I was referred by a friend and took my BMW to Steve. Waited an hour for my appointment on his driveway because he was busy with his kids. Did a terrible job on my suspensions. The steering was off that alignment can’t be performed. Never come back again.

Steve is the most honest and reasonably priced mechanic Ive ever found for BMW service. I first went to him to get a second opinion after the dealership told me I needed a very expensive repair, Steve quickly diagnosed my fixed issue at a fraction of the price, turns out the dealership either misdiagnosed my issue or was dishonest. Ive used him ever since and couldnt be happier.

I have had very positive experiences with Steve today. I went there to change the spark plugs but he found out it was one of a faulty ignition coil. I did not have the ignition coil he replaced it for me for free. Steve was Humble courteous, polite and very professional. Steve did the oil change service which was not in the scheduled appointment. He is very honest and recommended not to change the spark plugs at this time. This is the first time coming to him but I’ll coming again for brake fluid change soon. I could not be more pleased with my experience here.

Steve is so honest and sincere. He is very open with you and does not try to get over on you at all. Complete transparency which can be incredibly hard to find in a mechanic as many of us unfortunately know. And, his prices are the best you can find around here. I’m so relieved I found him.

Great alternative to the dealer and even other indie shops. Steve got back to me instantly with a totally fair quote. Found a few more issues when looking over the car and was able to fit the needed repairs in on the same day. Patiently answered all my questions and gave me great advice for planning future repairs. Steve replaced both headlight bulbs in my 05 530i at a very modest cost. This car has the headlamps that move with the steering and the dealer was 5 times the cost. I dropped the car off and he swiped my card at the end of the day and I was off.I have two co-workers at Intel who have taken their car here with excellent results...everything from a window regulator to alternator.He also does the regular maintenance intervals too.....texting him seems to be a great way to get directly to him.

This guy is really good - many years st a BMW dealership — now on his own. He totally knows BMW and pricing is reasonable.

I just contacted Steve again. He came recommended from a friend and was pleased with his service. I moved to the east side and after several years of going to other highly regarded BMW independents, none could compare to Steve for honesty, value and overall service. Out of courtesy, I wont mention the other east side independents, but they are well known.Ive had many BMWs and have used the Stealers, along with many different independents in both SF and Portland. Between the 5 bimmers and 25+ years of ownership, Id rank Steves in the top 3.I used to regularly go to Phaedrus BMW in SF. I bring my MBZ to MBI in Portland. Yes, Steves shop is a bit more modest, but his automotive knowledge is right up there.Highly recommended.

Steve did a perfect job on my drive shaft bearing and engine mounts . This guy is faster and cheaper than any shop around . I highly suggest Steve if you want better service at a better price .
