I requested to terminate our business account after being a loyal customer for 8 years. I filled out their form with an end of service date and emailed it. I later received an invoice for next month. When I called their customer service, I was told that I’m responsible for all invoices until their rep calls me to close the account. Basically I’m supposed to pay for their representative’s ineptitude. I was appalled at the attitude of the phone representative. Do not do business with this company. I’m not surprised to see so many low reviews.

This is my second time making a complaint on the poorly service we receive in our area .. bulk of trash and tree branches has been left up and down the street Im on. I waited two weeks to write this review and I must say they make Louisiana unlivable.. discomfort in our own hometown is outrageous and its time for the city or states to get more involved.my trash will sit there and continue to stack up til someone get involved from the city.

We owned a business and have a trash bin. Called numerous time to get our trash pickup and nobody could help us. Even the supervisor manager didn’t do nothing!!! It was their fault that they missed the pickup. Being waiting for 2 whole weeks and still no service!!! This company is a joke, they just want your money!!!!

Put trash out as normal on Wednesday of last week (9-15-21) because normal pickup is Monday & Thursday at my address. Didnt get picked up last week. Still didnt get picked up today either. Calling 311 and being shuffled around on the phone does no good with their notes on the account with no resolution!Go with ANYONE else for trash removal services.Normal pickup days are Thursday/Monday and recycling is Thursday. Some weeks recycling gets picked up and others it doesnt. There is 0 consistentcy with this garbage company 👀🙈

Ive been calling for over a month about getting tree limbs and other debris picked up. I even made sure it was cut down to the standard size. After 3 weeks of waiting someone finally came but only picked up a small amount of debris and left everything else. Called again was told that they would be back out on 06/12/21 still no one came all Ive been getting is run around and a bunch of lies. Really piss poor customer service. Seems like all the workers they have are incompetent.

My trash can was damaged and my mailbox as well. I;ve called several times to have my mailbox repaired still no response. The driver knocked the mailbox over and the pole out of the ground. Just drove off like nothing happened. Its going on two weeks now. This company is horrible.

If I could give them zero stars I would. They have broken our trash can twice. The first time it took almost a dozen calls to them before getting a replacement. After they finally picked up the old one (the first time), they starting charging us for two cans-even though we only had one. I called to get this resolved, they said they would remove the charge, but continued to bill us in spite of what they told us. The second time they broke our can they never picked up the old one. I recently called to cancel our service with them and we are still having problems! I had to call half a dozen times to make sure the account was cancelled and get them to pick up their can. If you are looking for a trash company, I would not recommend using Republic Services.

DO NOT USE REPUBLIC TRASH SERVICES. This company has a 20-25% failure rate with normal residential trash can pick-ups (this has been an observation over the past 4+ years in Ascension Parish, Louisiana). If I could give this company a zero star rating I would. Customer service takes down “notes” about missed pick-ups with zero follow-through or resolution (they will leave you on hold until they close). Thereby, leaving you with a trash can at the road and no where to dump your trash for 2+ weeks. Our entire neighborhood has cancelled our accounts and has moved to a different trash service.

Tried to establish service when I moved to a different neighborhood. I called three different times and was given three different quotes. They attached new fees every time. I did not decide to do business with them as they were unprofessional and not trustworthy.

We are supposed to have trash pick up twice a week. There has been several times in 2020 where we all (121 houses in the gated community) did not have pick up for as long as 2 weeks straight. Most of the time it was a whole week & we all were calling the city of Baker complaining. We pay for twice a week. We should all be reimbursed for at least 2 months of pick up, that would be about right for the year 2020 & the beginning of year 2021. This past week we have not received any pickup

Often miss our neighborhood for trash pickup. Call 311? A damn joke. Claim ticket number? More laughter on my end. No one cares. Baton Rouge needs to end their contract with Republic Services at the earliest possible opportunity. I am highly dissatisfied.

They’ve had an LEAKY truck empty at our complex for months now. It leaks from the road, all through the complex, and it STINKS. My son and I gag at the smell, which NEVER goes away with the same thing occurring twice a week, for months on end. It is absolutely foul. It doesn’t happen in the other neighborhoods nearby, just here.

I called sanitation 3/18. I was told my pile will be picked up 3/20. No one came. I called the 3/23. I was told my pile will be picked up 3/27 and i was given a confirmation number. No one came. I called back 3/28 i spoke with after hours and was told that sanitation still pick up on Saturdays,but is closed. No one came. I called 3/30. I spoke with Mrs. Holly, which has no professionalism , she said she will send someone out Today or TOMORROW to see if the pile is accepted...find new management.

