Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms really clean. Beds oh the beds too soft. I slept on the couch/chair not pull out part and finally slept well.

Positive: Very clean and comfortable. We loved having the Cafe as an option for breakfast sandwiches and Starbucks coffee in the morning. We can grab our coffees and then get right on the road, which saves us time when traveling.

This is a great hotel. Rooms are clean, modern, and quiet. Breakfast options (not included) at the “Bistro” in the lobby were surprisingly tasty. I was grateful for the extremely fast WiFi in the hotel - perhaps the fastest I’ve seen at any hotel ever. It was super fast to get some work done, stream movies, or video chat.

This is just standard Courtyard, bland and boring. Not a great location, pretty far from everything. The room was expensive and too small for my daughters and me... Pretty limited amenities, no bar, just basic breakfast items, and bad coffee. Service was adequate, except one thing: curiously, they dont provide complimentary bottled water in the room, even for Platinum Members. Well, I never pay for water or Wi-Fi, at least in Marriott properties, so it was a problem. Next time would prefer to stay in Bar Harbor or Camden areas....

Positive: Cleanliness. Negative: The receptionist on the night shift when my daughter and I arrived at approximately 9PM EST was not as friendly and cordial as one would come to expect at a Marriot. This is the 3rd time she has been on shift during our arrivals.

I needed high-speed WiFi and reliable internet for an important business meeting. I called the hotel and Chris at the front desk did an actual speed test to confirm the upload download speed. He accommodated the check out time I needed to have my meeting, and was altogether friendly and helpful. Check in was contactless, the room was very clean and quiet and had everything- fridge, iron, hair dryer, couch, desk, etc. They are taking Covid seriously and offering hand sanitizer and masks. I felt safe staying here and had a great meeting. A+ Thanks guys!

I have come to Maine to visit my dying grandma in the hospital. My mother and I have had terrible luck finding a decent hotel all night, until we came here. Chris was so kind and accommodating. He really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and calm in such a hectic time. I cannot thank him enough for making us feel like this is a home away from home. Positive: Beautifully designed and thought out rooms. TV programming, features and remote. Negative: Their rule of no disinfectant in fitness room. Granted only one person at a time and presumed cleaning after but I would prefer the option of cleaning myself.

It was my first time staying in these rooms and I got to say I was beyond impressed with everything, the room we stayed in had a big refrigerator instead of this tiny one,this room had a lot of cupboard space fully furnished with all the dishes a small family needs, a two burner rang with about 6 of really nice counter space with a deep sink, a king size bed (super comfy btw), plus a fold out couch big enough for a kid if needed be and a really sweet desk, I regret not taking any pictures... I seem to slack on that for some odd reason and dont know why lol. Oh yeah, the bath tub is bigger then your average bath tub and the shower head had top notch pressure and the water will get as hot as any average person could stand and in my opinion that is great especially because both my wife and I like taking really hot showers 😝, this hotel gets a 5⭐ rating from me 👌P.S. I almost forgot, the room was one of the cleanest rooms Ive ever seen and Ive seen a few trust me, rates are reasonable and staff here are really awesome and accommodating also this is a place worthy of recommending to your friends. I guess you could say I was extremely impressed and Im sure if you decide to stay here you might be impressed yourselves

Reserved the pool; and only got like 40 mins. I understand it’s covid, but didn’t find it too fair to allow 12 people in the pool at once, considering how small the pool is. Doesn’t offer free breakfast, and the little “market” place in there is WAY overpriced.

Very friendly staff, day or night everyone behind the counter was super helpful. Hand sanitizing stations set up through out the hotel, complimentary masks are available for the guests. It’s very visible they are taking all the proper COVID precautions. Very pleasant stay, will stay here again for sure.

There is no better place to stay in the area! The customer service and comfort and amenities are all you need! The staff is simply amazing and care so much about each and every person. It is my home away from home!

Went to Bangor for a quick overnight getaway to see a show. The Courtyard was the perfect hotel for us. Location to Cross Center is an 8 minute drive, it was close to the mall if you wanted to shop. Everyone at the hotel was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and fresh and comfy. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Less than one star. We booked this hotel more than one month ago. We arrived at 8pm after traveling all day and were told that they had overbooked, our room had been cancelled, and we would have to find another place to stay. This is unacceptable and the worst customer service we have ever experienced at a hotel.

The hotel was nice and clean, we were near the elevator which was pretty loud along with the ice machine. I forgot my charger plugged into the wall and when I called later to let them know they said it hadn’t been seen. So pretty disappointed with that. Over all nice environment.

