SUP and they are always in good condition and clean. They do so much for the community. I am happy to have them as a part of Bellingham.

This place is a fantastic community resource; so happy its here in Bellingham/Fairhaven. The staff is friendly, informative, always helpful. We recently took a class on sea kayaking rescues and recoveries with Dash; I learned a lot in just a few hours and now feel much more confident about being on the water. Cant wait to rent paddle boards this summer and check out the bioluminescence kayak experience!

I took a private paddle board lesson from Jesse and it was everything I was hoping for. They had all the gear and equipment I needed and I learned the basic skills and safety rules I needed to get started when my board arrived. He was even super patient and kind when I got seasick and barfed on their board. Im so glad I took the time for class. I was able to get on my board and go out with some confidence when it arrived. Thanks Jesse, I do love this as much as I was hoping.

Had a wonderful kayaking trip with Christine on the Coastal Explorer Tour. It is a great opportunity for inexperienced people like myself and family to get out on the water and enjoy kayaking. I felt safe and confident with our tour guide leading the way!

Spent a decent amount on a season pass and 1/3 of the time weve been sent home because of the safety boat issue. Would be nice to see a bit of compensation for this.

Very helpful and resourceful. I stayed on the linear footage gratis to run an errand. Bring ding. Man these guys are great, and so is fircrest. Took the bus and the drivers were great. Great tofu in town. Wierd convo guy on bus lol, but the wonderful lil lady from the 1940s was a blast to bus chat. Back to the sunset. Oh my, and a dog bar next door with the train station here too. Best spot in town and much more right here. I havent had a lesson yet here and look foreward to going out with the private session. I see a group go out tonight so casual, and an hour later they are whipping around where the wind surfers play.canoetopia, Cheers mariners

Take sailing classes, or rent a sailboat for the day at the Community Boating Center. There is public parking down there, and there is also a public boat launch.
