It was going to take too long to order the next size up in time for a wedding, so I contacted her and booked an appointment a couple days later.Tried the dress on in the front closet of her entry way. Which was well lit and had full length mirrors.She made her marks and explained to me all the work she would do. And how much it would cost, and the timeframe.She was able to make cuts into the dress and lose things up, and redo the zipper on the back of the dress so it fit me comfortably.I am in another wedding and ordered another bridesmaid dress that is too big for me. My dress was originally a size 12 ( Im a steet size 2 so it was significantly too big in every part of the dress, especially the bust.) She did such a great job fitting it to my perfect size. I would highly recommend her for any alterations needed. She was super friendly, professional and great at what she does! So happy with my dress!

Momtaz custom designed and tailored two sets of chair covers for our dining table. They perfectly fit our chairs and are easy to remove and wash or flip flop between original covers, the orange pattern and turquoise. Everyone who visits us compliments these chairs and asks where we bought the covers.

Excellent alterations on my wedding dress, which had to have the straps and overall length shortened. There was separate lace edging along the bottom that had to be removed, then the dress shortened, and then reattached, which seemed like a difficult job. Everything looked amazing, the timeline worked well with my schedule, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

I think the owner is a nice lady. I took my wedding dress for alteration, and after we started the initial cut of my dress, I had a change of heart and wanted to cancel the process. She didnt lock me in the contract and accepted the cancellation, which I think not many business would be willing to do and I was very appreciative.However, Im still very confused why her alterations were ridiculously overpriced. I needed the dress hem shortened and hip area taken in, and she quoted me $400. For the exact same alterations, I ended up paying $210 at the shop that I purchased the dress based on their standard pricing. In addition, it turned out the initial cut she did was quite choppy, making some sections of dress too short, so I had to get it hemmed shorter than my liking.I cant speak for other types of alterations, but wouldnt recommend it for wedding dresses based on the over pricing and the cut she did on my dress.*Update: Based on the owners response, I will just re-emphasize that Davids Bridal where I bought the dress and ultimately had it altered charged me based on their set standard pricing that they have depending on the style of the dress. It didnt matter whether I bought their dress or not, or it had already some layers cut or not. In fact, they had to recut all of the layers because of the choppy cut that was done at Momtaz. The alteration at DB was also very professional and high quality. It was still only $210 compared to the $400 Momtaz quote me. Id highly recommend to do your research before deciding on alterations for something as important as a wedding dress.

I got a bridesmaid dress hemmed here a month or so ago. I appreciated that the website allowed me to book online with short notice but the hemming itself wasn’t great. The dress was a suede velvety type material. When I arrived I was told to change into the dress in a front room that had mirrors. I changed and then was told to stand on a pedestal for the cut to be made. She used scissors and then cut around the hem using the edge of the pedestal as a guide. I figured this was just the first cut and that she would clean it up in the back before giving it back to me. That however wasn’t the case and she said she was done after that cut. I was surprised but figured she must have a very steady hand. So I changed into my normal clothes and was then told I needed to pay in cash because the card reader was broken. I don’t typically carry a lot of cash on me and hadn’t been warned ahead of time that she needed cash so I had to pay with what I had and then go to the ATM for the rest and come back to finish paying. When I got home I saw how jagged the cut was and wish I had just done it myself as it would have been a better job. I see a lot of good reviews but unfortunately didn’t have a great experience myself here and don’t have plans on returning. It was a bummer because I needed quite a few pants custom fitted and was looking for a good tailor to do those jobs as well.

Hamideh is very professional and incredibly skilled. I brought her my prom dress after it had been chewed by a rodent, provided some fabric, and she fixed it for me. The dress was a smooth red fabric and she added the provided black lace over the holes. It took about three weeks and cost me $140. The dress was so beautiful I nearly cried getting it back. I will definitely be returning for any extra work I may need done on outfits.

I went here because of the great reviews. I wish I had called around instead of trusting reviews. I paid 120 dollars for a hem on my bridesmaids dress. Thats how much I would have paid at Davids Bridal. I also didnt enjoy my experience here, she had a sinus headache.

Hamideh was incredible. I went to her because of the wonderful reviews and was not deceived. I got a hem and slit for my bridesmaid dress and I absolutely love it. She made sure I wore the shoes I was preparing to wear in order to cut the right amount and she didn’t cut too much to make it too short. Hamideh also provided ideas and insight for the slit on the side in order to fulfill the potential of the dress, considering it is a maxi-skirt style. Her prices were also amazing. I expected it to be more, and was relieved when the total was pronounced. Lastly, the time it took for her to complete the alterations was beyond outstanding.
