Horrible experience with Computer Heaven. For those without time to read the details, their work processes are incredibly sloppy and their communication is as poor. I had my laptop returned to me clearly more broken than when I had dropped it off and this wouldve only taken the act of trying to turn the thing on to detect it. This was not mentioned on pickup or in any of my calls after a $600+ bill over three months of inconsistent communication.Three months ago, I drop off a laptop with a fan issue and a charging port that requires a bit of wiggling to get going. Three or so weeks into this, Im contacted and told the fan is a special part, and with the shortage, to expect a delay as they receive it from an international supplier. I tell them it makes sense and pay $600 for the part. Radio silence for a bit. I call in a few weeks later and am told they received it and theyre getting around to installing it and theyre basically done. So I call them later that week and get the same answer. This pattern repeats for a bit. Finally, Im told I can come pick it up on a Friday. I show up, thank them, go home, plug the thing in, the battery is at 1% and now the laptop tells me all of its chargers (including the one I left them with) are the incorrect voltage. So clearly they didnt even turn the thing on after they installed the fan, or at least didnt feel like it was important to mention the laptop I was picking up after leaving it with them for three months was unusable.I contacted them the next day, they say to bring it in Monday. I do, they apologize and tell me theyll prioritize it. They didnt. I ended calling on Friday and got the same runaround: its basically done, just need to finish soldering it. Called them every other day this next business week as well, feeling like a jilted ex at this point,And Im given the same thing: its basically done, just finishing the soldering. This continues into the NEXT week with me contacting them several times because they arent returning calls they said they would. I really need this laptop, Im being continually told its a simple fix with only a final step left, and finally, finally, today, when I contact them again, they tell me actually its probably an issue with the motherboard and its going to cost $1000 to replace. The motherboard was ostensibly fine prior to them getting the laptop 3 months ago, and they only discovered this issue nearly 100 days later.1 star for communication for me having to break the radio silence only to get fake updates in response for months, 1 star for thoroughness since I was given a broken laptop back that just booting the thing up after they fixed it wouldve signaled, and 1 star for competency, because frankly, I dont know if the motherboard was damaged in their care or not, because it wasnt an issue they detected until today, and I have no reason to believe them at this point that it was like that when they received it months ago.

Ive used computer heaven for various mac laptop repairs and they always did a great job of communicating, even when they had to order parts they were quick and called me when updates were available. Their staff is friendly and knows what theyre talking about. Recently I bought one of their prebuilt PCs, with the silicon shortage this was the only way to get a high end graphics card. Its a great computer and I couldnt be happier, and the staff member helping me in person was very patient while I made some phone calls related to the purchase.Its a great computer store, with good staff, that wont try to scam you.

My computer was remotely scammed and Computer Heaven cleaned my HP laptop and did a free diagnostic on my Dell. I put their security program called Guardian protection on my laptop at their suggestion. Very affordable at $99 a year with a guarantee that no one will hack me again. If if they ever do, Computer Heaven will make it right!A few days ago I called and spoke to Cerena about my icons disappearing and other aggravating issues which where making it most difficult to work with on a daily basis. She asked me to come in so she could take a look at my concerns. I went the same day and Cerena fixed all my problems within 15 minutes. Tyler also helped me with uploading my photos from my camera and suggested that I use only one cable designed for uploading. It was a service they provided to me at no charge simply because I am a good customer. He even suggested that I put a piece of tape on the end to identify it and not get it mixed up with so many of my other cables.Best place, people and service ever. I even brought them a hot pan of homemade brownies for their help. What more can I say? Its all good.Nancy Mouton

Ive gotten two Chromebooks from here in the past and theyve worked fine. But some months back I bought a Dell laptop for over $300 that suddenly stopped charging and when I brought it there, they said the diagnostic fee would be $70. Im sure I wont be coming back.

