Joseph was INCREDIBLE. His service was unmatched. We had a big travel day and the LAST thing we wanted to do was deal with a rental car, but we had to and needless to say, Joseph made our experience unforgettable.Thanks for everything! We will be back.

Absolutely terrible location. Was sent here for a rental to wait for a different rental company employee to tell me that Avis was closed today (that he hadnt seen anyone there at all that day). I tried calling Joe who had a post-it note with rentals please call number but no answer. After 30 minutes, I called Avis back who said they called the owner and that someone would be there in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later there was still no one there, so I called Avis back again to be sent to a different Avis location. Absolutely terrible location and terribly run business. Below are pictures of the EMPTY service desk to prove my point.

I have been going to Avis for years and rent monthly. There has never been an issue until I moved to Bedford and had to start using the new location. Since the change I have had nothing good to say. The counter help is rude and blames the customer for any problems on check out. I will be going back to Avis at the Norwood airport where the customer service is outstanding. If I could give the Bedford location a zero I would for sure.

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. Theres no one at the counter and youre sent on a wild goose chase to find the Avis rep Joe. The number provided goes go voice mail and the national avis line just tells you to go to another rental location. A complete waste of time, avoid this location.

Staff is great, and will go the extra mile. However. The Hanscom site seems pretty low on the Avis corporate priority list. They dont send the cars that are needed to fill the reservations that they have. I reserved a sedan, and the only cars available when I went were a Suburban and a pick up truck!

Reserving the car was effortless. Picking the car up was not. There is no signage at the base. I drove around 3 times and finally had to ask where the Avis building was located. It does not say AVIS. Once in, it was shared counter space and there wasnt anyone behind the counter. I had to pick up a phone to call. The attendant was out on the lot. There was only one person working. Everything else was great.

My car breaks down.I reserve a car online, woke up the next morning and am told that they didnt actually have a car for me. Fine, clerical errors happen. I ask them if they will be refunding me the $374. They tell me I need to take it up with customer service.It was their computer system that screwed up, I would have gotten the keys off of them, drove the car off of their lot, and they were the ones receiving my money.But hey, refunds are not their responsibility.So I call customer service. I get told that I need to wait for a supervisor to arrive to make the return. Call back later. I do. They proceed to drop my call.Twice.I FINALLY get ahold of a manager and get my refund. Or I WILL get my refund (for the car I never even got!) In 3-5 days. Hey, at least that is more the credit cards fault.So now Ive got no way to drive to work tomorrow and Im out $374, which means I cant afford to go elsewhere.I would like to note that I worked retail for years, and was therefore very careful to not be rude or take out my anger on the customer service, so I have no clue why I was given this treatmentAnyway, thanks Avis.

Great experience - rented a 12 passenger van, vehicle was super clean and ready on time. Jerry was the Avis representative through the entire process. Excellent service, great price and value for money. Location is wicked convenient and a hidden jewel for car rental.

This location is like a local location but has amenities that are only available at an airport location such as the way to collect airline bonus points which is not an option at local Avis locations. They have a good selection of cars and will draw from at least two other Avis shops in the area if they dont have what you want.

Very disappointing reservation system. I reserved premium SUV at high price weeks in advance, but they got me a full size SUV without any discount.

Got auto upgrade and got to drive Ford edge titanium, good service and cars in good condition!!

I am almost afraid to boast about this because I want to keep it to myself. I needed to rent a car that got a lot of miles-per-gallon for a trip to upstate NY. My first preference was a Prius because I have driven one before and liked it. But I at least wanted something similar such as a Ford Fusion - or a similarly comfortable hybrid. I started this process six weeks before I needed the car. I called MANY area car rental companies and none of them would guarantee that I would get a hybrid -- just something in the class, which meant the size of the car -- not the MPG. Then someone in the Woburn AVIS told me to go online and book the exact type of car and it would be guaranteed. But when I got to the online booking, it was clear that it was still not the case and it was confirmed when I called them back.Finally, I got amazing service and a guarantee that I would have a Prius waiting for me when I called Peter Daniel from the Avis Budget Group in Bedford. They are located in the Hansom Field Civil Airport in Bedford. This is a seemingly small, family-run operation, but they had a lot of cars to choose from and were super nice. I thought I was in another world at a small airport and where youre actually treated like a real person -- not just another renter in a long line of renters. Remember the days when we didnt need the term customer service, because we treated each other like real people? Thanks Peter! Ill happily recommend your company to my business friends from out of town that need rentals.

The phone is always answered by a machine. Nobody picks up the messages. Unless you are able to reach a human being, this location is a bust.

They didnt have the car ready or available when I arrived. I had to wait for 2 hours for one to arrive. Then they wouldnt work with me on a discount or extended drop off time, even though I had to wait for those 2 hours. This place and company is a complete s*** show.
