Wow. I highly recommend this company. Called these guys at 930am for an urgent pick up before a major hurricane. They filled the truck in less than an hour and my concern was gone by 330 pm. My main risk was the pile of tree limbs and other landscape mess like pallets and they surprised me by even sweeping up all dirt droppings. I took advantage of having a truck and they loaded two chairs, a table, a smoker, a huge stepper exercise machine plus a varIety of smaller items. They were both so professional and personable. They arrived and did a walk through to see what I wanted gone. He listened, quoted and got to work. I could not be happier with service and price.

Very prompt & quick turnaround which I appreciated. I contacted them about removing some decaying sod waste leftover from a yard project on Wednesday, got an appointment with John on Thursday, & it was all picked up by Saturday! Price was very reasonable I thought for the service & the manual labor to remove the yard waste. They even collected it from my backyard! Was worth it to me not to handle a second time & my typical residential waste service company would not take it as it was too heavy. The employees were very kind & respectful. Thank you!!

Arrived with in window of time. Gave price on the spot and it was affordable. Immediately went to work, finished quickly. They didnt take the paint cans, batterys, or an empty helium tank.... but took everything else. Guys were great 👍 would use again.

The two movers did a reasonable job removing the furniture. Movers could have took a little more time to plan on how to remove the furniture without scratching my door. Pricing was reasonable as well.

I phoned Junk King of Baton Rouge on a Sunday afternoon expecting to get the answering machine. To my delight, I spoke with a very courteous and helpful man who was able to schedule my pick up for the next day.Just as I had been informed when booking the appointment, I received a call 15 minutes prior to the arrival of the truck - which was also right on time, within the 2 hour window of when I was to expect the service. Three gentlemen arrived right on schedule. I thought it was interesting that all of them had exited the truck to greet me at my front door - of course allowing for 6 feet of social distancing and wearing masks!! The men were professional and friendly and were ready to get right to work. The men were efficient and polite throughout loading my ‘junk’ (an old couch and an old fridge). I would HIGHLY recommend Junk King in Baton Rouge to anyone who is needing to move, to downsize, to clean up after a weather event, or to those of you who just feel the urge to ‘tidy up’ a bit! Give Junk King a call! Their pricing was very reasonable!!! (Not to mention that they relieved me of the burden of renting a trailer and hauling the items to a dump or special appliance recycling center!). Just a heads up, It’s hard for the scheduler to estimate your cost over the phone. When the pick up crew arrives they will tell you what the price will be according to how much room your things will occupy in their truck. You have to option to agree with the price or decline the service at that time. But remember, your time and the convenience of your things disappearing within a few minutes is worth every penny!!!

Our family home was vandalized. My brother warned me not to go inside the house alone due to the evidence of squatters living there. I called the Junk King because I really needed help to get this house cleaned out.That same day, John called and met me at the house to do a walk through. I was afraid to go inside. But John arrived earlier and had already walked through the house. (The doors were kicked in) This put me at ease...and I felt safe. The squatters set up their Hitachi to cook in the kitchen, their old bicycle frames were in the dining room, and piles of trash covered all the floors. It was a huge mess! Frankly, I was worried that he would look and walk away from this. Instead, John smiled and assured me that he and his crew would get the job done.When Friday morning arrived, John and his crew, 2 dump trucks and a bobcat were ready to work. Even though I was smiling on the outside, I was ready to burst into tears...But these guys were amazing. They smiled and were joking with one another as they worked. This alone was a comfort for me. I could breathe, relax and laugh.These young men were so kind, respectful and hardworking. When they found family photos in the trash piles, they would set them aside for me. So kind. I left the house to run errands and give them the space to work. No need to bird dog these men...they get the job done.While I was away, an inspector from the city stopped by. John explained to the inspector what had happened and the plans to clean out and secure the house. After listening, the inspector told John that he would try to hold off on his inspection so we can get things right. I had a mattress and a box spring I needed removed from my apartment today. The three men that showed up were in and out of my apartment in less than 10 minutes, and were still very careful to not cut corners. For instance, one gentleman was perfectly capable of carrying the box spring down by himself, but still asked for another gentleman to help him so that they could make sure nothing damaged my walls. Again, these gentlemen were mindful and courteous enough to make sure that in the moving of these big items that I wasnt even left with a nick of paint off my walls!I will definitely be recommending them to anyone that will listen and using them in the future as well!