This hotel is squeaky clean. The beds are very comfortable. There is a great selection of bedding pillows. By mistake I left my watch on the night table. When I called back to the hotel and described the watch it had been turned in. I was thrilled to get the watch back, it was a birthday gift from my husband 12 years ago. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great, new, and relatively modern hotel option in Bangor. The location is a bit odd but the hotel makes up for it with great rooms and great prices. The rooms are nice, newly designed, spacious and decent media (tv, wifi) to support leisure and business. The fitness center is fairly small with limited space. This seems to have become the norm for hotels of this size nowadays. The small indoor pool is tight but nice to dip into on a cold winter day and great for kids. If they had a full kitchen in the lobby area theyd get a lot more business but as it is, most of the meal options are limited due to what they can do on-site. The prices are slightly inflated but thats to be expected for an in-hotel restaurant. For what they have to work with, its very good. Amazing people and service. Greeted every time I come with a smile. Always offering to get me something or grab me a cup of coffee if Im working in the lobby area. Overall a great hotel option in Bangor with great prices, amazing service, and decent amenities. Clearly, they are well managed and doing more with what they have than other hotels Ive stayed in. Leave it to Mainers to figure out how to do more with less!

The staff at Courtyard Bangor were extremely helpful in organizing our family gathering. We reserved a conference room which provided the perfect setting for a catered meal for our group. We didnt have to worry about the small children disturbing other guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable and also had couches with pull-out beds which were great for the kids. They had a fun time in the pool, then later in the evening the staff lit a fire in the outdoor fire pit. We were able to sit and visit in the spacious lobby area. Our family gathering was a very memorable occasion. Many thanks to the Courtyard Bangor!

Thank you for this opportunity to congratulate your manager for his or her excellent hiring practice. Chronologically, my experience with the excellence of your staff started Wednesday before my stay. I called and spoke with Mary who was helpful and pleasant. I asked for a corner room or the top floor. Mary said that she could not guarantee anything, but when we checked in, we had a corner room. From a management perspective, this is perfect; under promise and over deliver. Mary was great on the phone. We had a five hour drive, plus, from Boston to get to the hotel. After dropping off our friends, we went to the hotel around 10:45 and met another fantastic employee; Caitlin,the food service(manager?). She was incredibly accommodating to our request for some food, even though she was breaking everything down for the night. I used to be in the food service business, and I know how I used to feel about customers looking for service when I was halfway out the door. Caitlin treated us as though we were the most important customers in the world. We were starving and the food was hot, well prepared and delicious. When we went down for breakfast Saturday morning, Caitlin was there to greet us with her bright smile and positive attitude. What an asset she is for your business. Again, Caitlin was helpful and breakfast was delicious. She recommended a fritatta to my friend and it was perfect. Sunday when we were checking out, I got to meet Mary in person, and she was just as nice as she was over the phone. During breakfast there was a minor incident with a loud guest and Mary was quick to handle the situation with calm professionalism. She apologized to anyone within earshot, which was gracious, but in my opinion, wholly unnecessary.Richard Branson who has enjoyed a bit of success in business, says that your customers should not come first; your employees should come first. If you take care of your employees, they in turn will do right by your customers. I hope you take care of Caitlin and Mary, because they are doing the day in-day out business of taking care of your customers. Any business, if it is to succeed, needs people like them. Truly had a great time, also my first vacation to Maine! I highly recommend this Courtyard to anyone visiting Bangor. Very close to BGR as well as some of the nearby attractions like the Bangor Mall, Cascade Park and Downtown Bangor area (including the Waterfront and the Kenduskeag River Trail). Also a nice drive to Acadia National Park which I also visited. For a longer drive the West Quoddy Lighthouse is another place to visit 2 hrs away (easternmost lighthouse in the US). The people and staff were down-to-earth and simply nice, and made my vacation that much more memorable. I appreciated their help and service very much. Truly a perfect stay in Maine for my first ever visit...and will return again...!

The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms and overall hotel were very clean with up to date furniture and decor. We had two of the extended rooms and there was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. Mini fridge & microwave were in the rooms and is always a plus when traveling with kids. The cafe they have in the lobby was nice but a bit expensive and limited especially when traveling with kids. The pool area was clean with towels provided as well. We will definitely stay again!! Overall no complaints

We arrived late at night and were thrilled that the connecting rooms we requested were still available. We dined at the cafe in the morning and found the food and service to be tasty and quick. Our only complaint was that the fruit salad was not as fresh as hoped for and tasted sour. We returned 3 days later and again had wonderful connecting rooms as requested. This time we brought up food for dinner so we could watch a movie in the room. It was very quick and good. The beds were comfortable enough. I would like to see a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Also, the air conditioner cycled on and off at night making it difficult to sleep through the night.Overall, this hotel provided unusually high service for this category. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. The decor was clearly well-designed and implemented, with a cool built-in in each room. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers.

My 17 year old daughter and I spent an overnight at this venue will visiting the University of Maine. We were very pleased with how clean it was, the decor and the restaurant. Bangor has few healthy food options - lots of fast food- so we really enjoyed the healthy and tasty breakfast at the Marriott. The staff were very friendly- the receptionist, chef, waitress and maid. We would highly recommend this property if you are visiting Bangor or the University of Maine at Orono ( it was about 15 minutes away).

