We unfortunately experienced some serious car trouble while visiting Maine, but thankfully made it to Bennets before the car died. I was an unplanned walk-in, and even though they were busy, he took the time to check the car out for us, let us know what was wrong, gave us the exact computer readouts, and included pricing. He let us know he wasnt able to fix the car right away, but referred us to another mechanic, who did a great job and corrected the issue. Bennet was honest and kind, something you dont always find in the mechanic world, especially in NYC. We were able to continue the rest of our visit successfully, and a month later, are still raving about how amazing our experience was here. If you want honesty and quality, this is the place! My transmission failed on my way back to Boston from Acadia National Park. I was incredibly fortunate to make it to Bennett Auto. They were fully booked for the next week, but Tom was so kind to offer to take a look at my car. I was totally flustered on what to do. Tom and Melissa were so incredibly helpful and laid out all the options I had. They even helped me get a towing company out to tow my car back to Boston. Amazing people! So grateful for their help and generosity.

I cannot recommend Bennett’s more. I’ve used them for oil changes and tires in the past and they were always great. But I had an odd noise I wasn’t sure of and dropped in. They wanted to look at it, unscheduled, and the owner dropped me back off at work. He called me shortly after with the issue and quote. After it was completed-same day-he came and picked me up. The customer service and dedication truly makes Bennett’s stand out.

Tom and his team are always fair, helpful, and honest. Ive trusted Bennetts with my cars for years, and will continue to do so.

My car started shaking violently for two days at any speed I went. I ended up having a bubble in my tire and ended up needing four new tires on my car because the rest were deteriorating badly too. He had me come into the shop and explained and showed me my tires so I could see for myself how bad they were. I called on July 1st, 3 days before a holiday weekend, they could hear the worry in my voice and got me in 6 hours later to change my bad tire. I came back 2 days later and got the rest of my tires taken care of. These guys fixed my car two days before a holiday weekend (I needed my car so I could drive to call 2 hours away) on a 6 hour notice and did a phenomenal job! Amazinggg customer service, very very reasonable prices, quick and great work. This is definitely going to be the place I go for any car repairs in the future! 11/10 recommend! I was talking to another customer while waiting, and they travel all the way from New Hampshire because this is the only shop they have trusted and gone to for many years!

What a great find this place was. We had to leave Maine unexpectedly and needed an inspection sticker for our RV before leaving the state. We called ahead and they could accommodate our RV in their garage. Easy access to l-95 and I-395 was a plus. Very RV friendly and very nice people.

I was very happy with the service I received at Bennetts. They could have easily told me I needed a dozen things done to my car and I probably wouldnt have known the difference. They made sure during my first visit that I didnt leave driving on my threadbare tires. When I returned for the more time consuming work it was done in the timeframe promised at a very fair price.

Have been doing business with this shop for the past three years. I could only say good things about them in every way.Once my truck needed a part, wholesale online $850.00. Bennetts mechanic fabricated it for me for a 30 minute labor charge!While a loyal customer I have shopped their pricing many times and they are always on the lower cost end of the scale.The waiting room looks better than many upscale living rooms with Great coffee or tea and even snacks available. When leaving a car overnight they drove us home.They are honest, reasonable and usually on time with estimates. Add friendly and accommodating to that. My family and friends couldnt be happier.

My husband took his truck in for an inspection and some repair work. Bennetts called him to let him know what needed to be done, but also let him know about a warranty issue on his truck that needed to be repaired by the dealership. My husband was very impressed with how thorough the information was and how honest they were about the repairs.In addition, I have taken my vehicle there a few times. Each time, I have been treated with respect. One time, I had a flat tire on a Friday afternoon. Bennetts got me right in and were able to repair the tire quickly. Another time, I needed to have my brakes checked. I took my car in with no appointment, and they were able to complete my repair in a timely manner. I really appreciate the customer service you receive at Bennetts as well as the attention to detail and the quality of repairs.

Reasonable prices. Knowledgeable workers. You know what to expect and you get it. Will always go there for my repair needs, unless I need something done and cant get it done there when I need it done at that moment.

Best bet if your car or truck needs a little or a lot of TLC. I now bring my twelve year old Volvo XC70 here for simple stuff like inspections and oil changes to more sophisticated stuff like battery diagnostics and tune-ups. Besides being the best mechanics in Bangor, Tom and his team are the most gracious and honest hosts you will ever experience (they even kept a lost coffee mug for me for months until I made my next appointment)!

6 years ago I started bringing my 2008 Honda Accord to Bennetts and it had about 110,000 miles on the car. Today I hit 300,000 miles and it is still running strong. I attribute this milestone to the team at Bennetts and their fair pricing and honest work.

