I had contacted Custom Nw Remodeling for an estimate to remodel my whole kitchen. I spoke with Evelyn and gave her all my info. I was told someone would contact me. Two weeks later I called back because I still havent had anybody contact me. Jean answered this time and I was told they had no info for me. She wanted all my information again and told me someone would contact me shortly. Again no body contacted me. I guess customer service is not their top priority. This was a complete waste of time. They are not organized and seams like nobody knows what they are doing when you call.

We used Careys to extend some existing wood flooring into our kitchen and guest bedroom. They did a great job blending the new/old floors and then sanding and refinishing everything on the main level of our home. We had a tough kitchen to work on because of the intricate toe kicks of our cabinets. Im a contractor myself and pretty picky about workmanship. When I got the bill there was an add-on that I disputed and they promptly removed it from the bill. Id recommend them to friends/family.

Carey Custom Floors & Remodeling did another major project for me, by building a new deck. The employees are all perfectionists, and the deck is spectacular. This completely transforms my home. I absolutely recommend this great company.Carey Custom Floors & Remodeling did tremendous work on my Master bathroom remodel, and also the tiling of utility room floor (and beautiful paint work too). Like most people, I enter my home through the garage, and then the utility room, and it is now a beautiful place. It was a bit of a nightmare before.Carey employees completely built a new shower to replace the original fiberglass one piece molded shower, and their work made the tiles I had selected look far more beautiful than I ever imagined. Their work was so beautiful that I kept adding on to the original project, and had the shower tile extended to cover the main bathroom floor and Master closet as well. I could not be happier with this beautiful and expertly constructed project, and I am already planning to do more. They deserve the highest possible recommendation. I went to Careys because I couldnt find what I wanted for my back splash at the big chain store and I am so glad I did. They gave me the special one on one attention I needed with helping me find what I was looking for. I wish I would have gotten my new floor through them also but it was already done and I am already having problems with my floor. You will never be sorry if you go to Careys.

Excellent work fine-finishing what I couldnt on our hardwood entryway. Brad came out quickly after initialing calling, gave a very fair estimate, and the next afternoon Ubi was completing the job. I am happy with the result, cost, and experience. Any future work I need done on my hardwoods, Ill call here again. For now, Ill get to tiling my entryway.

Carey Flooring and Remodeling did a wonderful job in remodeling the shower in our master bath. The shower is approximately 4’ x 8’ with a glass surround. The project included taking out the old tile and floor pan, replacing the subfloor, building a new floor pan, concrete board backing, and tiling floor to ceiling. Kris, the individual who did the work, is a true perfectionist and we are extremely pleased with his work and the final product. Also, the cost was reasonable and no surprises. We give Carey a 5 Star rating and would not hesitate to use Carey again for future projects.

Carey Flooring was able to make my dream come true! This was the vision I had for my new, updated banister and Dan and Louis made it happen. I couldnt be more happy with the results. I called two weeks ago to see if somebody would come out to give me a price quote on the front door and spoke to Evelyn. Evelyn said she would have someone give me a call back to schedule an appointment. One week has gone by and hadn’t heard anything, so I decided to call and spoke with Evelyn again. she said she gave my message to Jean and that she doesn’t know why Jean hasn’t given me a call back. Evelyn said she would follow up with Jean so she would give me a call back and still have not heard anything back. I guess these people do not want my business.

This year Dan and Jean Carey and the crew replaced and restored all our floors with ceramic and wood, remodeled a central bathroom and replaced interior and exterior doors. Their subs upgraded plumbing, installed modern LED ceiling fixtures, replaced every light switch and electrical socket and upgraded our master power panel to modern GFI safety and ground rating.I was a difficult customer lacking in trust and at times overly critical.It’s been a few months now since completion and here is what I believe:We are so happy I selected Carey (their website conveyed experience and friendliness).Dan and Jean are wonderful to work with he the nuts and bolts and she the elements of design and project schedule. If you like dogs you’ll like playing with theirs in the show room.The crew is easy to work with and will solve any problem.Everyone is trustworthy and ensures when the project is finished it is what you wanted.Every day we walk through the rooms, hallways and baths loving everything they worked so hard to make our little dream come true.You will never go wrong if you let these folks into your life and project.

I got several bids before choosing Carey Custom Floors for my bathroom remodel. So happy I chose them! I love my new bathroom. It was a total tear out, with new plumbing and electrical work. The tile work is exceptional. Dan and Jean (owners) helped me all the way through, choosing tiles and fixtures. My vanity is beautiful. I could go on and on. So happy. Highly recommend them.