Terrible customer service. its been two years since i got my desktop worked on last and i dont know whats changed, but i had a manager talk to me like i was an old person who didnt know how to even find google, also without knowing anything on what my files looked like, immediately said they didnt do anything wrong, even when i wasnt implying that. i just needed to find my pictures that were now gone from my old hard drive. at the end i said im not sure if i wanted to bring my pc in because i didnt like the way the conversation went, and i felt like i wouldnt get any real help, that if he doesnt know what im talking about how could they help me? with that he told me insead that it was me who didnt know what they were talking about and interuppted the rest of what i was saying to talk over me. i didnt get to hear what he said however since we were both talking at the same time. this is the second time i had an issue with bad customer service. the first time i contacted someone and they apologized and such saying i should speak up next time. i had told them i didnt feel comfortable because i didnt expect it to go well, but i decided to do so anyway. and it turned out just the way expected it to. will NOT be getting my pc rebuilt here anymore! spent $600 to be treated like i was stupid. this was on 4/24/21 at 9:40 am. i will be trying to tell the dude i talked to last time about this because he seemed like he cared, so hopefully they get trained better or something. he also pulled the im the manager card when i asked to speak to someone higher than him so i wouldnt sit there arguing with him. he wouldnt tell me who was above him until i started asking if he owned it. then he hesitated and started telling me there WAS someone above them, they just werent there that day. i asked what day, he said monday, i said thank you ill call then and hung up. ridiculous. id rather spend my money where someone is paid to be nice to meUPDATE: i got a call from tyler and we were going to meet on monday. however i did not go because i felt too uncomfortable to go. then i noticed more things wrong with my pc. and went to call again to see if i could get back in touch with tyler. they were hanging up the phone when i called, until i called more and they answered. i really don’t like the feeling i get when i have to call and talk to these people. tyler is the only nice person. i wish they would just get new peopleSECOND UPDATE: tyler was very kind and ended up fixing everything for free. he even brought my desktop to my car for me. he is the only reason i’m willing to come back. hopefully next time i come things will be better

This company provided me with terrible service and cost me over a thousand dollars. I was beginning to have software problems around the beginning of the year that would require a reset or a reinstallation of Windows 10 on my Spectre laptop. I went to this store requesting that a G-Wipe be performed on the laptop. I was told that a DoD-Wipe, writing it in all zeros, would take at least a month with the system on 24/7. I was then told that I could buy a new hard drive which would probably be easier and cheaper. I bought a hard drive to be installed, but was later told that my battery would need to be replaced that it had swollen and would risk exploding if I kept it. At the store, I was then shown a battery that did appear to be swollen. I then brought the old hard drive that was purportedly in my computer to where I resided, and I put it in the blender, which is what they suggested I do if I wanted to destroy the content on the computer. The battery was allegedly several days late arriving. After they finally told me the battery arrived, they said there was a problem with the reinstallation of the hard drive and that the laptop is no longer working. They told me that they would try to fix it. Several days went by and they then told me to come pick my laptop up that they couldn’t fix it. They said that they would reimburse me for the hard drive that they would keep. They also probably kept the new battery. Even though I don’t recall signing a release specifically pertaining to it, apparently I signed an agreement that said something like if my equipment was damaged in their possession, they wouldn’t be held liable for it. In other words, I came in with a software problem and was told that due to a hardware problem my laptop wouldn’t be recoverable. An individual that represented himself as an employee of the company, while he was beside employees of the company, also told me that he looked through files on my computer. I never authorized any one of them, nor the company to do that. This is a terrible company that preys upon their customers and that will attempt to guilt trip you for coming in for a G-Wipe on your computer.

The Place in itself was good. They have products that can have people building their own computers. I worked on PCs for years and if their is one thing to note when building a PC is prices. And thats where computer heaven fails. Their prices are extremely high. I bought a regular fan that was retailed for $14.99 they sold me for $20. That doesnt seem bad. But its their computer parts that sky rocket. A gigabyte B450m that retailed for 64.99, Computer heaven was selling for $119.99. I understand trying to support local and making a profit. But to sell components at over 100% margin level? And thats just based off the actual retail. If you want to build your own PC, go look somewhere else. You can find parts cheaper and build a computer at half the cost.

I needed a computer ASAP for a test the next day so, I called before I went in the store and even over the phone, the customer service was exceptional. I had no background knowledge about computers and laptops, but Shandar was very patient and told me everything I needed to know. I purchased my MacBook Air from there at an affordable price and it was the best decision ever.