Very poor customer service!! do not ever ever sign up with them. Charging $50 each can for garbage and recycle bin for delivery and they want another $50 a can for removal. They have left tree debris in front of my house for over a month. Made a request and a few days later I got a email stating that my request was closed. Reason being that nothing was out too be removed. A lie!!! Why would I make a false service request...when a few weeks before yall came and removed some branches. Called 311 they transferred me to the supervisor , they sent and Inspector out now its my responsibility they said to have it removed. Just last week I saw city parish picking up someone tree debris, had more than I had ...I explained to her a mile away from me. Im gonna contact the mayors office or channel 9

There’s a fee for the can, a fee for the fee to give you a can, another fee for that same can, an admin fee, a fuel and environmental fee, fees for every bill, fees to cancel your service, fees for your service cancellation fees, and more fees for your fees. While driving on the interstate 2 lanes over, one of their roll off bin trucks sprayed my windshield with a ton of rocks cracking my windshield. I contacted them and submitted a claim with them or their insurance months ago and never received a call. The crack has now spread across my windshield in 2 places and time for an inspection sticker. Now I have to get a New windshield out of pocket for the failure of their drivers to clean their trucks

If I could give them zero stars, I would, because their customer service is THAT terrible. I am typically fairly forgiving when it comes to customer service (things happen and I try to be understanding). I have had nothing but poor experiences with Republic. They regularly miss pick-ups (either they just dont pick up or they are REALLY late). Additionally, our garbage container was stolen so I called Republic to ask for another one. They tried to charge me $100 for a new container. I told them that I had a hard time paying that amount of money when their pick-ups werent even consistent. They knocked it down to $50, and I still argued a bit. Finally they agreed to drop it off for free. Its over a week later and I still havent received my container. Unfortunately, this is very indicative of the type of customer service that they offer. I am going to call them today about my container and if they cant have it delivered in the next 24 hours, we will be canceling service. This is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. Truly... steer clear!

My mother is 76 years old and she has a schedule in which she does things exactly the same every day. Well on Tuesdays Truck 2011 for Recycling comes to our home, she waits for them to pass so she doesn’t get in the way then walks out and rolls the can to the back of the house. She waives to the Driver and the Young man every single day as they pass her as she does this. A while back it started to rain one of these times and she heard them coming down our street- so to the door she went to watch and wait for them to pass. I told her it’s raining mom I’ll get it this time you don’t need to slip or get rained on. I’m fine she reply’s and I gave up because u don’t mess with her schedule. :) Well she yells my name and says come see- I walk up and she said - She couldnt see the can. So I walk outside and Tim off truck 2011 has brought not only ours, but everyone’s up close to the door by the side of the house. The truck was passing and he waived as always and said hello to my Mom. This young Man deserves a Raise, and the driver as well. He doesn’t have to do what he does, but he does every single Tuesday he goes out of his way to show kindness- he watched an elderly lady walk out behind them daily and when it rained he brought it closer up so she didn’t have to walk out far!!!! They waive to her daily and speak and it makes her smile every single time. Truck 2011 is such a blessing to us and the Gentlemen who take just an extra step to be kind and help out a little old lady means more to me and her than can be put into words. THANK YOU TIM, your thoughtfulness means the world to my mom.

Now that Ive seen their overall 1.2 star average rating Im not surprised Ive had issues with this company. First off, they wont pickup anything that cant fit into a single canister. So if I have an extra garbage bag that I cant stuff into the actual canister then they wont pick it up. This is the first waste management company Ive ever heard of to do that. Second, the previous owners of our home had 2 garbage cans and 2 recycle bins. Ive requested to have the extras picked up as I dont need them any longer, one of which is broken due to their employees breaking the wheels (which has also occurred multiple times). Republic wants to charge me $50 per can for pickup when its their own equipment. How a company intends to charge you to pickup their own equipment is beyond my understanding, especially when one of them has a broken wheel due to their own employees. We said we wouldnt pay this fee so they told us they wouldnt charge us but that they intended to charge the previous owners of our house in order to pick them up, which is total robbery in my opinion. Then they continued to tell us that they would pickup the extra cans on Friday. Today is Wednesday and is regular garbage pickup day. Their employees not only emptied our trash as they should have but decided to take the UNBROKEN garbage can instead of actually picking up the extra ones on Friday as they said they would. So now Im left with the broken garbage can that I cant roll out to the sidewalk. This company is a joke.