We appreciated Carey Custom Floors not trying to rush at the end to meet a time-frame, but rather to extend to ensure it was “5 star quality” when they finished. What did we do during the Covid-19 virus? We completely remodeled our kitchen! Despite, The State of Oregon initiating a state wide lockdown, we had already begun the demolition. Dans wife, Jean, is the owner of this fine establishment. Dan kept us informed all the way, about what business would come to our house to do their part of the job. We took the necessary mandated precautions, and our remodel stayed on track. The complete kitchen remodel took about eight weeks. Dan and his crew, did an outstanding job and worked together on the demolition, painting, cabinets, flooring, and tile backsplash, as scheduled. Dan also helped us to get the sub contractors on board, like electrical and plumbing. Evelyn, the office manager was right on top of our remodel process. I would recommend, Careys Custom Floors & Remodeling to anyone looking to remodel or start new, on kitchens, bathrooms and flooring. This was our one stop kitchen destination. We had a fantastic experience with Carey Custom Floors & Remodeling! They are professional, the craftsmanship is showcase quality, and we always knew what to expect during the project.We had a very large project - completely redesigned two bathrooms (removed three closets and an external window to add square footage for the bathrooms, no fixture is where it originally started), master bedroom added a sliding glass door, raised the sunken living room, complete redesign of kitchen including removal of two walls, new tile throughout, new paint throughout, scraped the popcorn and brocaded the ceilings, crown molding, carpet in the master bedroom, there is more I could list here but you get the idea. Our house went from a ho-hum 70s ranch to a WOW this place is AMAZING!Prior to the start of our project we interviewed at least 6 contractors. It is very scary to make this kind of commitment given the scale of the project! Dan Carey put us at ease. His design ideas are right on the money - practical and beautiful. He has an eye for what works. Jean Carey is also right on with her design suggestions, helping us put together color and material combinations that give our home a welcoming feel and the elegance that the remodel deserves. Both of them did this while being conscious of our budget. I never once felt like I was being pressured into something I could not afford. There crews are also top notch. Mitch was fantastic as the primary guy on site every day - there was no construction crisis he couldnt design his way around and make you wonder why there was even a question. And Ginos tile work in our bathrooms makes me wonder if I woke up in a dream house every day.We highly recommend Carey Custom Floors and Remodeling for any project you may have for your home. Worst experience!!! Consumers be warned!!! I scheduled an appointment to have my floors refinished. Dan came out to the house to give me a quote and was great so I made the appointment and gave a deposit at that time. I received a much lower quote from another company the next day so I called to cancel my appointment within 24 hours of making it. I had to call them and email them multiple times where they continued to promise that they were issuing my credit, however it took them over a week to finally give me my deposit back!! The website talks about how their word is their bond, but that was not my experience with their office manager. She could not have cared less about refunding my money in a reasonable amount of time.

Let me say, the end result was good – Chris, who did all the work – was amazing. But getting there was SO painful!!! Let me explain...I had requested a very quick timeline and they agreed to it - but when they sent me the schedule it was for 2 weeks and when I said that wasnt what they agreed upon...oh man. The person I was working with called me and was very loud on the phone about how she would never agree to the timeline I wanted. She repeated this multiple times. I could tell the owner, or someone else she wanted to hear her, was close by because of how loud she was talking. So I sent her the emails with the timeline I requested, her response, and my confirmation of my timeline. When she saw that – she no longer wanted to talk about it. Knowing what I know now – yes, my timeline was not reasonable. But had she told me that, and helped me understand, then I would have been fine. But her passive/aggressive approach was not. And this is just one example of MANY communication issues.This is a small business – only 4 people in the office that I saw – so I copied the owner on all of the emails about the above issue. When I asked the owner directly for her thoughts – her response was “we’ll see you Monday.” That’s when I realized nothing was going be done about this. No apology, no trying to see if there was a resolution – nothing.There are so many other examples that I can give, but then this review would be pages long. I honestly will never recommend them to anyone. I do wish Chris would go to a different company because I would use him again anytime. So while the work was done very well, dealing with the decorator was a nightmare. In my opinion she is very slippery, takes no accountability, and has horrible communication skills.

Fate took me to Carey Flooring and fate just happened to guide me to Jean, the owner. What a wonderful experience! (We had just experienced a nightmare with our painter.) Jean was very knowledgeable and the timing to get our floors done exactly fit our schedule. The quality and professionalism far exceeded our expectations. Great service with competitive prices. What a find for us as first time customers. I would highly recommend the for remodeling work or new construction.

Perhaps the most disappointing experience with a contractor.Their sales engine is successful. We met with the owner; an extremely personable man that seemed to know his business. How far from reality this statement has become?Upon paying the first 50% down, he communicated the process, his availability on site and a timeline. Unfortunately, none of those items were correct. His team even commented that this is typical Dan...Never writes anything down and is only interested in making a buck so he tells customers what they want to hear. Upon multiple requests for Dan to review the final product, he never showed. Even communicating hed meet me at home one morning at 830 and never showed. Brutal!A two week job turned into 4 and the finish work is abysmal. They dropped a tool on one of the stairs and took a chunk out. Their fill doesnt match, the paint on the skirts is different than the balusters and there are a ton of gaps around the new stairs. In addition, the posts arent even and arent square. To top it off, Jean the co-owner pushed hard for payment, rudely so before the job was complete to our satisfaction, seemingly their only concern. The craftsmanship is abysmal at best.Weve to hire another contractor to fix and complete.I do not recommend this contractor.

Beautiful job on our staircase! It was not an easy job and there were some unexpected problems along the way but they handled them expertly. The quality of the workmanship was superb and I couldnt ask for a more conscientious work crew. Highly recommend them.

The herringbone pattern we chose for the backsplash was complicated, so we appreciated the time spent making it perfect. We will definitely be back for our next home project!

Incredibly unprofessional. Poor communication and an I dont care attitude. Asked for an estimate and after a woman came to measure in my home, no response in over a month and a half. Wouldnt give me the measurements or even a ball park estimate. Rude and unaplogetic. Terrible customer service.

Avoid. Communication is terrible and adversarial. Profit on job is their only priority.
