Nice place, the only complaint I have is they only had 1 person working that day. Which it took a long time to check out. She was cashiering all by herself. But she was very nice and did her best under those conditions.

This time it was well stocked. Easy to find everything. Most of the time this location is very busy. It hard to get any help as well. But this time it was slow. I got great customer service.

Awesome couple gals at the register. I didn’t get her name, but the lady with the long braids was absolutely killing it at her job, way to go, keep it up! Passing through town I stayed for a couple days across the street, so I came here just a few times. In fact, each business I’ve been to in this town has had awesome customer service so far!

Pleasant employees,fast and really just a good store for just about those last minute items you may need. Will go back when Im in the area again.

Dollar General disguises itself as a bargain but mostly just gets unhealthy food to low income areas. Worst of all is the food isnt even much of a bargain. The best thing Dollar General has going for it is that it does provide a place tp shop in areas that usually dont get a grocery store of sorts.

Has a good selection, employees are friendly. A lot of transients in the parking lot, cars have been broken into. I wouldnt go too late.

I generally go to this place quite often, their prices are cheaper than walmart, great candy and tampon selection, sometimes good deal on clothes. but one time the assistant manager or clerk, said really loud in front of customers to leave her store immediately, never come back. Until finally another co worker of here came up behind her and said...not her not her..Which made me SOOOOO MAD to begin with. Because i own a non profit youth cheerleading organization High Desert Dreamers & i know people, other customers were standing right there, looking at me likeomg the cheer coach steals? She apparently thought that i that i was stealing... But they caught the right person eventually. But... Still the fact remains that they should train their management staff to be more professional and pull people aside in the event that they are going falsely accuse someone of something. Other than that... I love this place. I like the one on Rimrock better. We have 2 dollar generals in Barstow.

Small but good customer service

They could have more items or stock more quickly. Its convenient and open till 10 so that is a bonus

There is always only one register open no matter how many are in line.you have to get mad before they get someone else to check out. But they are nice .

The shelves are messy and the freezer section Is limited. The employees are the nicest people you meet. Under staffed probably covid related

I feel bad for the employees of this store!! The environment they have to work around is ridiculous !! At least they have lights in the parking lot it feels a little safer

Barstow does not have much to offer, But dollar general is one place I can count on to be open when I need something like Ice cream, sweets or even a beer at 10 pm. Always a friendly staff and respectful, everything is easy to find and nothing really to complain about. Well maybe more cold sodas in the refrigerated section

This is my go to place! The stores are always clean. The employees are always nice. I always get whatever I can from the store so I dont have to go to Walmart.

9/10 there will be a panhandler or homeless person outside asking you for money more than once. Other than that the employees are nice and store is clean.

Why is it as soon as I walk thru the doors they are serving customers that have NO MASK ON.....I thought it was required in all of California... Not to mention.. The whole U.S.......and most of the rest of the world....And its so funny that when I mentioned it to the worker that was also not wearing a mask I asked him how come theyre allowing customers in with no mask...he just laughed.....I DONT SEE WHATS SO funny.....as I set in my car to leave ..three more with no mask walk in ....

Didnt have a great variety of items

They have a variety of items and are super convenient. Ive found many of their prices are usually lower than the grocery stores.

No matter what day or time Ive visited here or even how many employees are working the wait to purchase anything is always atrocious. Worse than Walmart waits and its merely because employees will make guests wait until they finish their rounds or duties.

Love to shop at this place good deals all the time.... Dont like that I cant bring in my purse and baskets cant go out of the store. Makes it difficult when I want to purchase a lot.

Only missing one star because I bought a really cute shirt and they didnt remove the security alarm. I walked to get there and back home, it was way to cold to walk back and the weather has been sooo ugly lately.

Good variety of merchandise, I can always find milk, creamer, & frozen entrees there.

The store was clean and well stocked . Cashier had 2 customers when I arrived so I browsed the store looking for tarps, which they do not carry. Grabbed a coffee and headed back to the register. I asked Victor if maybe they carried tarps in another dept but sadly no. Victor really seemed happy and was very helpful letting me know to check Wal-Mart or Home Depot.

Called to see if they had a item in stock employee was very rude acted like she didnt want to look then left me on hold for 1 hour and 32 minutes its really sad that we cant get get good customer service in such a small town thats ok Ill go to the other one but if this is the way that customers are treated at Dollar general I wont shop here ever again