Reviews, whether intended or not, can adversely affect a business. I had half committed early on to review places that have had a positive impact on my life, my love of food, entertainment, education and culture, or my travels. With that being said, instances arrive where the actions of the place of business you are dealing with become so negligent, or so sub par in their behavior, that public record must be made of it. I will choose to ignore a full commentary on Marriotts incessant affiliate telemarketing phone calls post Every, Single, Stay. I will go to the point of the weekend July 10 through July 12. We reserved a room at the Marriott Courtyard, Bangor Maine, through the Marriott Bonvoy App nearly 10 days prior to our stay. The reservation at the specified hotel went through without incident and we received email confirmation for the specified dates. 20 hours prior to arrival we called to confirm check in time. The phone call was redirected to another Marriott hotel who informed us that the Marriott Courtyard, Bangor Maine was, in fact, not open. When questioned as to when we were going to be notified the person stated that they were planning on notifying us later that day. This sent us scrambling for another hotel in the area that met our needs. I can not begin to express the lack of concern that a hotel chain has toward their guests where they not only allow reservations to be made in a facility that is closed, but then wait until less than 20 hours before the guests arrival before contemplating telling that guest the facility had not yet opened. Yes, Covid19 has caused some confusion in certain ways but this, this is not confusion, this is sheer negligence. The post stay telemarketing calls were barely tolerable and this simply pushes it over the top. Marriott, nor any of their affiliates, will be getting our business in the future.

We have stayed at the Courtyard in Bangor multiple times and have never been disappointed. The service, cleanliness and value are consistently top notch. The people at the front desk are always friendly and very welcoming. We have been very fortunate to find great AAA rates multiple times. My only disappointment is the lack of USB charging ports, but their WiFi was fast and consistent.

Very nice hotel located very close to the Bangor Shopping Mall.Rooms and bathroom are large. The entire hotel, including rooms are new (or newly refurbished), clean and well maintained. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is also a restaurant and coffee shop on site.Will stay again if in the area.

The staff at this hotel are professional, helpful and friendly. The hotel is only 12 minutes away from the airport and centrally located to numerous restaurants and shopping. The one hour drive to Millinocket is an easy one.

How can a hotel in right off 95 in Bangor feel luxurious and so well done? A fantastic staff. Julie has been amazing.She has helped us over the past 5 years while our daughter was at UMaine, suggesting places to purchase supplies, places to eat, etc, and just all around being incredibly genuine and nice and helpful. I cant say enough about her. The hotel was spotless and very well appointed. The Starbucks and the little Bistro really came in handy when we needed to grab a quick bite or cup of coffee. Whenever we stayed I knew we could count on consistency and a friendly atmosphere. We wouldnt stay anywhere else while in Bangor area!!!

I came to Maine unexpectedly to watch my son play baseball. I was able to book a room easily and when I got to the hotel, check in was fast. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We got in late and I loved that there was a bar at the hotel where we could get a drink and some food.

I found the Courtyard Marriott in Bangor Maine to be clean, organized, and modern. I found the staff to be moderately polite and helpful. I found the restaurant service and quality to be acceptable, however not worthy of a special trip. I found the online reservation to be convenient, however not all the amenities I had requested were available upon my arrival, i.e. extra towels and pillows. Overall, I would return to the Courtyard in the future because of its accessible location, comfortable beds and rooms, and modern touches.

Im a Gold Elite member and stay at Marriott locations for 95% of my travels. This is the first time I have seen a fire pit/gathering area right outside of peoples rooms. Its a nice feature but I dont think it should be in use past 10pm. Guests are trying to sleep and within 3 ft is an area that encourages late-night gathering and talking with nothing more than a sheet of glass separating the noise.Otherwise, the room was spotless, shower was great, bistro was excellent. Customer service at check-in was amazing, as always!

My colleagues and I (and husband when he travels) all prefer courtyard Marriott as a business hotel destination, and the Bangor location in particular is a favorite. Updated, clean, very comfortable and friendly staff. Im always well rested and ready for my meetings- and the location is very convenient.

This was a stay in Bangor, Maine. My husband and I were on vacation and our destination was Bar Harbor, Maine. This hotel was about an hour or so away, but much more reasonable than the hotels in Bar Harbor. The hotel was lovely, the room was very accommodating. Had plenty of room, a great work area, mini fridge and the bed was comfy. The staff was very pleasant and we had a very nice two day stay here. If you stay at this hotel, make sure to go visit Bar Harbor. We actually went on a fishing trip and then ate a lobster dinner in downtown Bar Harbor. And for sure visit Franconia State Park, which is in Bar Harbor. The view from Cadillac mountain is spectacular! Also, the grounds at this location are beautiful! There is a fire pit area behind the hotel, we saw it from our room but never had the opportunity to utilize it.You will not be disappointed staying here. Enjoy!

We all know that Marriott offers a reliable and repeatable experience, at any property. The Courtyard Bangor stands out even in the field of reliable hospitality, due to the quality of the staff. I dont know whether the differences are due to Maine water, or excellent management & training, but I find the people at the Bangor Courtyard to be friendly helpful and just plain pleasant. I look forward to returning here!I choose a Courtyard because I like the restaurant in the hotel; I can get a simple dinner and a very nice breakfast without overdoing either, and without needing to go elsewhere. My main intereactions with the staff center around breakfast and dinner; all are perfect.
