I must say they get you anyway they can. Not only did they take my security deposit of 500.00 but then charged me an additional 400+ dollars for cleaning and painting after I moved out. They tried to charge me for their maintenance neglect over the 2+ years I rented. This charge included a few crayon marks on the wall ( toddler with ASD), a broken screen and screw holes ( which I patched before moving out), A stain on the carpet and dirt scuffs on the one bedroom door. They even charged me for the rust on the heaters and chipped paint on the outside and shed area of the apartment and not cleaning out the bathroom vent. Also, the apartment molds in the summer due to the floor being directly on top of concrete. Im thinking of sending them a bill for damages. If you chose to rent from them document everything.

Slum lord at best. Dealing with office staff was infuriating. Never returned calls, rude, acted like she was better than me, and actually told me they could do whatever they wanted because if it wasn’t for them I’d be homeless. They made me feel like I was less than because I’m disabled. Many other tenants in my building have has similar experiences. Asked for owner information so I could deal with him directly and was told they wouldn’t do that. He couldn’t be bothered. I ended up borrowing money from family to move. I could deal with being treated so poorly.

Karen Paul is the worst person to deal with there being that I was fired with no warning and yet another employee is doing the exact same thing aleat I was letting her know on my end the other employee is not.Yet he is still there and they dont know how bad theregetting screwed over by him in the end and wonder why apartments arent done on time.

Extremely unprofessional group of people. Refuse to answer phone calls, say they are in a meeting, not available etc. For days on end when you try to contact them. They are way too big, own too many properties, and generally treat prospective tenants like bums. Shame on them.

My 2 boys and I have been tenants of theres in Ellsworth Maine for almost two years. I have had a very good experience with their management! They have always been friendly and professionalwith us. I would recommend renting from them. The apartment I am in is well maintained and very comfortable. I am sorry others seem to have jad such a bad experience. I can only speak for myself. Thank you.

Got denied for a misdemeanor 5 years ago apparently they go back 10 years. I begged to appeal and plead my case because there was a day years ago I wasnt the best person and they said it wouldnt help. I can understand wanting good a good tenant but holy conoli

Wish there was a place to put no stars they treat you like trash and call the cops/dhs on you they also allow other tenants to abuse you and bully you nothing good came from living there and there maitninice guy stalks you and peeks threw your window and they also dont give 48 to let you no there gonna enter your unit I was sleeping in my underwear and one of there guys just walked in on me so disappointed with how they treated me no privacy and pushed around everyday/called everyday and harrassed I believe I was under so much stress my child was born early. I would never recommend this company or riverbend apartments

So, never been late on rent, first time post office issue and been in contact with Stacey from financing for a few days now and got threatened with a 7 days notice. Will never do business with Maine development again, wish I could get zero stars.
