Doug and Paula are the absolute best! Their skills and talents with hair are awesome. While not a full salon with nails and other stuff, they sure make you feel pampered and special. Friendly, courteous, all around superb service! Their focus is hair and they are darn good at their biz!

Google Map is an extremely powerful tool that demands respect for its power to do irreparable damage to small and/or local businesses. As such, reviews should be written with care and reviewed thoroughly before posting.Boy LZ apparently doesnt grasp that concept as his strongly worded condemnation of Hairbiz is actually about some other business. I dont know where he went but I know that he DID NOT go to Hairbiz!!Hairbiz is, and always has been, a private business owned by sole proprietors, Doug and Paula Elkins. They have not employed other stylists in their salon for many years, and thus do not even have an office manager or employees to abuse and/or run through as Boy LZ alleges.Reviews are available to be seen by anyone and everyone who has access to the internet and as such it is important to craft them while calm and sober, and when the author has the time to review for mistakes. In this instance, the very name & location of the business being reviewed by the boy are incorrect for goodness sakes!I hold three degrees in psychology and a license for private practice and I dont need to use any of those, or to even meet Debra, to recognize that her negative and poorly written review is a reflection of HER, NOT Hairbiz!When reading reviews I always take into consideration the other reviews for the business in question. In this case, The Boy Who Wont Give His Real Name and Debra Who Should Be Embarous by all of her mistakes are the ONLY reviews that are less than glowing!During our 30-year experiences with Hairbiz weve seen them interact with their employees and the only thing weve seen is consistently genuine affection for each other and professionalism.Having said that, its important to know that Doug and Paula have not employed the services of a manager or any other hair stylists for many years and as such could not possible be abusive towards a manager, nor run through multiple employees! Over the years Doug and Paula have occasionally had a high school student working with them (not FOR them, but WITH them) helping to keep the surroundings tidy, doing laundry, etc. Ive watched them connect with those young people in an amazing and affirming way and never once have they ever even come close to being inappropriate, much less abusive!Its Doug and/or Paula who cheerfully answer every call and book every appointment.Its Doug and Paula who unlock the doors at an unbelievable early hour and close them long after they should.Its Doug and Paula who care the most about their customers and business, and treat every one of them in an entirely professional, yet fun and personal manner.Its Doug and Paula who were shut down for months on end during the quarantine of 2020.Its Doug and Paula who shortly thereafter were displaced for six months because an inattentive plumber flooded their space, ruining every. Single. Thing.Its Doug and Paula who kept their exhaustion and frustrations hidden from their customers and kept welcoming customers with a smile and a laugh each and every day in their temporary and rented space.Its Doug and Paula who hid the fact that they were simultaneously and continuously dealing with contractors and insurance adjusters, and ordering replacements for simply everything...sinks, flooring,....an exhaustingly long list that Ill leave up to your imagination to insert.Its Doug and Paula who had already started an extensive home reno prior to the flood, so had to live in construction chaos 24/7.Its Doug and Paula who seamlessly flowed back in their completely renovated, spa-like, drama-free environment who deserve the opportunity to provide you with the best services available in this area at rates that cant be rivaled!So if youre looking for a stylist or are considering permanent make-up, its Doug and Paul whom I hold in high regard and highly recommend.Susan Sisco-BerryA 30-Year Loyal Hairbiz Customer

Poor attitudes , poor work environment, The place is always dirty . The owners can’t even treat his employees with kindness that’s why they constantly go through employees . Completely lies and mistreats his manager for over 10 years to where she leaves . They constantly mess up people’s permanent make up .

Debora, Im sorry that after all the time I spent discussing and explaining the healing process you felt the need to write such an unpleasant version of your case. Without going into personal information of your case and detailed history, I sincerely feel that I did an excellent job, considering that I was doing a correction of poor work that I did not do originally. I felt sorry for you and was trying to help you the best I could. My gut feeling told me that you were probably never going to be satisfied, but I was trying to help correct the previous poor work (not done by me). I did explain to you a week after the procedure, that healing is a process and it is normal for some areas to heal lighter than others.. and it is very normal for one brow to heal lighter than the other. All of this can be perfected when we do a touch up 6 weeks later. When I spoke with you (1 week after) you completely changed your mind about the shape and size and decided to have me make your brows larger and thicker. I was willing to do that even though it was totally different from what you wanted originally. Ultimately I decided it was best to refund your money. I have been in the service industry for 40 years and can honestly say that I want all of my customers to be happy with my work. I take what I do very seriously. I have done hundreds of procedures and I have never refunded anyone their money back. You are the first. Permanent make-up is an art and in your case it was a process that required more than one procedure to obtain your goal. I tried my very best and am so sorry that you are unhappy. I treat everyone with dignity and respect and it makes me sad that you felt the need to post this negative review. I work hard and strive to run a successful business and have done so for many years. I know that most people arent aware that these negative reviews cant be removed. I only hope that maybe people think twice before they post negativity towards another person as the world could be a better place if we all just were kind to each other. God Bless You

I had my eyebrows done at hair biz, May 12th of this year. The worse mistake was going their and trusting Paula. She did a bad job on my eyebrows one higher than the other, and one darker than the other. Im embarous to go anywhere because of how I Iook. Yes I got my money back, but I cant wipe my eyebrows and start over. I trusted her and I have to live with this, Ive been through so and this was the icing on the cake.

I had a wonderful experiene and haircut. Excellent staff and setting. 5 stars