I walked in an hour before closing and asked for help with buying a computer. The employees asked me questions, suggested potential computers, parts and upgrades. I walked out of the store with a computer and am finally playing video games with my friends from college that I have owned for years, that were unable to run on my old computer. I cant believe I thought I was dealing with a reputable computer store. These guys had me on a waitlist for an RTX 3070 graphics card for weeks, then when they finally got their order in, they tried to sell it to me for almost double the MSRP. These guys are nothing but scalpers. Theyre literally charging the same price as the scalpers on Ebay. What a joke. WOW! Talk about AMAZING service! I was having problems with a program crashing every time I tried to open it. I had three different people look at my computer and none of them could help. Hansen Rogers was confident he could. He has 20 years of experience and it shows! He was able to diagnose the problem and fix it by systematically checking to see exactly what the issue was. I wanted Chromium OS installed on two laptops. Lillian argued with me about Chromium OS existing until she finally googled it and learned that I she was wrong and I was right —Chromium OS exists! Why would I want to pay for you to install an OS that doesn’t even exist, Lillian? Just because you don’t know about it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. That’s telling of your perspective of your customers. Once she finally realized that I was right, I asked her if they’d install that OS on two of my computers for a little less than $100 bucks each —she hung up on me! She really hung-up on me.Tim’s computers was glad to take on the difficult task of installing Chromium OS on my two laptops and did it for less than what everyone else’s prices. They also knew what Chromium OS was ; )

If you buy your pc parts from here, just know youre basically being scalped. Just order them from Amazon or newegg... the upcharge on parts just to be able to walk into a store and buy them is ridiculous. I understand the need to make money but other stores still manage to sell the products for msrp... no need to price gouge your customers.

I have purchased several times at CH. As a senior I especially liked the way Shandar, (my sales person), took time to explain the operation of the unit that I was considering purchasing. He shows a lot of patience. He also admits when he needs to verify information. I like the fact that he is not trying to make a fast sale, but wants the customer to feel comfortable with the purchase. He should be encouraged to give mini tutorials so that the customer knows something about their purchase without the typical frustration of a manual. I will purchase again.

The have very poor customer service. The woman who waited on me when I first dropped off my PC did not have the polish that a customer service/line employee should have. She became perturbed with me when I could not answer her technical questions about my PC, and she bristled when I explained to her that I am not techno-savvy. Techies just cant help themselves from patronizing those of us who dont know as much as they do about computers. The next day when another tech called to report on the status of my PC, he took digs at me when I told him that I didnt care to replace the video card in my machine. I explained to him that I didnt do any gaming on my machine, that I used it mostly for writing and web browsing. He sarcastically replied, Well, youve got a really over-built YouTube browser. This was the last straw. I relayed my experience with Computer Heaven to friends, family, and co-workers. A friend of mine stopped using Computer Heaven years ago due partially to Computer Heavens inability to repair the companys computers, and also because the customer service was very poor. In closing, yes, Computer Heaven fixed my PC; however, their customer service leaves much to be desired. My experience with them was so distasteful that I will never use them again.

I called on the phone and spoke to a gentleman that told me that they had what I needed starting at $209 and I said I would be right over. I get here and the gentleman tried to sell me something that wouldnt work for online teaching. Im glad that I was smart enough to know that otherwise I would have been taken by these people. Also the South was kind of rude and didnt seem to care about my business. Approach at your own risk.

Recently called about a computer I was building. Needed a MSI tomahawk motherboard MAX. The rep on the phone tells me well we got tone of comparable models so I said really what you got? He proceeds to list a board that has a max ram speed of 3200 which wasnt going to work since I was going with a 3600 kit. Hence the need to go with a Tomahawk Max.I suggest rather than having people earger sell you make sure your sales people are giving out the right information.

A lady from my church was having a problem with her computer; she wasnt able to access anything. She was very upset at the thought of losing her pictures, particularly the background picture of her late husband. A co-worker recommended Computer Heaven.. The staff at Computer Heaven were friendly and very knowledgeable. They looked at the computer while I waited and assured me that it could be fixed. They completed the work timely and there were no hidden costs. When I returned the computer to the owner, she was so happy that everything was restored. I have recommended Computer Heaven and will use them again.

