Everything was great until I went to pick up my car. I didn’t see it out front so asked the gentleman at the desk where it was and he said “out back”. Looked around for 5 minutes and couldn’t find it. Finally asked the person washing cars and he started looking as well. Finally found it in a far lot in back of the property that you could not see from the building. I was disappointed with their lack of professionalism. I never experienced this before at this place.

Service is friendly. However the mechanics are incompetent. Brought my Volvo in for AC troubles and told them it was more of an issue than just needing to be recharged. Picked car up and was told that the AC just needed to be recharged, two weeks later AC was not working. Had a head light that was out, was told it MIGHT be head light switch and would cost $400. I told them that is way to expensive for a MIGHT. I ordered part from eBay for $40 and replaced in literally 45 seconds. It was not the head light switch after all. After wiggling a few wires myself not a mechanic determined it was just a lose connection behind the bulb and fixed in 10 minutes. Bruce cox also quoted me 4 new tires and installation for $900, Cost Co is charging $500. Avoid this business!

Bruce Cox offers customer service that is rare to find these days. Responsive, efficient, honest and they stand by their work. I purchased my Volvo at Bruce Cox in 2006 and they keep it in top shape for my college senior. They have a great loaner program which makes it so much easier to get service on a work day. Charlie is the best and runs a top notch program!

I’ve used this place for 3+ years now with different cars. Every time the staff is friendly, communicative, knowledgeable and straightforward. I was referred to by my in-laws and I can’t imagine wanting to take my car anywhere else. Plus! They will give you a loaner car if you need one/they have one available which is perfect since they’re open M-F and I can swing by to drop off my car before work and pick up after. I trust everyone here to do quality work and check in with me if anything needs to be done ahead of time.

Bruce Cox Imports got my 1997 Volvo running after it broke down, and fixed everything that came up on my check engine codes shortly thereafter. I had cracked, leaking hoses, which they replaced, and they took the initiative to replace other cracked hoses before they started leaking, which saves me money down the road. Much appreciated! They kept me informed along the way both times my car was in their shop. They give accurate quotes that include tax so there are no big surprises. They are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Washing and vacuuming the cars after service and prior to customer pick up is a very nice touch. Highly recommend Bruce Cox Imports!

Bruce Cox Imports is THE best, most professional & honest car shop in Bham. Bar none!After I bought my first “real adult” car after college in the early 90’s (a used Volvo after my 1972 VW Super Beatle), the owner showed me how simple it was to turn off the “idiot light” after an oil change my hubby did at home. At the time, we’d only owned old cars that had nothing so fancy with “idiot lights”.Several other shops I visited in town (before Bruce Cox) all claimed I needed close to $600 worth of ‘check points’…whatever that was…before turning off the light. Bruce said, “Nonsense.” And pulled out a ballpoint pen, poked a rubber button turning off the light, and told me he’d be happy to change my oil anytime for $35 in the future.They also wash & vacuum your car after any level of service…which I love! Especially when my kids where little & threw Cheerios & other food everywhere inside the car. 😊Great employees! Great service…every time! 👍🏾👍🏾

The tech explained the situation clearly and described the work to be done and the cost. I had done my diagnostic homework before taking the car in so they didn’t lay something weird on me. Their inspection revealed a few other things needing non-urgent attention but didn’t try to pressure me into scheduling the work-I chose to forego the extra work. The original estimate was right on the money and they offered a 10% discount on my first visit which was a $200 saving. I recommend Bruce Cox service center.

Great service, good quality, quick service.Fixed a door lock at minimal expense, fixed an erroneous warning light that another shop couldn’t figure out, did an overall inspection and discovered highly worn rear brakes which they replaced. Overall very competent and very professional.

Brought car in for routine servicing (which was performed speedily) and to ask about “low battery” warnings that had been appearing on display for awhile. Turned out the voltage regulator was pooped out, so that the alternator was OVERcharging the battery. (Who knew that an overcharge would be announced as a “low battery”? But there is no “too-high battery” warning, so this is the best the car can do to signal its distress.) Had to send to L.A. for the part, which arrived speedily, but was broken when it got here. Fortunately, where California failed on the first round, New Jersey succeeded on the second, and I soon got my car back. All pretty uneventful. Thank you, Bruce Cox Imports!

These guys are so accommodating, they fit me in at my best interest and a quick one at that, and was also very patient with me bringing in my car for the next service. Everyone was very friendly and patient, had no idea what was wrong with my Subaru and they had her diagnosed and fixed by the next day! My locks were sticking which I forgot to mention but they noticed and lubed them up for me no charge just to be nice so now she locks and unlocks like a new car. They also mentioned what I should do work on next and gave me an estimate, all of it was at a great price in my opinion.

Great service and attention to details for the last 9 years I have been taking my car to Bruce Cox Imports. The Service Department always thoroughly checks my car over when I take it in for oil changes and lets me know when I need a new battery, etc. They hand wash my old 2007 Lexus beautifully and even clean the wheels. This last time they rotated the tires with no charge. They will provide loaner cars free of charge. I have the utmost confidence in them maintaining my car and wouldnt go anywhere else. Their shop is really, really clean. They are the best.

I’ve never experienced such integrity among employees at a mechanic shop they go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction and makes sure you aren’t over paying or getting a service not necessary. Its hard to gain my trust (especially a mechanic shop) and they’ve gained all of mine. I’ll never take my car to another shop and one of the many perks of bringing your car to them is that they always clean your car for even something as simple as a tire rotation or oil change! Super friendly and helpful staff I’ve never had a better experience.

Wow! Went in for a real scary sound, every other shop was busy and the gentleman at the counter was doing everything he could to try and squeeze me in when they were packed. He himself checked my car a few times on his own and turns out it was just something loose! Fixed it right there on the spot for me! Saved me the 100s of $s a diagnosis would have costed me, will certainly be back for anything I can!!

Had the needed parts in shop so no long wait time. And neither issue was directly related.I trust them with my cars and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Excellent service! I have had work done here on multiple occasions and they work hard to have happy customers. I had a sqealing belt after a repair, they replaced 2 belts free of charge, even though one was unrelated to the fix they did. Very happy with their work!
