Ive had multiple maintenance issues since moving into this apartment complex. It takes well over a week for any maintenance request to be addressed and management is completely unresponsive when it comes to needs of the apartment. Management has changed a few times; however, it took over 3-5 months for my AC to be fixed only to have the maintenance personnel to place freon twice a day just to keep it cool in my apartment before the unit was actually fixed. My unit is the only one without new windows in the buildings directly surrounding me, and the front desk personnel say they have passed on the message, but it clearly has not been passed on. Window panes being held on by tape just to keep air from escaping while bugs and wasps can just come on in! Would not recommend living here! Price is decent for Baton Rouge, but the management of this place is terrible.

The maintenance and office staff are not responsive! I caution you to consider this before signing a lease. They do not take action on maintenance requests. The maintenance requests are marked completed in the portal but never get done. It is very hard to get a hold of the office via email and phone.

I had a tour with Amanda today. She was amazing and very knowledgeable about the property and apartments. She was very nice and answered all my questions. She paid attention to what I needed. She asked all the right questions. The entire office staff was very nice and professional.

It makes me upset how people make fake accounts to give many 1 star reviews, when this is the best service i’ve received in any apartment complex. Amanda, who showed us the apartment was very nice and patient, considering we took a long time to decide if we wanted to move in or not. The apartments are kept tidy, smelled like coconuts, love how much room there is to park, and the apartments are modern considering it’s not one of the newer ones.

Im really impressed by the staffs professionalism, starting with Ms. Amanda who answered all my questions along with the other team members. I found Ms Amanda very courteous, attentive, she has complete knowledge of everything about the complex, she know her business very well and I’m very happy I meet. I will be glad to do business in the future with them.

The manager they had there answered every question!! For sure, I felt welcomed! I think her name was Malesha I’m not sure, but she was super nice and helpful and she helped me every step of the way. Community IS NICE!!! Based on my experience I’d do it over all Again especially with HER! The complex was super clean, the prices was within my budget. Couldn’t ask for any better

This was a great place for my family to live after a Hurricane. The management really worked with us to accommodate our needs. It made me reevaluate the idea of living in an apartment. Everything was new and clean and I felt really comfortable in the place.

Run while you can!!! WORST managers EVER!!Caution! Do not rent from here the reviews about this place are as real as they get!! the female managers in charge are horrible they only care about their paychecks one of them by the name amanda has a horrible attitude when you request maintenance and the other one is constantly on the phone handling personal calls by the name maleisha. I dont even know what to do anymore because maestri murrell wont even pick up the phone or tells me to get in touch with our leasing “management.”

I toured the property on Monday and they showed me a 2bd and 3bd apartment.I had a good experience on my tour the person who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable about the amenities and the special for the month of January she responded to all my questions with honesty i had a great overall experience and its also a beautiful community.

Horrible management by Amanda she was very unattentive to my questions while I kept asking things, she kept telling me to wait a second please more than once, she kept talking to someone else on her personal phone and laughing.I will not be renting from here when I asked to speak to her supervisor she just laughed and called for Maleesha who only sided with her actions. I do believe if you want to keep tenants you should maybe try being attentive while a potential tenant is asking important questions.

My daughter went to the leasing office for some information. But she decided not to rent from them due to the rudeness and unattentiveness from the managers there, One of them by the name amanda was constantly on a personal call talking and telling my daughter to hold on a minute. she never offered a tour of the place or went over any specials. We tried speaking with a matthews but she only sided with her assistant. Hopefully Maestri Murrell gets on their management because they are losing potential tenants. I also see that one of the managers, amanda received a positive review, seems kind of sketchy considering we had a bad experience from them just recently and left a review. idk seems quite odd, but i’ll let you all be the judge of that!!makes you think if they are just trying to block their bad reviews. I would suggest better training in customer service for management i can only imagine how unreliable they would be if my daughter moved in and she had problems with the apt.they would never resolve her problems due to their unattentiveness! She was so excited to rent from them and the easy commute to work but so glad she dodged a bullet with management!!!Update: Makes me highly upset how people think these are fake accounts or fake reviews, yes we were potential tenants that are highly upset by our experience here by management we are only speaking on our experience and for “good” reviews to continue to show up in order to block out other peoples experience really goes to show that maestri murrell would rather lie on behalf of their incompetent management than to help them better their customer service skills. We are not the only “bad review” management has take a look at the past years or so. if they dont want people to leave an honest review based on a bad experience than train your management office better and I had a horrible experience here but too each their own.

We got new management not too long ago and the lady is absolutely RUDE. We put in maintenance request in October 2019, and have yet to see any thing be fixed. All the manager cares about is money and not the residents. I would never recommend anyone staying here...we are patiently waiting for our lease to be up so we can leave!

I went in for an interview as a HVAC Tech aka AC tech. I had an interview with Malesha Matthews. It was an absolute disaster I have my HVAC license which is the EPA!! It’s the only license you can get for HVAC. She insisted that I needed an Hvac license which doesn’t exist. I asked her if she had a picture of what the license looked like she said no. She doesn’t know what she is doing at all.. which is why you won’t have a maitenance man at your property. I’ve been doing this job coming up on 4 years now and at any other apartment complex I’ve worked for the license I have is what they ask for. I hope upper management reads this and knows she needs to be let go. Interview was completely unprofessional and a waste of my time.