If you want to waste your money and never have anything picked up, then you should go with this company! They are by far the worst service company I have ever dealt with in my life. I have given them so many chances to make everything right, yet they still cannot follow through. My trash service is routinely missed and often times I see the driver has picked up some of my neighbors but not mine and a few others. I have never made a late payment to this company, yet they feel the need to miss service when I pay in full. Called to cancel today because I am tired of chasing these people around and the customer service agent informed me that she would disconnect if I continued with my tone. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! If you dont like my tone, then work for someone who actually performs a service I am paying for. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Our regular trash drivers has been missing pickups in our area, I called her and she came out early and picked up Truman st and Florida St .This is a dedicated worker and deserves to be rewarded for going above and beyond to satisfy her customers. I have cancelled my services and requested the pick up of their can for almost a month now. Just like their regular service they never show up. It’s to the point that I am going to call the parish I live in to file a formal complaint. Their so called service is a joke. They missed more pick ups than they made. A month never went by where they did not miss a pickup day. My trash is only picked up regularly once a week, so that means going two to three weeks with the same smelly garbage in front of my house. If you want terrible service and like to throw your money away this is the company for you. Terrible service from day one until now. Save yourself the hassle and go ahead and use someone else.

I called and made a request for my garbage can to remain upright after each pick up. The next week and every week to follow it was perfectly placed by the street. Very nice customer service and even followed up with me afterward to make sure everything was ok.

Just complained with the BBB. Cancelled my service in December and was told not to pay my last invoice for the upcoming quarter. Then I received and past due notice for the bill. Only one of my two cans was picked up and i was told the second would not be collected until I paid a $50 removal fee! HORRIBLE company. This company is an embarrassment. They used to be decent, but starting in 2018 Ive had nothing but trouble. Multiple missed pickups. When I call and speak to the customer service agents, they tell me every time that I will receive a priority pickup the next day. This priority pickup has not occurred even one time. I originally went with them because they offered recycling and trash service, but it is not worth it. I imagine it is all going to the landfill anyway as Ive seen the recycle truck pickup both my recycle can and my garbage can (that was left from the prior days missed pickup) and dump them into the same truck. I have switched over to Dales now (had waste pro before Republic and they werent much better). My neighbors all have Dales and say theyve never had an issue. I really wish ascension parish would get their act together and negotiate with a contractor to service the parish like Baton Rouge (and most of the civilized world) so that this would become a non-issue.

I was receiving service every two weeks with Republic. I switched to Innovative and was able to have my trash picked up weekly for a cheaper price. I stopped my service with Republic and one month later was hit on my AMEX for a removal of container fee of $95. I have tried to reach their local number to discuss the fee, but always transferred to the national customer service. Customer service is helpful at the time and states I need to discuss any issues with their local rep who never calls the number I provide them. Use Innovative. Local company that answers their phone without a voice message. An actual person picks up the phone.

Crushed trash container and keeping going. Called customer service referred to 311. They informed me will take 8 to 14 days before they can replace the container and to just let it stay curb side. They will lock you in for three years and go up on the price every year. If you do not send them a certified mailed letter or 60 days before your contract ends they will automatically renew it for three more years. Their contract only benefits republic. It is almost impossible to get out of and they can raise the price and charge you what they want. Their customer service is some of the worst I have ever encountered.

I have had extremely poor customer service over the past several months. I had a billing issue that should have been resolved since December 2017 after many calls. No one followed up as promised and every time I call it’s like starting over. Today I was put on hold for over 20 minutes! They have actually been terrible since we first signed on with them but I kept the service because of the recycling. They miss trash and recycling pickups on a regular basis. When I noticed that they were dumping the recycling into the same truck as the trash and called to report it, I was told that the truck is separated into two separate compartments - one for trash and one for recycling. Are you kidding me?!?!? I have seen this happen time and time again because they miss the recycle pickup nearly every time and just come back the next day and dump it with the trash, so whats the point? The truck has even turned onto my street (I am the 1st house on our street) and driven right past my trashcan at the curb on more than one occasion! I called to cancel today and sign on with Dales who Im told is very reliable. I can no longer bring myself to pay for a service that I am not receiving.

They go almost a whole month without picking up my recycling, even after I put in numerous request and several calls, they let me know they will pick it up next day and never do. After many years of poor service and ridiculous prices I finally went with a different trash company. I was supposed to get a $87 refund at time of cancelation. Two months later I still haven’t received the refund and the last time I talked they told me it was only going to beRefunded $15 because of obvious hidden charges for container pick up and fuel surcharges. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all. They are underhanded andDeceitful. Hopefully you have options in your area. Even if the other trash company is a little more go with the alternative but they probably will be less.Republic service prices are very high.

Truck 2476 is servicing my area & the truck is dropping more trash than it is picking up , all of the trash cans are knock over & the truck is also releasing trash from the side of the truck into the street this is unacceptable & not what we pay for