I went in for a state inspection, and there was one component that didnt pass. They told me what it was, showed it to me in the garage, and said they wouldnt charge me anything if I wanted to take it and fix it myself.Im not great when it comes to DIY car repair, so I asked if they could fix the issue, and in a few minutes they gave me a quote for the maintenance. I agreed, they did it incredibly fast, and I was on my way with an improved car and an inspection sticker.These guys do great, honest work. They didnt try and push me to buy service or parts, just did their best to help. Highly recommended.

Before I brought my car to Bennetts, I kept having issues with my tires. I bought brand new tires from my old mechanic and he put them on, but within just a few days they were both continuously going flat. It got to the point where I was putting air in them every day. When it was time to get my inspection sticker I decided to bring it to Bennetts instead, and Im so glad I did. This place was absolutely amazing. Charlie Buteau was the mechanic who worked on my car, and he was extremely phenomenal. Not only did he fix what was wrong with my car, but he actually explained it to me in a way I understood. Come to find out the previous mechanic hadnt sealed my new tires, and when he put them on the rim, they were both dented but he didnt bother to fix them. And when Charlie checked my other two tires, one had 90 psi in it, and the other had 75, which is no good. He fixed my car right up and was so kind and professional about it. He didnt try to pressure me into getting unnecessary things fixed, he politely explained some of the things that might go wrong with my car if I kept ignoring them, and that getting it fixed sooner rather than later would be beneficial. He wasnt pushy at all, he was very informative and charismatic. He didnt make me feel stupid for not knowing a lot about cars and he made sure I understood exactly what he did and how to prevent it from happening again in the future. The next time I need anything done to my car, from an oil change to an inspection sticker, I will definitely bring it back to Bennett Auto Center.

Their customer service is excellent. I went there to diagnose a problem with my car and to receive a quote for their services. I was in and out in no more than 20 minutes.The problem I had with this company was receiving a quote. They explained the problem thoroughly and named a price. When I asked to receive the quote in writing, they looked at me like I had three heads. Ten minutes later, I received a piece of paper that simply named the procedure needed to be performed and a price. There was no breakdown to explain where the price came from. I looked up the parts online and did my own calculations and I could have the same thing done by my regular mechanic for $150 less.Beware of a possible scam.

Today I brought my car into Bennett to do a State Inspection and the experience that I had there was definitely a fantastic experience! All the staff were friendly and professional and completed the work in a very timely fashion.The WOW factor was Charlie Buteau. In the past Ive taken my vehicle to other places in the area and gotten a lot of bad experiences. They were either not very professional or they spoke to me in a way that was very demeaning and condescending. Charlie took the time to explain everything that was checked on the car and told me what items that were coming up in the future that I should take a look at. I was very impressed that he spoke to me like a regular person it was a great experience! Not only am I recommending Bennett to all my friends but for now on I will be doing all my service through Bennett! Thank you again for the amazing service you guys do!

LADIES, pay attention, you can trust this garage with your vehicle. A single woman has a hard time knowing who they can rely on to fix their vehicle and not take advantage of the fact that they might not know what they should when they take it to have it worked on. They did both wheel bearings for less than the price that Quirks wanted to do one. They replaced my wheel bearings on the front and rear right side. Not only were they quite educated about what needed to be done, they went over and above what needed to be done to be sure my car was safe for me. Ride to and from work, awesome waiting facility. Mine will never go anywhere else now that I have found this garage. Thanks Charlie and all the others at Bennett Auto Center.

Just caught Tom Bennett putting parts on my car when they didnt need them. Took the parts to a ford dealer and they said the parts were 100% fine and didnt need to be changed and that I had been scamed out of $400 bucks. A good shop would have fixed the problem but not Tom the jew Bennett.Ask for all of your old parts and price check everything on the computer. This type of business needs to be stopped.

Arguably the best auto repair Ive been to in the country. I travel alot and my engine was having problems. I changed the spark plugs, changed the coil. Refigured the plug wiring and the cylinder 1 still wasnt firing. I took it too a bunch of auto places in Mass, new Hampshire and Maine. No one knew whym these dudes fixed my car for free! In like 5 minutes. It ended up just being my fuel injector got unplugged someone how. No big project. But they didnt charge me for it! If Im ever in Maine again Ill go here!

I didnt have a bad experience with them and they seem to do good work but I needed upper ball joints replaced and they quoted me $1050 and I looked around and called Murrys in orono they quoted $599 for the same job so not impressed with Bennetts quote.

Put on snow tires but one leaked air around seal. Had to take to another garage they were to busy to fit me in.