Horrible management.do not rent from this apartment complex last time i went Amanda the manager had her child running around the whole office and throwing tantrums. i couldn’t even get my words in without her stopping to go discipline her child so unprofessional and rude i dont understand how they allow the employees to bring their children to work i hope upper management sees this and does something about it because they are losing potential renters!!

Very unprofessional staff. I called and someone answered HELLO with an attitude and had me on speakerphone with someone talking in the background. After I made certain that I had called the right place, I asked when they stopping showing apartments since it was 4:40 and she said 4:45 AND LAUGHED but then proceeded to say I dont have any apartments to show you anyways. Evidently they have no model apartment. I was interested in leasing since I had lived here before years ago and it was amazing but its obviously NOT ANYMORE.

Please do not rent. Since Maestri-Murell took over the property it has been nothing but a headache; so much so that my family moved out of the property. Upper management (Malesha) is rude, has no respect for people’s time and practice’s unethical business operations. Per my rental contract, we were overcharged for rent and they refuse to refund the over payment. I have emailed the regional property supervisor on several occasions (Christie Miller) and she refuses to acknowledge our contract. I have asked her to clarify why we were being charged differently as per our rental agreement and I still have not received an answer. They leave no choice but to file a claim against the management company.

UPDATE: I recently moved out of these apartments. I was relieved to hear they had new management taking over. However, when I gave my reason for moving out (moving in with my long-term boyfriend), the woman on staff replied, Oh wow, good luck with that... I totally wouldnt recommend that but good luck... in a completely unprofessional manner. This was completely uncalled for and frankly, no ones business but my own to comment on. I do hope this new management handles itself better in the future.(ORIGINAL POST): Ive lived here over two years. I want to like this place so much (the grounds and condos are beautiful) however, in the last year especially, the management has gone down the drain. I have been waiting on replacements for items that have NEVER worked in my apartment since I moved in (ie. guest shower vent fan, leaking bathtub in master bath, ripped screen porch, amongst other items). Management is seriously terrible. I wish they would do something to improve this.

Management is awful here. It is managed by Latter and Blum and if you try to call their offices you will only be able to leave and message that nobody will return, just like the office at Jefferson Place. Every time I asked the staff in the office why they did not notify me of something I had asked about they just asked me for my phone number again! Very passive aggressive. Get everything in writing because anything one says the other might later say is not correct. Soon after I moved in my AC upstairs in townhouse quit working. They said it was not a rush to fix because I could just live in the downstairs part since that AC was working. They have security systems in each apt but I could not use it because the security company needed the management to notify them when a new person moved in or else they would keep calling the previous occupant. The apt management said they did not know how to contact the security company. I had no problem contacting the security co since their name was on the alarm. They did not understand why the management would not contact them with new residents. After several months I gave up on the alarm system. Its a shame about the management cause great location and nice apt.

Ive lived over here for more than 2 years and the area is great. However, the management and maintenance is very, very slow when it comes to repairing. Ive been on the waiting list for over a year just for a simple replacement/repair and there are unresolved bat issues. Yes, we have bats/squirrels entering our attics.

The area is great and the people that live here are friendly and helpful! the management staff on the grounds however are terrible! we had issues with our ac for 3 months every time we called to get it fixed they sent the maintenance guy out and he did what he could it would get better for a day then right back to broken. this caused our bill the be outrageous for 3 month when they final agreed to replace the unit we were told it would be done by the end of the week. 2 weeks later we called to find out what the delay was and they told us because they had not heard from us that they assumed it had started working. (yes after three months it magical fixed its self). after costing us almost 600 dollars extra in ac bills. this is a great place to live as long as you dont have any maintenance issues. the guy who does the maintenance does well with fixing the small issues and does it quickly. but bigger issue expect to wait and it to cost you.

My cousin & I were interested in the apartments because they looked nice and each apartment had a screen porch! So like most people I called and the lady told me that they didn’t have any showrooms at the time but she will give me a call once something was available for showing. So I gave her my number and that was that. Months passed and I still hadn’t received a call so I decided to email,with no response. I used there contact us on there website and got an automatic email reply saying to call them. I finally called again on Jan 31st, which was a Thursday, the lady told me that they finally had showrooms but it wouldn’t be ready til that Tuesday. I get off after they close so I could never make it through the week so I made an APPOINTMENT at 11am on Saturday, Feb 9th. I get there and there was a note on the door saying Attention starting Feb. 9th we will no longer be open on Saturday’s. I received no phone call, no email telling me this! Plus I had made an appointment a little over a week in advance. Clearly they do not care about future tenants because if so some one would have told me about not being open. I left a message that Saturday to have them call me back & it is Wed, Feb. 13 & still no call from them!!! Be very cautious because if they are doing that to me already & I do not even live there just imagine how long it takes to get something fix if you do live there!

Maintenance is horrible. Management is never in nor do they return calls or honor request for repairs. The front of the community is beautifully kept, however the back is disgusting. The maintenance shed area has trash and old furniture in plain view. It’s not fair to the tenants in the back area to live in an unkept area as the front tenants has a gorgeous view. Maintenance sits there and STARE instead of cleaning that mess up......for the price that is being paid to live here you would think everything would be beautiful————NOT

Lived here for for 2+ years. Management blows. The 2nd bedroom doesn’t have a fan/light fixture and they lied multiple times to me about putting a work order in to install one that I bought, before finally telling me the room isn’t even wired for a light fixture. For any other maintenance issues, we had to ask about multiple times before receiving service. If you go by the office during the day you will find locked doors and a “will return soon” sign. Don’t bother calling because they won’t call you back.