We own a small family business. Several weeks ago I received a frantic call from my husband stating one of the main computer’s monitor wasn’t working. The monitor worked when attached to other devices. After performing some routine troubleshooting I took the computer to Computer Heaven. I described the problem. 10 out of 10 the best customer experience I’ve ever had at any place. Steven helped me throughout the whole repair process on my tower, he called in to check on any suggestions or recommendations for my computer. Timely manner for what had been repaired and looked at. He kepted me up to date with any suggestions he had or questions he had for me. He did way more then I could have ever asked for, considering I don’t know a lot about computers. I only went in for a repair and will most likely have a full family back into gaming. Steven was VERY polite and even checked in on my computer just to make sure everything ran properly the next day. He has all the knowledge about anything you need to know about computers. I’m personally not one to do reviews but I was so extremely happy that this was really another way to pay him back for hooking me up with a computer that runs any game I choose. They are not expensive, and I’ve even heard they can try to work with you if there’s some way. I couldn’t recommend computer heaven enough. Also everyone that I talked to over the phone or in the store was JUST as polite and helpful. Once again computer heaven, thanks for ALL the help!

It worked fine I had a issue with the screen and took it back and they fixed it with no problem. Everytime we walk in here we are always greeted and asked if there is anything we can be helped with. They are happy to sit and chat with you about anything computer related to get you all set up how you need to. They have lots of computer cases and monitors and even refurbished computers. They also do repairs! Great place.

I honestly dont know how these guys have the rating they do. I am supposing its solely based on people not knowing a thing about their PC. I have called there several times pricing options for building my own PCs Every time I have called for components and parts they are so overpriced that I dont even bother. I even went in to compare the exact brands and specs they had so I wasnt being overly critical in my judgement. The price in every case was 40-100 bucks more on GPUs or video cards than best buy let alone amazon. This price was not for installation it was just the component I asked for. If you can install ir know someone who can install simple parts like Ram GPUs HDDs etc avoid this place like the plague. I like to try and buy/support local. But I cant drop an extra 100 bucks on an already expensive GPU.

This place was WONDERFUL to work with. Im a college student, so not having my laptop for a long time is unspeakable, but this group of professionals worked very quick and efficiently for me. Everyone I encountered was a delight to speak with and they helped me with everything ranging from directions, diagnostics, and protecting my files. When I dropped off my computer, the associate gave me many options and prices, so I would have time to prepare. The woman who worked on my laptop was very nice and explained everything she did and how I can prevent this from happening again.All and all a FABULOUS experience and I would recommend this place to anyone who asks!

Tl&dr - Good people with good customer support genes.My business was a small customer of Computer Heaven for years. I never wrote a review of them before because they just worked when I neeeded something. Their prices were competitive, their customer service was great, and they always went out of their way to try to get it right. But in the process of downsizing/shuttering my business, I have not been there in quite a while and probably havent done more than $100 wortth of business there last year. In addition, when I walked in a week or so ago, I did not recognize any of the staff on the floor.So I was a stranger walking in off the street asking if they had a couple of different, specialized laptop screws. I expected a No, or a $5/per set charge. The man behind the counter went into the service area, brought out a large container of unsorted screws, and took the time to look through them -- ALL of them -- and come up with these difficult to find screws -- and gave them to me. As someone who has been in the computer business for a long time, I assure you the time suck of things like this will kill your spirit, and the man at the counter just smiled and said he was glad he found them.Awesome, just awesome.

James and Hansen from the Baton Rouge store were so helpful and knowledgeable about computers. They did a really good job with helping me out with a problem I had with mine when all Best Busy Geek Squad wanted to do was scam me for my money. GO TO COMPUTER HEAVEN IN BATON ROUGE. THEY ARE THE BEST.

Tyler to the Rescue AGAIN!!! Tyler at Computer Heaven again has saved the day with the issues I seem to have with my laptop.i am a business person but not technically literate at all. Tyler not only fixed the problem but also educated me with a couple of things that I probably should have already known.Polite and courteous and never condescending. Great virus protection for our computers. We call yearly and get updated without hesitation. We have had one issue with a virus once and they quickly fixed the problem.

Went to buy an Ssd expansion for my desktop. They had a good selection, showed me how to connect it to my motherboard and even checked to see if I needed the connecting cable for it(which I did). Great selection of quality parts for anyone wanting to build a custom rig and I will be back for all my future upgrades. I will always support a local business with good and knowledgable service, even if it might be cheaper to buy online.
