Salon website is getting better at listing styles for ethnic hair, but still has a ways to go.

I made an appointment to get my hair done, they called and asked me to come half an hour earlier, so I did, and when I I got there and explained what I wanted she told me she did not have time to do my hair... after I drove half an hour for the service. I have never been to a salon where they book you, then tell you they do not have time to the service.

I made an appointment on 5/27 for Saturday 5/29 at 3:45pm the receptionist was rushing me off the phone and was rude,like she had something better to do. On 5/28 I awaited a confirmation call for the appointment made, but it never happened, 5/29 I arrived an hour early to the shop to confirm my appointment and the receptionist gave me an excuse they were very busy the day before. The receptionist then said my appointment is at 3:45pm and the hairstylist was with a client and showed me to a sitting area near the salon. I waited aImost an hour and asked the receptionist did they forget about me she frantically act like she didn’t know who I was so I walked into the salon as she is calling my name and asking the stylists if anyone had me, I mean really lady!!!!. A black hairstylist walk up and says the stylus that was going to do my hair was gone for the day. Then I over heard the receptionist talking to a Caucasian stylist verbalizing we don’t want to look bad. The receptionist walks over to me and said we can still do your hair she looking for a part, I’m looking like what? Then she states the assigned stylist had an emergency, so I asked her if the Caucasian stylist knows how to do ethnic hair, she walks over to the stylist and aske her about ethnic hair and i overheard the causcasian stylist say yeah but it’s going to take a long time. SMH 🤦🏾‍♀️ this is so unprofessional, it’s not like I have coarse hair all I need was a blow dry and flat iron. I wish I knew how to contact the manager for the in style salon at Baytown mall, they are so inappropriate and unprofessional!!!!

I love my girl Lupe shes the greatest. She cuts ✂️ exactly what you want off and no more!

Nice people little pricey without telling you your person was a master stylist would have used someone cheaper

Becky cut my 92 year old moms hair this weekend (4/27/2019) and did a great job, but it wasnt her hair cutting skills that were most impressive. Becky was kind, patient and very gentle with my mom. Her compassion was amazing! Doing a great job is one thing, but ones character is most important! Thank you, Becky for your skills, but mostly for your kindness!

This was my first time using your salon and I admit its because of the coupon you sent me. I really liked it and Rosa did a good job. She just wasnt very talkative. I did most of the talking and asking questions. But stopped after I felt she really wasnt into having conversation. Its fine so next time Ill know. Overall, it was a great atmosphere and everyone was welcoming.

Becky did a fabulous job. Ive gotten so many compliments and people wanting to know who did my hair so they could go! I went from super long way down my back nearly to my behind, to an asymmetrical bob near chin length. Very pleased and will be returning soon!

I absolutely LOVE Ping!!! She just celebrated a year with JCPenny Salon and I am SO glad I found her!!! She is an awesome hair stylist/hair designer. I have never told anyone to just do what they think is best - with color or cut. My 3rd visit And Im loving my hair again for the first time in Years!

Amber who informed me that my 4 year old son would not be allowed to be with me while I received my haircut, despite the fact that Im a single mother and my appointment was in the evening. I guess she wanted me to keep him alone in my car? ridiculous. Lost my business permanently.

Cancelled again--1 week before Christmas party! Not the first time either, my appointment for a cut and highlight was cancelled just as I was arriving-due to overbooking. I wont return, just really poor business etiquette and management at this salon.

Went in for a trim and blow dry and I was very pleased by the professionalism, price, and service! Will only go to this salon from now on! Everyone was super friendly, thanks again to my stylist Becky!!

I have been coming here for the last 15 years, they by far have the BEST stylists and work very hard to give you the best results possible! My main stylist used to be Amber Mena, however, she became the manager, so does not do hair anymore! I was worried at first bc I went to different places trying to find a new stylist, but my hair just kept getting more and more messed up! Then I came back and found Lupe Torres!! LUPE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! She took the time to listen and made every effort possible to correct what the others had messed up! I can say that I LOVE HER and will not go anywhere else! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a regular stylist, the search it over, BOOK LUPE TODAY!

Becky did a pretty amazing job with my cut, blowout, and flat iron.

These people completely messed up my moms hair. She told them she wanted only two inches taken off and she left there with a boy cut! She had to tell them to stop cutting! This place is awful, do yourself a favor and stay away!

I have been in Baytown Texas for over a year and havent gotten my hair cut or styled because I didnt know anyone here.. I took a chance and made an appointment online at the JCP Salon at the San Jancinto Mall, because I was going there for the Summer Black Friday sale anyway.. I am so glad I did!! **Elena Pulido,** washed, deep conditioned, cut, and styled my hair beautifully, she also suggested products and tools for my long hair, I will be going back to her again while Im here in Texas.

Now you look like a white lady is what they told my mom when they completely messed up her hair. Dyed it blond not brown and said well I can try to fix it for $45!!!!! Racist and careless!!!!!!!!!

First time and last time I’ll be going here. Had an appointment with Kayleigh at 4pm. I arrived early and was told she was finishing up a client, and that she should see me on time, 4:30 at the latest. I was finally brought back at 5pm, after watching a walk through get seen before me.I requested a balayage and showed her a picture of what I wanted (caramel colored). She was very heavy handed and seemed inexperienced. As I waited for my dye to set, she sat on her phone in the chair next to mine. She had a big issue get my hair to de tangle and yanked on my hair several times.To top it all off, my hair is now an ashy, almost grey blonde with a very choppy fade.I’m not at all pleased with the service and don’t plan on returning.
